I normally don’t like to post about serious shit like this because in all honesty it makes me uncomfortable to talk about, as well as I don’t think I can talk about it as well as plenty of others who can, and I do fear about spreading misinformation. But fuck this shit, I have been silent during this for far too long!
It has been over 100 days since Israel has killed THOUSANDS of Palestinians and have flattened near all of the Gaza Strip. They say they’re doing this to free their hostages from Hamas, but when offered them back in exchange for a ceasefire they REFUSED IT. This was never about their people or their hostages or whatever fucking bullshit they decided to spread in hopes for sympathy. This is about control, this about colonization, this is about a GENOCIDE.
My country Canada is one of the few countries in support of Palestine, despite my government also doing minuscule things to help the Palestinians, because if they actually tried to help, they would also have to acknowledge the colonization, racism, and genocide of the indigenous people that live here. My country, like the others who are also supporting Israel, is being run by a bunch of fucking despicable cowards who have been playing into the lies and blatant propaganda that Israel has been spewing out like fucking filth.
They get to live comfortably in their homes, not worried about anything, while Palestinians are displaced, dying, cold, hungry, afraid. How many fucking times do they have to show you their dead families, injuries, ruined or destroyed buildings, sobbing faces to get it through your fucking heads?! Israel minister just renewed a call to strike GAZA with a NUCLEAR BOMB!!!

People in Gaza have been saying this would happen since the very start, as soon as the occupation started corralling everyone into the southern part of the strip they said this would happen. We watched it happen as the “safe” zones grew smaller and smaller and every time Rafah was targeted by air strikes even before this. And no one who could actually stop this lifted a finger. It’s been 129 days.
if you still think what’s going in Palestine is a war after seeing whats been going on for the past 106 days and the past 75 YEARS you can seriously fuck off. This Is a GENOCIDE. An incredibly well documented genocide that people are still refusing to acknowledge. I have seen countless videos off children crying because they lost their entire family, there are so many videos of children begging the world to do something. 30,000. That’s how many Palestinians have been lost. And that doesn’t even account for the amount that have been severely injured or the amount affected by that loss. This is not normal, stop turning a blind eye, wake up and call for a ceasefire. Bisan is calling for a global strike week from the 21st to the 28th. Stay home from work or school stop giving money to any corporations and make as much noise as you can for Palestine. If you absolutely cannot stay home from work or school do not stop talking about Palestine. Share every post about the ongoing genocide that you can. Stop posting any other forms of content, inform any one who may not know. Your silence makes you complicit. May the Palestinians live to see the end of this horror.

My family is still staying in half of the church that wasn’t affected by the bombing because there is nowhere else to stay other than tents. They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. Even when there is no bombing, they can still hear the loud buzzing sound of the military planes above them, which would keep anyone who hears it awake. Along with everything, My grandma has diabetes and osteoporosis, so she can’t walk. A lot of GODZILLA MINUS ONE's anti-war message resonates heavily with me. Despite being set ~80 years ago and specifically in one region of the world, its sentiment is universal.
And I turn to the real world, and I see the very thing the movie spoke against - no one deserves to die just because some well-dressed people in business suits say so.
"One side must be obliterated" is not anti-war. Lobbing munitions capable of leveling entire buildings and calling the casualties "human shields" is not anti-war. Boasting of being an upholder of peace while supplying weapons to oppressors is not anti-war.
Saying no to a ceasefire is not anti-war.
Aggressive reminder that this is a pro-palestine blog! If you support Israel, and GENOCIDE, go away!!! Forever!!! If you’re “neutral” in the face of war, also go away!!! Forever!!!

It's easy to pretend there's layers of complexity that make this conflict too difficult to understand without a PhD. But it's actually very easy to understand. Thousands snd thousands of kids are being slaughtered by design, and every day we see it plainly on social media.
