Tennessee Cabin Views
Last night the mountains graced me with one of my favorite views. Post-storm mountain fog. I was often drawn to the Appalachians when the weather forecast was rainy. It’s something about those summer storms and the glowy green forest that contrasts with the gray sky. Then the leftover clouds hovering the mountains. I sat on the porch and just reveled in this view. This time, instead of the novelty, it felt familiar. Like sitting with an old friend.
Exploring the Waccamaw River and surrounding creeks via kayak today. Any day spent around the water and bald cypress trees is a good day in my book. And yes, we did see a gator, but as usual, he could have cared less about us.
