Summary: Gale had a habit of loving too intensely.

He had learned it was easier to bottle it up and let the emotions pass than admit them. And normally that would have been fine. It would become a temporary impediment to eventually get over —the affections would dwindle, and he would replace the object of his affection with something else.

Yet now, alongside the Netherese orb nestled in his chest and the mindflayer tadpole that wriggled behind his eye, the potent sussur flower had rooted itself in his lungs because of this love. And like his other afflictions, it was another problem that couldn't be solved with magic.

I played a durge drow - fiend warlock though at the end I respecced into 2 fiend warlock/8 sorc/2 fighter. 😊 Tbh I was the weak wet noodle of the group because I missed out on the best warlock robes that a certain tiefling drops, but I was more of a support role after I succeeded the zaithsk so I would bonus action the stronger tadpole stuff in act 3.

Minthara was 5 gloomstalker ranger/4 thief rogue/3 champion fighter and was built around critting on 15/16s. Also 2 bonus actions is great for duel wielding or casting hunters mark, etc!

Gale was full life cleric domain and was the dedicated healer/run around with spirit guardians guy

Lae'zel was full battlemaster and utilized trip attack + maneuvering attack a lot. There is so much gith-specific gear and misty step racial is great too!!

Tbh it was such a fun playthrough!! There were some debatable moments (ahem Orin) but I would do it again to try some of the optional bosses that I skipped haha
