His grandma always said "The world is hard on us dreamers". And as Izuku watches the number one hero, his hero, bound off into the distance, disapproving words still ringing in his head, he can almost hear her say "That's why you need to build your spine out of steel. Don't let them entinguish your flames". "Okay grandma" Izuku promised, echoing his response from so long ago, "I won't let them stomp me out".

Bnha/Mha Fusion AU

Okay, so I recently found the fusion artworks for bnha (or mha) and I love the idea. However, I got this new headcannon about for Izuku. So in my headcannon, for the fusion to be stable, it has to be 50/50, right? And the 50/50 is the physical aspect and the mental aspect.

Since Izuku is nice (fuses really easily) Bakugo practiced fusing with him a lot. Since their personalities are basically opposites, they were really unstable though. And Bakugo would get really mad when they unfused. So Izuku learned how to split differently. (90% physical and 10% mental) to stay stable and let Bakugo take the reins. (He mentally hides so Bakugo can't verbally bully him in his head) And since he fused with Bakugo the most, even after getting into UA with AFO and taking Fusion Classes, it remains this way.

So the majority of his fusions are basically someone else in (mostly) his body using their quirk. Aizawa is confused/worried. Izuku thinks he's doing great because fusions are always meant to be stable and his fusions are always stable! (he also does this kinda as a mental safety feature because they share thoughts and he doesn want them listening to his muttering or depressing thoughts)

Aizawa is all like "kid that isn't how fusions are supposed to work. It's supposed to be 50/50"

Izuku: "It is 50/50, though, see?"

Aizawa: *knows Izuku is technically correct, but is inherently wrong* "50/50 on both mental and physical aspects"

Izuku: "But then I like it better this way"

Aizawa: "kid..."

(When working with his friends, it ends up increasing more towards 20-25%)

And since the Sports Festival, let's say Shinsou joins "for practice" So imagine Aizawa's surprise when Shinsou and Izuku merge, and they end up a good 35-65% physical aspect (Izuku obviously being more) and instead of getting more positivity as Aizawa expected, they get more determination, better quirk use and somehow more dark jokes and sarcasm. And then afterwards Shinsou just stares at Izuku before they are assigned to move. (Because Izuku mutters some helpers and lets Shinsou hear him because he knows how it is to be in Shinsou's place and wants to help/inspire)

And then Shinsou skips practice with Aizawa the same day (Aizawa is totally not concerned/upset... not at all...) (During which, Shinsou is like "how do you understand me? You're just another person with a flashy quirk whose been told all their life that they'd be a great hero!" And Izuku is like "My quirk came in during the Sports Festival" and Shinsou is like "oh." and then Izuku gives him more pointers on his quirk, lets him practice on him, and hugs him when Shinsou just stares at him, shocked that he didn't get scared away) And then when Izuku and Shinsou do it again, it is 50/50 and Aizawa is impressed... and then concerned again. Because even though it is 50/50 the personality is still double sarcasm and dark jokes and determination. Although now they smile a bit more and help others. And now Aizawa is wondering how much of the cinnamon roll is actually positivity and not a mask. And also why the heck they are still scared of teachers or mistrust other students.

ShinDeku:

•Still sarcasm and dark jokes

•more determined

•smarter quirk use for Shinsou

•good tactics

•likes helping others

•has nice smiles like Izuku, just harder to get

•excellent poker face/acting skills

•almost godlike reflexes

•more confident, (Izuku building up Shinsou) but still insecure (More Shinsou, some Izuku)

•Less likely to take words to heart than Shinsou

Quirks: Brainwashing and AFO (enhances Brainwashing too by upping victims pain threshold to snap out of quirk)

Extra Ability: Charisma

When used, can effectively inspire audiences, as well as cause people to trust them, and make people 25-50% more likely to answer.

(I feel like Im required to make a fanart now, so ta da?) (I couldn't figure out the hair so it's stripes now I guess)

Random Quirk Headcanons

Eraser is a mental quirk (stolen) believes quirk is gone and believes you can’t access it, not that it actually is gone. (Also implies that Shinsou’s brainwashing could probably get around it) Explains headaches and lowkey insomnia, both of which are mental quirk side effects.!

Midoriya wasn’t burned from Bakugo’s explosions because of either a: he got some fire resistant properties from his father, or b: he found burn cream with regeneration quirk properties Explains: no scars from Bakugo without using makeup

All For One’s quirk is touch based, and does this thing where it goes into the genes and copies the Quirk Gene, but in doing so destroys it. this is added to his chromosomes, which have been built to have a set number of quirk factors. (which is why sometimes he switches good quirks for bad ones, or makes so many Nomus) However doing so to a Quirkless Kid does nothing except cause pain because the quirk is searching through DNA for something that doesn’t exist. Giving a quirk to a quirkless kid causes brain deformation because their brains aren’t adapted to a quirk, and the quirk gene spot is occupied. Explains: how AFO works

OFA adds a similar structure that AFO has and so it must freely be given or AFO won’t be able to grab it as his quirk can only effect where the quirk gene should be, not the structure that pulled the person’s quirk into and amplified and added other quirks to.

Bakugo has lower blood pressure but instead of getting medicine or anything (“I’m not weak!”) instead looks for fights for the adrenalin. also suffers recoil on shoulders from bigger blasts.

Kaminari gets his electricity from neurons and dumb mode is because he has the neuron equivalent of fuses, so him going over his limit blows one of those, which shuts down his ability to move his body, or everything except his emergency functions. It is quirk exhaustion, but if he tries to keep using his quirk, after that, it may start to damage fine motor skills/ability to feel pain and stuff. He also generates electricity, which makes him think faster, and move faster/better reflexes if he trained for it. Also why he needs move/shows symptoms of ADHD.

Kirishima: his skin cells are flooded chitin as opposed to Testutestus iron.

Okay I saw this on a fic where theres a group of Quirkless people but they banded together and they call themselves Baselines because Quirkless is a slur. Anyway, idk what the fic was called (it only had like two chapts) but it got me thinking

(And also the fic called Present Your Past, Heart White-Laced (Prove That You’re More Than A Sum Of Your Parts) by Otakku6337)

Anyway, so what if because Quirkless people do not have Quirks, they follow Lamark’s Evolution theory more (because people have a state where their body adjusts to their quirk and it’s affects/prepares for the quirk and its effects (like Ochako‘s fingerpads and her being better with nausea and force than most) which is why late quirks are more powerful (the body needed more time to prepare) (unless they just didnt have the right thing their quirk used (like if you eat pineapple to turn different colors, but having never eaten pineapple before) I’m getting off track.

Consider that if their body does not need to adjust to a quirk (which would also take up brain space because to the brain a quirk basically a giant new muscle) they would spend time adjusting to the environment. Their junk DNA (more than a normal person who has a quirk) and the adaptability part of the DNA which would be slowly replaced/awakened with/into functions and adaptations specific for a quirk would instead be used to create small mutations that help them survive their environment. Getting repeatedly burned? Skin adapts to become more flame resistant. Breaks bones repeatedly? Instead of just the break becoming more resistant, the entire skeletal structure starts becoming more force resistant. Gets bruises often? Blood vessels become stronger. Just like when you work out your muscles break down then are built up stronger but with more cells.

Consider the absolute chaos that would happen if LoV, at any time in the plotline, decide to become LUV or LoUV, League of Underfed Vigilantes. Like they just collectively decide being a villain doesn't pay well enough, so they become Vigilantes who pickpocket the thugs in the streets after stepping in. And then they also take commissions to do stupidest things that are illegal, like egging houses, glitterbombing people, vandilizing/spray painting messages, moving all the furniture an inch to the left, or replacing the mayonnaise with shampoo and vice versa. That type of thing. (Escapades where ColdSoba1 uses his dad's credit card to buy lots of pranks on Endeavor. Cue Dabi being really happy to have excuses to do pranks on him). Himiko being sent to pretend to be someone just to stir up trouble. (Can I have someone pretend to be me from the future, so they slap me after I take someone's hand and tell them that if our romance if not to be, my future self will come and slap me in the face?) Or (I want you to pretend to be my twin because I made a bluff and I can't back out now) Sometimes, they even have Kurogiri do transportation. (Please, if I don't get there in two minutes, I'll be fired!)

Random Thought:

Regarding Genderbent Sanji, I refuse to believe that she wouldn't still flirt with all the women.

Aka, Genderbent Sanji is a Lesbian
