Help me out if you can friend, how would villains of your choice (any number, but please include Honest John!) react to finding someone to trick/swindle, but they're suddenly struck with cupid's arrow upon seeing them? 👀

How villains would react to being smitten with their victims~~

Honest John~!

We all know he tends to pick the innocent, oblivious targets

He likely saw you and almost immediately went ‘Wow! A new sweetheart to exploit!’

But upon actually talking to you, no doubt hamming up the courteousness and charisma, he’d start to realise that perhaps you’re a little... too sweet.

The more he speaks, the more he listens to you, the more he begins to realise he couldn’t bring himself to hurt a fly on your head

“The world is gonna eat this poor thing alive... but it’s not gonna be by my hands.”

He’s swindled the poor, the rich, the elderly, and literal children, why was he so hesitant to scam you!?

The realisation would hit him like a train, and all at once, he won’t leave you alone!

“What am I doing? Well, I’m your... agent, yes! And an agent has to keep an eye on their talent!”

Like hell he’s gonna let some other ruffian lay their hands on you. You now have your own personal bodyguard.

This suave bitch knows exactly how to spot somebody with time and money to spend

But as grey as his moral compass is, I just KNOW he’s a softie somewhere deep down

He tends to prey on naivety, but god, you’re far too darling to be hanging around somebody like him, and he knows it almost instantly

He’ll still take you down, give you a reading of some description, but he can’t bring himself to tell you anything bad

You’ll likely leave with a good fortune at a heavily discounted price, and a polite kiss on the back of the hand to top it all off

He’s flirtatious, sure, but isn’t gonna make a move on his own

The last thing he’d want is to involve you with his ‘friends’

In a way, avoiding you is his way of showing he cares <3
