Babey Overlords AU where Oscar and Ruby switch places with Salem and Oscar respectively and are looking to take over the world. Because Oscar is in the castle most of the time, his outfit doesn’t change as much but I am looking to give more outfits in the future. 

Tell us more about baby overlords? Why did they decide? Where is Ozpin and salem? How cute are they together? Relationship dynamic? So many questions

Oh, wow, I really wasn’t expecting anyone to actually ask about the babeys XDDD

Now, I will preface this by saying that this AU is heavily influenced by @bastart13‘s Reverse RWBY AU. So, if you see similarities between their AU and mine, it’s not a coincidence. I think their reverse rwby au is cool as jazz and couldn’t resist. 

Ruby Rose is young and bright but is heavily contrasted by how deluded and crazy she is. Her mother, Summer Rose, died as a result of Salem and Vale’s system, resulting Ruby in having a long-standing grudge against Salem as well as institutes of power because she believes they are corrupt. Taiyang didn’t take Summer dying very well and Yang and Raven didn’t have much of a positive adult influence in their life growing up, with Raven and Taiyang having a very bad divorce and Qrow running the Branwen Tribe. Ruby wanted to give the world a Happily Ever After no matter what, everybody should be happy and nobody will suffer like she did ever again. 

Oscar Pine became the host of the Oz Collective at a very young age and their knowledge and power broke him. He was scared of himself, of the Oz Collective ... Until he met Ruby Rose, who lit a light to the dark shadows surrounding. Oscar found drive, and slowly gained more confidence in himself. Due to the Oz Collective’s shared memories and influence, Oscar wants to take over the world and believes Ruby’s Happily Ever After is the way to do that. Eventually Oscar consumes the Oz Collective and stands as the dominant soul above all of them. Ruby and Oscar will have their Happily Ever After and they’ll be the King and Queen of the new world. 

Oscar and Ruby are nuts but they are nuts together. Ruby wants everything to be roses and sunshine and she was okay just giving the world a Happily Ever After, as warped as her view of it is. But then Oscar was like “no, no, no, let’s rule it to make sure everything goes well”. 

Their relationship is like chess, with Ruby being the Queen, doing most of the field work to get the maiden powers and relics meanwhile Oscar is the King plans from at home in their castle and developing a ... secret weapon of sorts. 

As a sharp contrast to Salem’s relationship with Oz and Cinder in canon, Oscar and Ruby stand as equals, helping and supporting each other. They’re sickeningly sweet with each other. Believe it or not, it’s actually difficult to plan villainous schemes because these two keep being all lovey-dovey by holding hands, saying sweet nothings and giving widdle eskimo kisses. 

They are so in love and would never think of hurting the other. They’ll even have cake and tea as the whole world burns down around them. 

Oh! And Salem takes the place of Ozpin. She’s had a few staged “deaths” throughout the ages to lay low a few times. While she is the headmistress of Beacon, she’s also the dorm mother of Beacon, and is quite involved in her students’ lives. Some say she’s like a second mother. 

Ozpin before he checked out and got his soul eaten by Oscar plotted dastardly schemes and was a devastatingly handsome crime boss. Clearly, he was too pretty to have his existence continued, and died.

I love the baby overlord Au so much. Imagine Yang and the rest (if they are with ruby and all) trying to plan evil schemes but at the head of the big table its Ruby and Oscar cuddling and such. " guys we need to focus" " hold on one more kiss!" " guys...." At least Blake and Yang keep their love private lol. And one person must be their biggest shipper!

It is very hard to plan evil schemes when Ruby and Oscar are acting so lovey-dovey to each other. It’s even harder when they do start plan and Ruby pulls out her incoherent crayon drawings which she calls ‘diagrams’. 

Yang is a general for Ruby and Oscar, enabling her evil deeds. She is wholly loyal to her sister, but she approves of Oscar. She is the Babey Overlord’s biggest shipper. A huge perk of it is that Oscar makes Ruby genuinely happy and has a scrapbook full of ideas for their eventual wedding. 

Not only is Yang loyal to Ruby to the point of murder, Yang has an obsession with strength, which is why she agreed to let Oscar switch out her human arm for a grimm arm. Her arm is a huge boon in battle, able to change size, even in mid-movement, reach across long distances and generating claws sharp enough to rip out someone’s heart. 

Yang also has a dragon, lovingly named Bumblebee, whom she travels with. (Too bad Bumblebee dies during the Mistral Arc. It’s the equivalent of killing her dog and she is very angry). Bumblebee was named for the way he made ‘adorable’ buzzing noises. (Yang said it sounded like bees buzzing. In truth, it sounded like a buzzsaw.)

I wanted to make Yang’s cowgirl look a point to emphasise her wild personality. The show’s been kinda losing that aesthetic for me so I made it very blatant here. Yeehaw.

But, unfortunately, Blake and Yang are not a thing in this AU. Blake takes the place of Adam and she’s racist against humans, like Adam in canon is. So she’s not going to be reciprocating any of Yang’s flirting, no matter how hard the blonde cowgirl may try. Not to mention, Yang’s greatest love will always be, in according order, 1) Ruby, 2) Bumblebee and 3) Spicy Food. 

Yang isn’t very fond of Qrow and Raven. They weren’t present in her early life. She’s always thought that Raven left her for Salem and Qrow was just guy that is meant to be her uncle. If Raven had been in Yang’s early life, she and Ruby wouldn’t have turned out the way they did. She doesn’t like her dad much either, viewing him as the weakling that left her and Ruby to fend for themselves despite him being right there to protect them.

T/W: Character death, a very dark scenario for a child to be in, implied crippling depression

Ruby stared out at the cliff, seeing the ocean waves beyond lap out peacefully on the sandy shores. The golden light washing over her and the dream-like clouds were a sharp contrast to the last time Ruby was here, dark and overcast, promising nothing good. And it delivered. 

Ruby’s very mother died on this spot, trying to stop an evil all on her own. No back-up, no blessings from comrades, nothing to help but her weapon and her God-given eyes. All to protect humanity. It was … It was a good goal. One Ruby aspired to, like the heroes in her books. But … was it worth the way Summer died? Painfully and by herself? Well, almost.

Ruby had been there. 

Ruby held her hand as she died. Ruby just wanted to be with mommy and she watched mommy faced off against the Dark Man. Ruby shuddered to think of the Dark Man. A dark silhouette with spidery black veins sticking out against bone white skin. He made Ruby think of the night terrors that hid in the shadows, the terror that would actually creep out and eat you whole. 

The dark clouds, the red of her mother’s blood spilling on the ground and the Dark Man towering over her was all Ruby could remember. She was still a child, ten years old now, but more of a child then. Only five, Yang had said. 

And if Summer dying was like a bullet to the heart, then what happened afterwards was like slow poison. Her bright father losing his light, the constant check-ups from Raven growing longer and longer in between, and then … Then it was just Yang and Ruby all alone in Patch. Ruby loved her father, but his sadness just robbed him of any will he had. And Yang and Ruby had to carry on, having to survive in that house surrounded by trees and grimm, all by themselves, with nobody to help them. 

Nobody should have to be alone like Ruby and Yang were. Nobody should be struck with sorrow like her father. And nobody should die like her mother did. 

Pain and suffering were nothing but unsightly stains in this beautiful world. It deserved better than that.

Steps. Ruby turned around quickly, ready to run. The woods were no place for little girls, Ruby knew that well from wandering off the path for travellers. But this wasn’t the season for grimm to be roaming around. So what–

What?

A boy.

The boy stood timid and unsure, nervously darting his hands. Alarm bells went off in Ruby’s head. Something wasn’t right with this boy. But he looked so scared … Ignoring her instinctual apprehension, Ruby slowly approached the boy. 

Features became more apparent as Ruby neared. Her initial alarm turned to discomfort as she saw more and more of the boy. Under his aged and worn shirt, bandages covered his hands and neck, even one eye. The dark colour of his hair almost seemed to be fading away,leaving it unevenly black and white. The boy’s uneasiness grew with each step Ruby took, rubbing his bandaged hands togetherly and mumbling under his breath.  

“A-Are you …” Ruby stammered. “Are you okay? Are you lost?”

The boy murmured something, too low for Ruby to hear. 

“W-What? Sorry, I didn’t catch that. Could you–”

“I said have you seen a cane?!” The boy snapped. Ruby flinched, not expecting such a loud tone to come from someone so small. The boy cringed. “I–I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’msorryi’msorryi’msorry. He’s gonna be mad if I don’t find it. I–” A tear bubbled up in the boy’s one eye, but instead of it being clear and translucent, it was inky and black. Ruby took a careful step back. 

The boy shook violently and he rubbed his face harshly with his hands. “I’m trying! Stop yelling at me!”

“I’m not yelling at you,” Ruby said softly. She didn’t know what to do. She looked around nervously, vaguely hoping Yang was here. The boy scared Ruby. He made her feel so small and uncertain despite being worse off than Ruby was. The boy was crying now, little sobs and hiccups spilling out of him. 

When someone is upset,  Ruby’s mother had said. You should try and help them. It means more than you think.

Ruby fumbled around, getting her work rag out from where she stuffed it into the hem of her shorts and held it hesitantly out towards the boy. “H-Here.”

The boy dragged his hands from his eyes and stared at the rag uncertainty. “T-Thank you.” The boy accepted it, bringing it to his face in slow movements. Ruby tried to ignore the black splotches staining the cloth when the boy was done. 

“I-If you want,” Ruby tried to sound comforting, “I can help you find your cane. I know the woods.”

“You’d do that?” The small hope in his voice broke Ruby’s tiny heart. 

Ruby nodded, shyly. 

And then …

And then the boy smiled, cracked lips timidly spreading out. Ruby’s heart soared, being able to fade away at least some of the darkness plaguing the boy. She’d do more. She’d made the boy happy. The happiest boy in the world if she could. And she could start by helping him find his cane. 

So since emercury week is coming up, i figure i gotta ready for one of the prompts. here we have Mercury and Emerald swapped out with Pyrrha and Jaune. 

Mercury is every problematic teen rockstar you’ve seen in mainstream media who was won five tournaments back to back and also trashed hotel rooms, smashed a car and has posed for magazines and sports brand. Most of his gear is sponsored. 

Meanwhile Emerald is a very powerful semblance user who feels she has a debt she can never repay to Cinder Fall. She’s not happy that Mercury is her partner. At all.

Whitley switched places with Winter so now he’s the youngest specialist in Atlesian history at the tender age of sixteen. Penny however is in the same place as she is in canon, except she’s emotionless and does not compute feelings ... until later. 

Let’s just say the relationship between Whitley and Penny are like this ...

Concept Art for Lie Ren and Nora Ren

@utrukdoomhammer asked for me to do Team JNPR. Well, my friend, I am going through that list slowly XD

Nora and Ren are both older here, around their mid-twenties. They’re the OG Crime Babeys before Ruby and Oscar walked in. They take the place of Roman and Neo in this AU. They both are notorious criminals, running a gang in Vale. Nora primarily runs the operations with Ren watching in the background. And just like Roman, Nora bites it. That’s why I have her with the dead anime mom side cut. 

I’ll get to Pyrrha and Jaune eventually and I’ll reblog this post with their designs. 

Can you tell us more about the babey overlord au? How does Cinder and ruby meet? Will Salem try to change ruby veiw of the world?

I’m frankly surprised by the amount of people that want this AU to be elaborated upon. Keep em comin’ folks. 

Cinder takes the place of Ruby in canon, where she’s an expert fighter that took the notice of Salem and was allowed into Beacon on ‘recommendation’. Cinder is still for power as she is in canon but of a different sort. She wants to be the strongest huntress in existence and be remembered as a legend. This is due to a crap childhood and a grudge. Because of this Cinder is driven towards become a huntress, training endlessly and has a single-minded focus on it. Her arc during Beacon is to relax and become a better person before she can be the best huntress ever. 

Cinder meets Ruby like they did in canon, in school. Cinder thinks Ruby is kind of a baby, bc Ruby was from Mistral Academy but was 2 years younger than everyone else. She keeps falling asleep in class and keeps talking about shows, her boyfriend, and is constantly cooing over her other teammates, Jaune and Pyrrha, by fussing over them. But she also thinks Ruby is a very sweet girl who is always happy to help others. I mean, Ruby keeps on bringing cookies to class and shares them under the desk with everyone. 

But that opinion quickly changes after the Fall of Beacon ...

Salem doesn’t really try to change Ruby and Oscar’s views, despite them being so young. She thinks they’ve fallen off the edge and the Oz Collective has radicalised them to the point of no return. But then there’s the Babey Overlords Chibi AU which I like to call the Babey Jail AU which is like--

Basically, the Babey Jail AU is that Ruby and Oscar got defeated at the final battle cuz they got too tired n sleepy and fell asleep, snuggling each other in their pillow fort/castle and Salem was like “They’re too precious we have to save them” and Cinder said “No, they’re crazy and need to go down” but Salem is the adult so Ruby and Oscar were placed in a Babey Jail in a suddenly rebuilt Beacon. The AU follows Salem mothering both Oscar and Ruby into reformation ... futilely ...

I’d love to have Cinder’s concept here but I am tired and busy so I’ll reblog this post with cinder’s art eventually ... maybe ...

I have a MAJOR soft spot for reverse AUs and dark versions of heroes, so kudos on the Babey Overlords setting! The designs are gorgeous! By the way, how would Ruby and Cinder's confrontations go in that 'verse?

To answer your question about Cinder and Ruby’s confrontations, let’s just say that they’re quite ...  

... explosive.

Ruby’s nicknames for OscarRuby’s nicknames tend to be very sweet and very baby-ish. She’s free from embarrassment when she calls Oscar by his nicknames because she means it and loves on him so much. Her nicknames include:

Ozpin kind of meets Ruby one time in person here. But it didn’t last very long and Ozpin got died afterwards. He’s more familiar with Ruby through Oscar because the babeys are working to take over the world but Ozpin ultimately sees Ruby as a tool, endearing as she is. Ozpin keeps bothering Oscar to “dispose” of Ruby once they’re done using her. But, you know, Oscar isn’t gonna let that happen. Ever. He’s madly in wuv with his waifu. In fact, Oscar eats the Oz Collective in a spiritual sense to protect Ruby and to stop Ozpin from tormenting.

Ruby wouldn’t want to change sides. She’s very committed to giving the world a Happily Ever After and to Oscar, himself. Doing such a thing would destroy her from the inside because of how much of herself is committed to her goals and Oscar. And if she did ...

Oscar would be heartbroken. And angry. And frustrated. Not only would leaving Oscar ruin Ruby, it’d ruin Oscar as well because he loves her, and this was their dream and she’s turning her back on all of this??? He’d be mad enough that he’d want to kill her, and common sense would fly right out of the window because of how deeply Ruby hurt him. Which would be an advantage for Salem because the boy isn’t thinking straight. 

That type of scenario wouldn’t end well for the both of them (it was never going to end well for them in this AU but this is worse) and Ruby would probably destroy herself along with Oscar if it ever came to betraying him to find some measure of twisted peace. 

How would the world look like if ruby and oscar got their way in babey overlords au? Would the world face a tyranny rulers? What would Cinder and the main team be?

Oddly peaceful. 

Oscar’s been working on a virus that can control the world’s population (put them under mind control) as insurance to achieve a global Happily Ever After, meanwhile Ruby’s been working to obtain the maiden powers and relics to make sure there’s no strong opposition against them. 

It’s half successful. 

Cinder and a few other survivors are free from the control of Happily Ever After virus. Cinder can burn away the virus thanks to Salem’s magic and since Salem herself is the source of maiden powers in this AU she can cure it and is naturally immune. Cinder is trying to gather as much survivors as she can into a secure location (I’m thinking maybe Mount Glenn) as Salem and a few others adept in biology and aura-ology come up with a cure to free the masses from Ruby and Oscar’s control. Cinder’s lost a lot of comrades to the virus but she still has Merc, Watts, Neo, Roman, Hazel and a scant few others. There’s even a few that sided with Ruby and Oscar that are on their side now (e.g. Ren) bc, well, the King and Queen of the new world are insane. 

People under the Happy Virus’ control are smiling constantly with a manic look in their eyes. They move in a routine of their daily lives, while not feeling anything but an empty happiness. No pain, no boredom, no stress, no actual happiness. And the people affected by this virus are all under Ruby and Oscar’s control. The people they’ve let be free from the virus are few (mainly the people of their court like Weiss and Yang. With this odd calm, is just a lot of boredom for the ppl on their side. Ruby and Oscar are absolutely content, in fact, they’re even planning a wedding. But everybody else is just so bored of nothing happening that they hope Cinder does something bat-sugar-honey-iced-tea insane just so they can do something. 

GOOD KUSH! I love how lovey dovey they’re being towards each other despite how unsettling they look. It nearly drowns out the evilness in them.

I really wanted to sketch the Babey Overlords from @ezroar ‘s AU. It’s always fun to read their ideas for this AU, they’re so evil but so precious.

Fun fact, this is actually the first image of the babey overlords i made months bacc for the Rosegarden Zine. This is a pre-order bonus but I am now allowed to release this to the public. 

How would Ruby and Oscar's wedding look like in babey overlords au?

Sorry about the wait! I was busy with art and irl stuff but I am here now, faithful anon!

Ruby and Oscar’s wedding would be very them. But, to be honest, probably has a scrapbook full of wedding ideas for the two, right down to the doilies. But Ruby and Oscar have enough control to pick out what they want. In the lead-up to the wedding, the two are just so full and it’s hard to separate the two. The two would be young though, getting married, just barely adults but they’ve made the promise to be together forever so why the hell not. 

The thing they’d have the most trouble with would be where to have the wedding, whether if it’s at the castle or in Patch or in the ruins of Beacon to taunt Salem or on Oscar’s old farm. In the end, they choose to have the wedding where they first met, looking over the cliff, celebrating both life and death with it being the place where Summer died but the place of their marital vows. 

They’d have an altar with a canopy made out stick, bone and pine trees. It’d be a small gathering, with the few conscious allies there (e.g. Pyrrha, Jaune, Yang) and family. Pictures of Summer and Oscar’s parent would be placed on chairs on the front row. The day isn’t perfect, with dark clouds cast overhead setting the occasion in a slightly sinister light, but Ruby and Oscar couldn’t care less. Candle light would line the walk up to the altar and the wedding dinner table. 

Ruby would wear a dress of red and white, being her bouquet are blue flowers, while Oscar dons his usual black and green. 

The thing is ... Taiyang doesn’t walk Ruby down the aisle. He’ll sit in the pew, but the man is so tired he doesn’t have it in him to even walk his little girl down the aisle. It make Yang incredibly frustrated with her ‘weak’ father. Yang takes his place, and in her mind, she deserves to because in reality she’s the one who’s been more of a parent rather than some husk. Oscar tears up at the sight of Ruby walking down the aisle, because has there been a woman more beautiful???

Oscar’s vows are long. The boy f r e a k e d  o u t writing them, not knowing what to say so he said everything. E v e r y t h i n g. Everybody, except Ruby, wanted it to end at the ten minute mark. Ruby was moved to tears and had to have a minute to compose herself. Ruby’s vows are short and sweet, meaning every word, which is a relief for the guests because they couldn’t sit through another 30 minute long speech again. 

But I can’t get the idea that somebody tries to betray Ruby and Oscar during this occasion, either Pyrrha and Jaune or Weiss or somebody in their group of allies, and blood spills on the altar, a body laying dead at their feet, before they move on, grinning brightly. 

The wedding reception is an intimate experience with Ruby and Oscar slow-dancing to the same Mistrali song his parents danced to at their wedding, on a patch of grass in the early night, their figures illuminated by the glowing candlelight. 

Yang is bawling through her Best Woman speech, in absolute tears, and threatens Oscar with bodily harm if he ever hurts Ruby. Meanwhile, Sun’s speech is bright and well-meaning, wishing nothing but the best for the two. 

The two would have their honeymoon in the ruins of Vale, walking amongst the affected and doing whatever they want. It didn’t matter if the streets sounded a little quiet or their subjects were nothing more than mindless puppets. 

It’s their happily ever ever. 

How will Qrow's reaction be too meeting ruby in babey overlords au?

His niece had changed considerably since he last her. Well, that was to be expected since the last time he saw her, she was still a child. And now his niece stood before, in his tent at the bandit camp, comfortably on a pillow, smilling happily as she munched on sorry excuses of ‘snacks’. She looked like a princess; dressed in a fine, frills underneath her skirt and lining her chest, lacy gloves and a bright red cloak resting, folded by her side. She even had retainers flanking her side, sitting behind her.

Ruby ... looked like her mother. The same pale skin, the same upturned nose, the same heart-shaped chin, the same black to red hair gradient.

It was almost like looking at a ghost. 

Almost.

Because the rose sitting in her right eye destroyed any illusion of looking at Summer. It served as a reminder to Qrow that this was no little child who clung to her mother’s hood. This was now a dangerous girl, who consorted with dark magic, who had grimm as allies, and wanted nothing more than everybody to bow down to her and her prince. 

Ruby chimed happily and turned to the athletic girl behind her who had long red hair tied up in a ponytail. “Want some?”

Ruby then turned to the other retainer, a meek blonde boy who shook his head before he said anything. Ruby faced away from the both of them, pouting. 

Qrow would ask why was she here. But he already knew the answer. She wanted the Relic of Knowledge. And, with a sideways glance to Vernal, sitting by his side, the Spring Maiden ...

“I didn’t know you had a daughter, Uncle Qrow,” Ruby said, looking straight at Vernal unblinkingly. “She’s very beautiful.”

“She’s not my daughter,” Qrow replied, gruffness seeping into his tone, but he didn’t care for it. “Vernal’s my second-in-command.”

“A bandit princess!” Ruby chimed, before her remaining eyelid hooded over her silver eye, “and the Spring Maiden.”

“What about it, pipsqueak?”

“Weellllll, I was planning to kill her and obtain the power of the Spring Maiden--” 

Qrow’s hand went instinctively to Harbinger, sheathed at his back. There was a threatening flutter of a breeze in the tent, making the wind chimes sound rapidly and books fall off their cases. If Qrow were to look, no doubt Vernal’s eyes would have that flare of mint and cherry blossom-coloured flames. 

 Ruby held a pacifying hand, “buuuutttt plans change. Vernal’s family now. I’m not heartless, you know.”

The three men dead outside Qrow’s camp begged to differ with that point. 

“So,” Ruby said, folding her hands in her lap and smiling even brighter, “I suggest a partnership. After all ... You want Auntie Raven dead, don’t you?”

What's Zwei like in the Babey overlords AU?

A good boi. But working for the bad guys. 

Zwei takes a departure from canon, slightly. He’s really Ruby and Oscar’s dog. He has the ability to transport the bad guys around Remnant, which they don’t have to deal with having a travel arc when they have to get somewhere. They’re a limit to his abilities, being only able to travel to set up points in Remnant (like safehouses, landmarks, and such) or to people he has a connection with (so far this is Ruby, Oscar, Yang, Auntie Em and Zwei) Zwei is charge of transporting the babeys’ court around the world and delivering messages when scrolls and seer grimm don’t suffice. For his brave and admirable work, he is paid in hugs, snugs, treats and headpats. And also fetch.

(I’m half-tempted to give Zwei the ability to travel between dimensions so he can travel to the RWBY canon dimension)

Zwei, despite his small size, is the alpha to all grimm. All grimm. They all need to listen to Big Bro Zwei or else they gonna get chewed out for being disobedient. 

Zwei looks the same as he does in canon, but he has red eyes. He spends most of his time on Oscar’s lap or playing around with the other grimm (like Wilbur and Bumblebee)  if he not’s working for his masters. 

Babey Overlords!Blake Belladonna

Here’s the design of Blake who takes the place of Adam. I’m gonna disregard the second concept bc the colours clash too much. I found it more symbolic that Blake would rid herself of the Belladonna’s purple and turn to red like in the first concept to fit in with the vision of a more violent White Fang. The white adds level of heroism but quickly turns delusional with black and red added in. While her White Fang siblings bear the masks covering their eyes, Blake adorns a mask covering her lower face to show she Speaks No Evil as she rouses crowds and masses to turn hostile against human oppressors.

Emercury Week kicks off early where I am, so I am beginning Emercury Week in style with the Babey Overlords AU of Emerald and Mercury. In every world, no matter where they are, they are always partners.

How would ruby and oscar be treated by the other members in babey overlords au?

Sorry it took me so long to get to your ask. Moving on ... For now, the main court of Ruby and Oscar will be considered Glynda, Sun, Yang, Blake, Weiss, and the retainers, Jaune and Pyrrha. And then there’s Taiyang and Auntie Em who live on the Farm, tending to grimm. 

Glynda:

Glynda is a carry-over from the host before Oscar, Ozpin. She is mainly the advisor, who lives on the castle with Ruby and Oscar and encourages their acts of evil and violence. She treats the two quite formally, never over-stepping her bounds. The new dynamic with the overlords threw her off-balance for a while as well, suddenly her lord was a prince, with a princess he planned to rule the world with, and they were so young???? Merely children when she met them. But she’s grown proud of the growth in not only her overlords have shown over the years, but all the young souls that have crossed through the darkened halls of the Dark Domain. She guides them respectfully and is a valuable asset in plotting and scheming, and is fully willing to die for them. 

Yang:

Ruby is easily explained. Thanks to all adult figures clocking out when she was young, Yang has grown not only protective of Ruby, but possessive. She didn’t appreciate Oscar, thinking she’d take all the only person that stayed with her.  But she can roll with the newfound bat-shit craziness and hyper-violence of her new situation. Only the strong survived, and she and Ruby (along with her new beau) would be the strongest of all, crushing any and all opposition by ripping off their heads from their shoulders. She learned to eventually let Oscar in, accepting him as her psuedo-brother-in-law. Still, Yang would never forgive him if he ever hurt Ruby. She acts rather sisterly/motherly to Ruby while acting like a brash devil-may-care cowgirl to Oscar. 

Sun:

Sun is a wild card. He’s in it for the murder. And the evil. And his cool new friends. He thinks Ruby and Oscar are bees knees.  Well, good as you can get when you have their bodies lying at your feet and your gun chucks wet with their blood. Sun treats Ruby and Oscar like best friends, inviting them to play Smash Bros, happy to spar with them, sneaking food under the desk during Glynda’s lessons, and brings the heads of their enemies as souvenirs for his out-of-castle missions. 

Blake:

Doesn’t like them. But she has to work with them because oh shit they’re dangerous. She treats Oscar n Ruby and the rest of their court as “Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer”. She always holds the interest of faunus to the forefront first and foremost and then going along with whatever insane plan Ruby and Oscar have second. She teeters on the edge of civility into hostility. She’s passive aggressive and begrudgingly obedient. 

Weiss:

Same as Blake. But instead of caring for faunus brethen, it’s the SDC she cares for. While Weiss treats Ruby and Oscar more frigidly and makes jabs at their aesthetics and interior decorating. 

Jaune:

Jaune is down for a little mayhem and chaos but  Ruby and Oscar are ... extreme. But he has to go along with it for his family. If Jaune curries enough good favour, he and his family might be allowed to survive whatever apocalypse or hell or ‘happily ever after’ they have planned for Remnant. He acts friendly enough to the lords. He’s horrified in truth by Ruby and Oscar but he’ll swallow the bile in his throat and smile if it means survival. 

Pyrrha:

Pyrrha isn’t Oscar’s biggest fan. He scares her. But Ruby? Ruby is a completely different story. Ruby is her light, her sun, her angel. If it weren’t for her Pyrrha would still be in the arena, fighting for grimm and others for the pleasures of vain viewers that saw her as entertainment. But then Ruby pulled her out of that darkness and gave Pyrrha a home so warm and loving she cried. It is a debt that Pyrrha can never repay but she finds herself struggling to pay it back, as the horror of what Ruby and Oscar really are settle in ...

Auntie Em:

Auntie Em is horrified by both Ruby and Oscar. These two young children capable of such evil ... And she can’t leave or oppose them on fear for her life ... So she stays, tending to the grimm that suddenly bedgrudingly obey her thanks to Oscar’s authority, tending to the gardens and farm. But the weight of their crimes bear so heavily on her mind, she doesn’t think she can cross into the afterlife in shame of having to tell his parents the monster their son had become. Auntie Em doesn’t talk much to the kids and keeps a wall in between them, cutting off all love and familiarity.

Taiyang:

He just ...

It’s just ...

It’s ...

Tired ... So Tired ... And it’s too much ... Summer, he’s sorry, he’s so sorry, he can’t do it ... He can’t tell their girls to stop. They don’t listen to him anymore. And so many things bear down on his mind, you can’t blame him if he just retreats into his head ... keeping their girls and everybody at a distance ...

Can you write the meeting between canon rosegarden and babey overlords au?

“You had freckles?!?!?!?!?!” 

Oscar yelped as the Other Ruby surged at him, climbing onto his lap on the couch where he sat. Soft hands cupped his face, guiding his face up to peer at an excited face, a rose fully bloomed where on an eye should be and a single orb of silver intensely fixed on him. 

The Other Ruby turned, looking to the Other Oscar some feet away where he was standing before Ruby. The two were slightly older than their counterparts, leaving the Other Oscar to stand a few inches taller than Ruby. 

The Other Oscar had been leaning forwards to Ruby, holding her hand delicately and placing a chaste kiss on her knuckles. Ruby was too flustered at the brazen display to affection to do anything, stuttering and stammering while her cheeks were aflame. 

“I supposed you would have found freckles much cuter than what I have,” the Other Oscar said mournfully, but the air of amusement around made Oscar think his grief was somewhat false. The veins under his eyes, black and spidery, like Salem’s, were too hard not to notice. His hair was white, still floofing out, but he wear a black and green leather suit, with an excessive amount of belts (to which Oscar suspected he was wearing a shirt made of belts), and seemed to be pulling the shadows towards him. Ozpin roused inside him, on edge and agitated at the sight of the Other Oscar. Oscar could feel his fingertips crackle with magic coming in from Ozpin’s influx of emotions and took a deep breath to cool the simmering hostility. 

“What?! No!” The Other Ruby jumped off Oscar, hurling towards his Other in flurry of rose petals. When her figure was visible again, she was clinging to Oscar like a demented koala, legs wrapped around his waist and arms looped behind his neck. “You’re so cute! The absolutest cutest! I wouldn’t choose anyone else to rule the world with, Cookie!”

“Awww, Ruberry ...” 

The Other Ruby and Other Oscar kissed, mouths fitting together perfectly ... and kept kissing. Soon the longue room was filled with little moans and the wet sound of lips connecting. 

Ruby connected eyes with Oscar and then the two looked away quickly, too embarrassed to face the other. Oscar thought he could carry on with his school boy crush in secret but apparently his and Ruby’s eviler counterparts were so smitten with each other, they could barely the overwhelming affection they had.

“Ummm ...” Ruby called out hesitantly. “Could you not?”

“What?” The Other Oscar said, before a devious smirk graced his lips. “Do you want a kiss as well?”

Ruby panicked. “I!!! Ahh! Um! No! Yes! Wait!” 

“I can share,” the Other Ruby chirped.

Ruby had been robbed of the ability to speak after that, rendered to a hot blushing mess as the two Overlords teased her. 

Oscar sighed, leaning forwards, resting his hands on his thighs and his head on his hands. 

Oscar, Ozpin asked, holding back his clear agitation. What. happened?
