*So excited to share with y'all, very Toji heavy first chapter but remember this is a love triangle

Toji has never been more miserable before. The man should be happy, he should be thrilled for his best friend, but heâs not. Heâs never been the biggest fan of engagement parties, but this is just another level of discomfort. Spoiled brat Satoru Gojo always gets what he wants, and what irks Toji the most is that what Satoru gets is never something the average man can come close to achieve.Â
Satoru has the perfect job, great looks, charisma, talent, money, and the one that pisses off Toji the most, the perfect woman. Satoruâs girlfriendâ Well, now fiancĂ©e, is the woman of every manâs dreams. At least the woman of Tojiâs dreams.Â
Toji has never felt jealousy like this. Tojiâs unlucky, he knows so, and heâs felt jealousy hundreds of times before, but never like this. Heâs green with envy because he should be the one to hold your hand and parade you around as his fiancĂ©e, not Satoru. Satoru already has everything a man wishes for, couldnât he have left you alone?
Satoru is just too greedy, he has to take everything for himself, and Toji slowly begins to resent him. Toji clenches his jaw, watching a very proud Satoru gloat about you and about the perfect proposal that he made last month. He makes sure to emphasize just how expensive it all was but without actually mentioning any prices.
âToji.â You call out his name, breaking him from his thread of endless thoughts. Heâs startled when he sees you, rightfully so. You sprung on him out of nowhere, not that he minds. You chuckle before asking, âWhy are you here all by yourself?â
âJust needed a moment alone.â He answers, and you smile at him. He smiles back at you, trying to mask his unhappiness and frustration. He looks at you over again, looking as beautiful as ever tonight. He swears you canât get more beautiful, but you prove him wrong each and every time. Heâs mad that he canât tell you that youâre the most beautiful woman that heâs ever seen; a simple âyou look goodâ or âthat dress looks nice on youâ isn't cutting it, but itâs the most he can say without sounding weird.
âYou know, Iâm mad at you.â You proceed to tell him with a laugh, and he raises his brows. He knows you canât be too serious since youâre laughing, so he chuckles as well.
âAnd why is that? What did I do this time?â He asks, and you hold up your left hand, one that is adorned by a beautiful diamond ring. Toji nearly rolls his eyes, and he knows immediately what youâre about to say.Â
âWhy didnât you congratulate me on my engagement?â You both say in unison, however, he puts on a mocking high pitched voice, attempting to mimic you. Heâs amused by the frown that comes into your face. You cross your arms, dramatically turning to leave him, but his hand goes to your arm.Â
âI thought congratulating Satoru was enough.â He claims, but he knows that isnât the right response because you roll your eyes. âOh câmonââ
âI thought we were friends.â You point out, and Toji chuckles. He hopes that you arenât all that upset, you should know that he isnât all that great with congratulating peopleâ Especially about something that he isnât all that excited about. âI thought of having you as a bridesmaids but it seems you donât care about me all that much.â
âMy bad. Congrats on your engagement.â He says, and you scoff. Toji can drag this on for the rest of the night so youâll stay by his side. He sees the eyes that are searching for you, waiting to congratulate you and talk about your future plans. But your back is to them, your attention fully on him.
âCongrats? If you were anyone else Iâd say youâre mad about this.â You claim, and Toji nods in response. Heâs being serious, heâs never been more serious in his life before but he knows that you wonât take him seriously.
âTotally.â And he sounds sarcastic. Thereâs no reason for you to doubt him, Satoru and him are like brothers. Granted, Toji is a much older brother.Â
The conversation shifts, and you get carried away. You seem to forget itâs your own party, people are looking for you but youâre joking around with Toji, talking about the latest romcom youâve watched. Heâs never laughed so hard before, but he swears you bring something out of him.
âThereâs a sequel coming out, we should watch it together.â You suggest, and he nods in response. He would be a fool to pass up on the opportunity to spend time with you. And he wonât lie and say that he hates the movie that youâre talking about, because he also watched it and he found himself entertained.
Youâre so engrossed with him that youâre shocked when you feel a pair of arms wrap around your waist. Your hand goes over your heart, your heartbeat going what feels like a thousand miles a minute. You glance back at your fiancĂ©, who has a smirk on his lips.Â
âI was looking for you.â Satoru says, and Toji tries not to roll his eyes. He feels as if Satoru does it to show off. The bastard knows just how lucky he is, and Toji hates it.
âSorry, babe.â You apologize, and Toji wants to chime in and tell you that you donât have to apologize for that. Why should you? You were just talking to him, no harm in that. âBut you were busy too. Too busy showing off, that you forgot about me!â
âIâm sorry, babe.â Satoru kisses your cheek, making Tojiâs jaw clench. His chin rests on your shoulder before he finally acknowledges Toji, âHow are you doing, man?â
âBored.â Toji doesnât really bother thinking of another response. Satoru is taking you away for sure, and Toji has nothing else to do there. âIâm leaving.â
âAw, no! Stay a little longer.â You protest, and a subtle smile comes onto his lips. Itâs nice to know that heâs wanted around by you. Itâs tempting to stay a little longer, but he knows he canât stay by your side. Satoru hums in agreement, of course he does, why wouldnât he want his best friend around? Toji thinks about it, but you tell him something that makes his decision. âI want to set you up with my friend.â
âIââ Toji is a bit taken back by your words. Right⊠Why wouldnât you want to set him up with a friend? He clears his throat before telling you, âI have to pick up Megumi. Iâll see you two soon, congratulations.â
Before you can argue with him more, he brushes past you and makes his way out of the house. Youâre left to gather your thoughts before looking back at your fiancĂ©. Itâs almost as if he can read your thoughts, and he laughs. âYou know he isnât a big people person.â
âHeâs acting weird.â You claim, but you wonât tell him more. You grab his hand, and lead Satoru elsewhere, going to talk to other people that are dying for your attention. After all, you are the ones being celebrated tonight.
âMy mom wants to talk to you.â Satoru brings up, and you let out a sigh. You adore the woman, but ever since the topic of marriage came up, sheâs been trying to plan her ideal wedding and pushing the ideas on you. Lately thatâs all she can talk about, so itâs fair to say you arenât in a talkative mood.Â
âHow aboutâŠâ You begin, and Satoru furrows his brows. Itâs clear that youâre avoiding his mother, and he knows why. But how rude would it be to just run away like that? Especially since youâre hosting the engagement party in her home.
âCâmon, weâll keep it brief.â He takes the lead, dragging you to where he last saw his mother. She isnât there though, and you take it as your gift from the universe. Youâre fighting back a smile as you look at him.
âWhere is she?â You ask him, and Satoru briefly searches for his mom, but doesnât care enough to walk around and ask where she is. He shrugs and a smirk comes to your lips before you bring your lips up to his ear, âDo you want to sneak away?â
âYouâve read my mind.â Satoru doesnât have another reason to stay, and being around so many people has him overwhelmed. Sneaking away is the best idea that youâve had so far tonight. Youâre giggling like children while you run out of the house and into the empty quiet backyard.
âWhy did you invite so many people?â You ask Satoru as you run to the sofa thatâs on the patio. You sit down next to each other, although Satoru would argue that youâre almost sitting on him with how close you areâ Not that he minds. Youâve done worse.
âWhat do you mean? Theyâre all people that you want at the wedding, if anything blame yourself.â He points out, causing you to glare at him. He realizes his mistake, and hopes that a peck on the lips will make you forget. âBut youâre right, thereâs too many people here.â
You rest your head on his shoulder, your hand going to his chest. Your eyes glimmer as you stare at the diamond that youâve been dying to get for the past few years. It feels surreal that youâre one step closer to your goal.Â
âIt fit perfectly.â Satoru comments, grabbing your hand and staring at the ring. He chuckles before confessing, âI was worried it wouldnât fit.â
âGood thing that you know me better than anyone.â You respond, as Satoru lets go of your hand. Your hand goes back to your side, as his arm wraps around you.
âYou know, no matter how much I get to know you, I still feel like I donât.â He shares, making you perk up your brows.Â
âWell, I donât think thereâs anyone here that knows me better.â You answer, and Satoru bites down his lip. Heâs not going to argue with you even when he feels otherwise. Youâve spent the past five years with each other, and Satoruâs mind goes blank when heâs asked about your favorite color.Â
You look up at him, watching how he stares off into the distance. You kiss him, causing a smile to come to his lips. His lips meet yours again, but instead of pulling away quickly, they remain on yours. He kisses you multiple times, he does it until you put your fingers over his lips to stop him. You know itâs a matter of a couple more kisses before Satoru loses control.
âDo you think theyâre looking for us?â You ask him, and he looks back at the house. They most definitely are. But it doesnât matter. Heâs out here with you, and thatâs all he wants.Â
Youâre all he needs.
âWe should go back in soon.â Satoru says, and you hum in response. However, you donât make a single move.
âGive me a minute. I like it better here with you and only you.â

âYouâre back!â You exclaim when your eyes land on Toji again. Everyone is leaving, but Toji makes a sudden reappearance back in the party. His eyes light up when he knows that you cheer up as you see him.Â
âYour boyfriend called me to come back. It was, and I quote, an emergency.â Toji does air quotes with his fingers as he walks over to you. You tilt your head to the side, curious as to why Satoru called him back here.
Realization sets in, a smile coming to your face, which confuses Toji even more. You grab his hand, leading him to where Satoru is. You correct him on the way there, âSatoru is now my fiancĂ©. Get it right, Toji.â
âMy bad.â He canât help but roll his eyes since youâre not looking at him. Right, your fiancĂ©. That bastard sure is lucky. You can call him out a million times for it, but heâll still refer to Satoru as your boyfriend.Â
âThere he is!â Satoru points out, stopping his conversation with one of his friends to redirect his attention to the star of the night. Thatâs what Toji feels like at least, especially after getting a message just as he was getting home. âSorry about texting you to come back again, I just had something to ask and it couldnât be over text.â
âWhat is it?â Toji sounds irritated, which he is. Whatâs so important that he had to drop Megumi off with the neighbor? Toji would rather be anywhere but here. Heâs never really cared about the fact that youâre together, even when he has clear feelings for you. Toji has always felt that you and him act more like a couple than you and Satoruâ but tonight, heâs reminded that youâre not together.Â
Youâre engaged to Satoru.Â
âI had a question for you⊠And I didnât want it to be over text.â Satoru says, and Toji cocks his brow. How important can this question really be when Satoru completely forgot to bring it up earlier. Toji doesnât care to ask what it is, he waits for Satoru to ask the important question. Satoru has a cocky expression on his face, at least thatâs how Toji views it. âArenât you going to ask?â
âYouâre the one that has a question, Iâm listening.â Toji barely hides his annoyance, but Satoru thinks itâs because Toji was asked to come back, which is only part of it. Toji crosses his arms, waiting patiently for Satoru to speak.
âI was talking with Suguru back and forth about it. In the end, we both agreed that you were the perfect best man.â Satoru shares, and it takes Toji back. Satoru might be Tojiâs best friend, but Suguru is Satoruâs best friend. He imagined he would be asked to be a groomsman, but not the best man. It makes Toji furrow his brows, and ask,Â
âThe perfect best man? Why?â Which isnât the answer nor reaction that Satoru was expecting. Satoru doesnât know what he was expecting, truthfully. Toji is a very emotionless person, he obviously isnât going to weep in joy at the proposal, but Satoru expects some sort of reaction that is not this.
âHuh?â Satoru canât help but reply. You watch the interaction, wondering the same thing as Satoru. Satoruâs friend leaves, not wanting to be caught up in the middle of anything. He trusts Satoru wonât do anything rash, but not Toji. No one in the place really trusts Toji for whatever reason.
âYou have other options, and Iâm not even your closest friend.â Toji answers, and Satoru laughs. Toji isnât wrong. Satoru just finds it amusing that Toji doesnât immediately figure out why heâs asking though.
âDonât you remember, Toji?â You tilt your head to the side as you look at the man⊠Well, he obviously doesnât. Toji looks puzzled, should he know? You look at your fiancĂ© and frantically shake your head, doing a cutthroat gesture at him. Satoru has a mischievous smirk on his face, and you watch him lick his lips. Heâs going to let it slip.
âWell, the night that we met, you were the one that introduced us becauseââ Satoru begins, and you feel your face warm up. You canât let Satoru finish the statement because you swear youâll die of embarrassment. Toji clearly doesnât remember, and he doesnât need a reminder.
âDonât you dare!â You cut him off, but itâs too late because a lightbulb turns on above Tojiâs head and he remembers the details. He bites his tongue, and mentally curses himself out because he completely forgot thatâ He probably forgot about it because he regrets that decision so much.
âI remember.â Toji ends up saying which makes you want to crawl in a hole and die. Toji sheepishly smiles before saying, âI guess, I have no other option now.â
âYou donât.â Satoru takes it as a joke, at least thatâs what it seems when he lets out a laugh.Â
âOkay, now hug!â You tell them as if they were dolls, and both men roll their eyes. Itâs not the first time you say this, in fact, you tend to do it a lot. But they always listen, and they lean in for an awkward hug.
âI swear she always wants to see us touching.â Satoru murmurs as he pats Tojiâs back.
âJust make her happy, man. Prepare for marriage.â Toji responds, patting Satoruâs back as well. They let go and youâre almost jumping in excitement. Toji directs his attention towards you and asks, âNow why are you so happy?â
âI can set you up with the maid of honor! Oh you two would make the perfect couple.â You exclaim, grabbing his hand and dragging him away. Itâs what youâve been doing all night.Â
âOh câmon, I donât want to.â He says, but he still moves his feet. âI donât trust your judgment when it comes to setting me up with someone.â
âI know that you two will get along.â You claim as you lead him to your friend. She must be somewhere, but you canât spot her. You bicker back and forth as you keep dragging him along. You finally come to a stop after five minutes, your hand still holding on to his wrist. âI guess she left.â
âGood.â Toji answers, getting your gentle hand off his arm. He doesnât want anyone to get the wrong idea. The place slowly becomes empty, and the few people there are just staring at the two of you. He didnât care earlier but now itâs easier to spot you. Toji clears his throat, âGo back to Gojo.â
âIâm mad at him.â You respond, and he wonders why you say it.Â
âWhat did he do now?â Toji questions, saying so in a very amusing tone.
âHe reminded you how we met, itâs so embarrassing to think about now.â You reply and Toji bites his tongue. You arenât wrong, heâs thinking of how wrong he was.
âWithout me, you wouldnât have met the love of your life.â He comments, and he canât believe the words are leaving his lips. He just doesnât want you to feel self conscious about it.Â
âI guess you arenât wrong.â You say, grabbing his arm again so you can drag him back to Satoru. Heâs the one that you canât find this time around though, and you look everywhere in the house but he isnât there. You end up in the backyard again, and even though he isnât there, you stay outside.
âWhere the fuck did he go? Did he leave without me?â You ask as you take a seat on the same sofa from earlier. Toji chuckles, walking behind you to take a seat near you.
âHe wouldnât. Heâs probably in the bathroom.â Toji replies, before you sit in silence. Heâs watching you as youâre looking up at the night sky, and Toji wants to look in the same direction, but he finds you more interesting to look at. Satoru really is so fucking lucky.Â
He thinks of what to say. Conversation flowed so easily earlier, but right now his mind is filled with regret. He thinks of what to ask before looking up at the sky as well. It really isnât all that interesting, he doesnât know why you keep staring at it.
He points up at a celestial body in the sky, unsure of what it is, âIs that a planet or a star?â
âUmâŠâ Youâre looking, trying to see what he points at. You have to scoot closer to get his perspective. Your head is hovering over his shoulder until you finally see what he looks at. âI think a planet, Iâm not sure.â
âWhatâs the difference between them?â Toji asks, and you look up at him. Youâre so close, and you donât seem to notice; anyone that could walk by would get the wrong idea.
âLike⊠Whatâs the difference between planets and stars in general? Or from our perspective?â You respond, and he gives you an unamused look.
âDo you think Iâm a dumbass?â He canât help but answer, and you burst into laughter. Your laugh is infectious, making him chuckle as well. A sudden sadness comes over him, realizing that heâll never get the chance to have you by his sideâ Not in the way he wants at least. But itâs okay, heâs happy watching you from afar.
âIâm sorry.â You wipe away a tear that escapes your eye. When the laughter subsides, you end up saying, âActually I donât know. âToru is the one that likes astronomy.â
âThen why did you look?â He ends up saying, and you shrug.
âJust wanted to see if I could figure it out on my own.â You say. You realize how close you are to him, making you move away. Your face gets warm again as a question pops into your mind. Itâs extremely inappropriate to ask, so you wonât let it slip.
Youâre zoning out, staring off into the distance, which is easy for Toji to notice since his eyes are on you. He asks, âIs everything okay? You seem thoughtful.â
âIf you werenât married at the time, would you have still rejected me?â The words slip out of your mouth, and they make Tojiâs eyes widen. He didnât expect that question from you. âItâs nothing like that! Iâm just curious because I do get kind of awkward when I remember it.â
âI mean, does it matter now?â Is the best answer Toji can come up with because he wonât risk the friendship he has with Satoru by answering truthfully, but he doesnât want to lie to you either. Toji adjusts his posture before saying, âThink about it this way. If I hadnât rejected you, you wouldnât have ended up with Satoru. Instead, we wouldâve had a messy affair, our relationship would be a fucking mess, you wouldâve been stepmom to a stinky kid, and we probably would be unhappy.â
âYou have to stop calling Megumi stinky! Heâs so cute.â Youâre quick to defend the child, and Toji laughs. âYouâre right. Sorry for asking, it just hurts my ego.â
Toji doesnât want to keep talking about it in case he says something heâll regret. He waits a moment before mentioning, âWe flushed his fish down the toilet yesterday.â
âOh youâre awful, why are you smiling about it?â You call him out, not wanting to laugh as well. âIsnât this the second time this happens?â
âMy bad, Iâll get better at reading labels and not feeding the fish powder cleaner.â Is his way to apologize, but he shouldnât say it to you, but instead to Megumi. Itâs not like he knows anyway. No harm, no foul.
âWhy did you put those two together anyway?â You ask as you stand up, heading back inside. Toji does the same, not wanting to be left alone.
âMy place is a mess.â Toji answers, which isnât shocking.
âTell me about it.â You respond, and Toji is about to make a snarky remark back, but you spot Satoru immediately when youâre back inside, and thatâs where your direction goes. You yell out his name, and run to him with open arms.Â
Thereâs almost a pout on Tojiâs face when you hug and kiss Satoru ever so lovingly. He shouldnât feel upset, so he tries not to. He looks away, reminding himself that youâre engaged to his very own best friend.
In the end, heâs wishing the best for the two of you, hoping that nothing bad happens during your engagement. He wouldnât want you two to split, as selfish as he is.

Satoru Gojo
Summary: Satoru struggles with his two babies.
Warnings: Pure Fluff

*I used the two babies from baby steps for this, but you don't have to read to enjoy the fluffy oneshotđ„č

âCâmon, Seiji. Vegetables are so good. yummy.â Satoru is trying to bribe his almost-two-year-old into eating the rest of his food, alas, he doesnât sound too convincing. He tasted the vegetables, they arenât too good but you cooked them so he isnât going to bash them. Seiji really doesnât care about not hurting anybodyâs feelings at this stage of his life, so even though his dearest mother made them, he refuses to eat them.
Satoru sighs defeatedly, putting the fork down. He guesses Seiji doesnât have to eat vegetables every day to grow strong. He picks Seiji up from the high chair, putting him down on the ground to allow him to walk around and do whatever he likes to do. Lately Seiji loves to play with any piece of trash he finds, making Satoru realize that heâs wasted thousands of dollars on toys.
âDonât be too loud! Donât wake your sister up.â Satoru yells, knowing that Seiji really doesnât care about that. The baby only has one thought in his mind and thatâs to play with whatever he gets his hands on.Â
Satoru really thought that handling two babies under two would be a breeze, heâs the strongest, he can accomplish just about anything⊠But his two kids tire him out. Saori cries so much that he anticipates in horror the moment that she wakes up. Seiji never stops moving, itâs nearly impossible to get him to stand still for a moment. He loves his babies more than anything, but heâs rightfully tired.
Satoru is being the best husband that he can be by taking care of his babies while you study and finish up your degree. But two tiny humans are slowly ending his life. Satoru follows Seiji around, deciding to just let him wander around the house because Seiji hates to be put in his playpen lately.
âDada.â Seiji points up when he gets to the stairs, looking back at his father. Satoru shakes his head, picking up Seiji and taking him back to the living room so he can find something there that he can engross himself with. Seiji makes sure to let out a dramatic cry because he hates being carried and contradicted. He doesnât want to go to the living room, he wants to go upstairs.
âCrying isnât going to do anything, baby. Youâre staying down here.â Satoru says as he carries Seiji away. Seiji makes sure to yell,
âDown! Down!â Which actually works on Satoru today because he doesnât want Seiji to wake up the sleeping baby. When his tiny feet hit the ground, Seiji begins to run around which isnât really an issue for Satoru since he only has to take two steps to catch up to Seiji.
Itâs boring, really, but he prefers walking after his toddler better than trying to entertain both babies while theyâre awake. Seiji doesnât care for his parents' attention until Saori is awake; when sheâs awake he wants to become the center of attention.
Satoru really thinks heâs safe, until he hears her cries from upstairs, and the loudest sigh leaves his lips. He picks Seiji up, making him kick his feet and cry, demanding that heâs put down. Luckily for him, his father listens to his wishes and puts him down. Unluckily for him, heâs put down in the playpen that lately feels like a prison.Â
âNo! Out!â Seiji demands, but Satoru doesnât listen. He leaves Seiji there while he goes upstairs to pick up Saori from her crib.
When he gets there, he notices his baby girl is sitting up, waiting for him to finally pick her up. He coos, approaching the crib and picking her up, âHi my sunshine. Did you sleep well?â
She doesnât stop crying so easily though. He changes her diaper, and the crying gets worse. He tickles her tummy, laughing to himself, âArenât you a hungry girl? You ate one hour ago too.â
He guesses he canât blame her, a bottle of milk wouldnât be enough to hold him over either⊠But he guesses heâs four times her size and two decades older than her. He exits the room, getting more irritated by the second with the crying baby thatâs in his arms.Â
He begins to walk down the stairs, and thatâs when he sees a little rascal holding to the railing and trying to walk upstairs. His eyes widen, his first thought being: how the hell did Seiji escape his playpen? Seiji finally looks up, seeing his father at the top of the stairs. He lets go of the railing, his hands going over his tiny mouth, his signature move for when he gets caught.
Satoru watches it happen in slow motion. Seijiâs tiny feet on the edge of the stair, he tips over and falls back from the stairs until heâs back on the first floor again. At least Seiji was only on the third stair up so it wasnât a long fallâ However, he cries his heart out as if he was at the very top.
âSeiji, how the hell did you even get out of the playpen?â Satoru is reasonably angry because he has two crying kids to soothe on his own. He doesnât want to bother you while you study so itâs his problem, and only his. He doesnât know which problem to tend to first.Â
Satoru just knows one thing, and he hates thinking about it, but he wouldnât be dealing with any of this if he had used a condom.
