yes this is actually a major plot point in the back half of homestuck
and it's fucking BAD
homestuck is an uncomfortably accurate depiction of what it's like to be a teenager
namely: it sucks so bad and you do so much cringeworthy shit because your emotions are insane and your self control is nonexistent
