Reassurance to age regressors with trauma:

You are not a burden to your friends, your partner, your caregiver, or anyone else when you regress. If anyone in your circle has a problem with it, that's THEIR problem, not yours.

Your regression is not 'dirty' or 'gross' or any other word like that. You are free to cry, and scream and fuss during your regression if you need to. Regression is not always happy, but that's okay. You do what you need to cope.

Once you regress, there's no rush to go back up in age, or be an adult. You can be regressed for weeks or months, however long you need is fine.

No one is going to take away your toys or comfort items. They're right there with you, and that's where they'll stay, I promise.

It's okay to talk to your caregiver about boundaries your regressed self has. Boundaries count during regression as much as they do when you are big. Example: My little doesn't like timeouts, they make her upset so when she gets fussy, I ask her to "draw papa why you're frustrated instead." And then she explains it to me.

It's alright to have a loud outburst while you're regressed. Sometimes, it may be scary to do that if it's always been met with negativity, but it shouldn't have ever been that way.

It's okay to ask your caregiver to hold you, or tell them you need attention, or a hug. If they can't at the moment, that doesn't mean they don't love you though. Still, any caregiver will understand if you tell them that.

No one secretly hates you. I promise you, no one secretly hates you, or your regression.

He doesn't get a lot of recognition for how mature and sweet he actually is, so caring for you makes him feel great.

Obviously, lots of video games.

He likes to play games like Minecraft, Slime Rancher, Animal Crossing, ect with you.

He has a very expansive collection of games and consoles, and it feels like he knows exactly what you'll want to play when you're small.

If you don't want to play, he'll put on the TV and cuddle with you. He likes to watch videos on YouTube relating to video games and collecting.

He's autistic, his special interest is video game collecting.

Will talk to you for hours about your favourite game.

If you just want to sleep, he'll wrap you up and lay you on his lap while he plays.

Very overprotective of you.

Like, won't even let you make your own drink when you're regressed.

He loves buying you things too. If he finds a bottle or pacifier online that he likes, he'll buy it for you.

He's autistic so his room is a sensory dream. His blankets are just soft enough to not be overwhelming, his room is always dark, with soft LEDs or lava lamps, lots of random fidget toys.

Ben is a big fan of visual stims, and has one of those big bubble tubes with the fake fish in.

He's not amazing at cooking, but he does his best for you.

Lets you wear his clothes.

Gentle kisses, very soft.

Please let him brush your hair or dress you, he likes looking after you.

He's very apprehensive around water, but you're helping him. At first, it started with him watching over you while you sit in the bath.

Then, he'll get closer. He'll dip his hand into the warm water, messing with the bubbles.

After a while, he'll start washing your hair or playing with the little toys in the bath. After a long, long time, he'll be able to sit in the bath with you.

Drinks a lot of Monster Energy.

Along with retro video games, he also likes retro toys. It's like he's holding onto that bit of his childhood, as his body doesn't age past his mid twenties.

He collects Furbies and pokemon figures.

He constantly smells faintly of the ocean, and whatever cheap body spray he'd found.

Being a ghost, his body is prone to sometimes glitching out of existence.

He loves cuddling you because his body is constantly cold. Living creatures are so nice and warm.

After seeing an ask on one of my favorite blogs, @age-regressor-culture-is, I thought it might be fun to set up a Valentine's day like many of us used to when we were little!

The idea is that everyone sends cute valentines in the form of gifs, pictures, cute messages or coloring pages to one another through a blog's asks!

Valentines can be sent from February 13th to February 16th so that there's enough time for everyone to get some and send some!!

I'll keep track of a list of blogs that want to receive valentines on another post so you can all see. Just reach out and I'll add your blog to the list! Otherwise, reblog this post or put the hashtag #agerevalentine somewhere on your blog so your followers know they can send you valentines!
