the inconsistency of my art style has been a massive insecurity of mine for as long as I can remember.. for years and years I've been beating myself up over my inability to stick to one technique or ~signature look~. it feels like I'm lacking identity as an artist when everything I draw looks like it was made by a different person. I hate it more than anything.

but recently, I've come to appreciate my ability to switch from style to style in order to achieve the vibe I'm looking for. from uber cartoony to anime to semi-realism, it's a good skill to have.

those insecurities of mine still exist, and I hate not having That One Style I always go back to at the end of the day, something that feels like me, but maybe I should stop calling it inconsistency and start calling it range.
