The Separatist plan being only to take Palaptine was not something the Jedi knew. For all they knew they were going to try and either take over the planet or wreck it. Which seeing as they are an invading force attacking the capital is an entirely reasonable things to assume.

Quite frankly Maul is not a major priority when compared to it. He’s not going anywhere and Mandalore is technically a neutral world so legally sending forces onto it is a politically dicy situation already. It makes far more sense to send your experienced troops and fleet to defend the capital and capture Dooku(also a Sith Lord since you seem to think the Jedis only focus should be dealing with them) then attacking a neutral world to capture someone who is currently a minor threat.

They could deal with Maul later. Protecting the people of Coruscant was the important thing.

I'm rewatching the siege of Mandalore, and WOW Bo-Katan is insufferable, and Ahsoka's reaction to Coruscant being attacked makes me want to shake my girl until she gets over the bitchiness she caught from her ladyship Mandalorian Redhead Hypocrite Extraordinaire and starts acting like a rational person who is aware that a TRILLION people in immediate danger might be a bigger issue than the Mandos who've been at their bullshit for months and whose stalemate won't even change until the Republic actually shows up to Sundari.
