@bucksboobs I believe it made it to Athena's 'checklist' of examples of Scott hitting all the boxes on being a textbook abuser. Because much like the obvious case of the show being told through the lens of the unreliable narrator and it was really about Derek and Stiles all along, with Scott being the Anakin character destined to fall to darkness, it was a given that he was canonically twisting the truth in this scene, as was his wont. There was never any possibility that these words could be taken at face value and Isaac, indeed, was on watch last.

Will anything ever be more frustrating than the shallow, misogynistic way Jennifer is portrayed in fic as a mad power hungry witch? Had Jennifer been a man, fandom would've loved him, even if his relationship with Derek was platonic. Julien Blake would be paired with Derek, Stiles and Peter

There is a debate in the fandom about whether Jennifer mesmerized Derek into liking her the way she seemed able to mesmerize Noah in The Girl Who Knew Too Much.  It’s not an unreasonable supposition, because we knew she was using druidic magic to change her appearance.  This is not where the misogyny appears.    

Julia Baccari was a victim. Not only was she attacked and nearly killed, but she was attacked and nearly killed by someone she trusted and by someone who, at least, professed to love her.  We get only a glimpse of the relationship between Kali and Julia before Kali tried to murder her, but the emotions are real.  

She deserved revenge, right?   Just as Derek deserved revenge against the person who murdered his sister and Peter deserved his revenge against the person who burned him and his family alive.   (The production said no, they don’t, but this is about the fandom.)

You see, fandom likes to go on and on about how Peter was out of his mind when he killed Laura, even though the production said he wasn’t out of his mind, that it was a calculated move to get the alpha power.   And even if it was, he needed to be that ruthless to take on the Argents.  

You see, fandom likes to go on and on about how Peter was out of his mind when he bit Scott in the woods and then tried to mind control him into become his personal child soldier.   You see, the fandom likes to pretend he didn’t murder his nurse when she grew inconvenient (like Jennifer killed Harris when he became inconvenient) or kill the innocent janitor.   The other five people he killed deserved it.  

You see, fandom likes to go on and on about how Peter was just trying to survive when he savaged Lydia and possessed her, manipulating her from beyond the grave in a distinctly sexual manner.

Everything that Jennifer did to stop the Alpha Pack was no worse than anything that Peter Hale did to stop the Argents.   Jennifer did kill a few more innocent people, but that’s only because people failed to stop her.  If Peter had had his way, his innocent victim count would have been increased by at least four, since he wanted to murder Stiles, Lydia, Jackson and Allison during Night School.  

What’s the difference between Peter using his alpha command to try to make Scott kill people and Jennifer using wolf’s bane to get werewolves to kill themselves in Motel California?

What’s the difference between Peter using his Young!Peter hallucination to flirt and make out with Lydia to get her to resurrect him and Jennifer seducing Derek to get a guardian she could use against Deucalion?

Not much.

But fandom only creates stories where Stiles defends Peter saying “if they did that to my family I’d kill them all too” and pretend that Peter didn’t’ involve any innocents in his killing spree.  

Sassy Uncle Peter is presented as a flawed but ultimately justified anti-hero living in shades of gray, but Jennifer is an irredeemable she-beast from Hell.  But you know and I know it’s not about the people she killed.  It’s about who she dared to kiss.  

If Ian Bohen was playing Alan Deaton, I’m sure his “shadyness” would all of sudden be sexy! Just say you don’t like that this black man wasn’t written as a prop for the white characters in this show.

I still can't believe how Theo and Isaac never met. Those two would be best friends in a heartbeat like bffs for life, ride or die. Jeff really robbed us from so many things 😭
