I think the reason everyone loved ugly sonic on chip n dale is because it isn't exactly sonic, he's got his own thing.

See, i think everyone was disgusted a ugly sonic's design for the movie because it wasn't only ugly but unfitting for Sonic, the attempt at making him "realistic" clearly wasn't fitting for the cartoonish/anime-ish Sonic we know.

However it works with the direction they took Ugly Sonic here, he's like a cool middle aged man or Sonic's uncle. Plus he isn't trying to be Sonic, one of his lines is literally something along the lines of "Going fast? Oh no, that's Sonic's thing. Ugly Sonic goes slow."

He's still uncomfortable to lookk at but that's part of the joke.

Basically: yeah he's ugly but he's got his own thing now and it's pretty cool

So, i was washing the dishes and my mind suddenly reminded me of that one lesson i took in elementary school.

I don’t remember it quite but—

In every lesson there will always has to have an example to let the lesson sink in for the students,However. In this lesson we had an example that went last this:

A teacher told his students to take a bunny, hide, and kill it. So the students did what the teacher said, all except one kid. And when the teacher asked him why he didn’t do as he told him, the kid simply answered with ‘ god is always watching over him so he couldn’t do it’.

Which is true -to my religion- ..but that’s not my point.

My point is..

Who the fuck read this example and thought “ yeah this would work for LITERAL CHILDREN in elementary school”
