Some origins to this mind nugget I patched together Peter and his lost boys disturb some of the wild chickens on Neverland,, perhaps to use their eggs to prank ol' Hook. The upset chickens witness the conflict between the man and boy, and in the hens eyes, Hook's attire looks like a large (if not a bit strange) rooster come to avenge their stolen eggs. Making Pan their enemy and Hook their "savior" It put an image in my head of chickens setting up roost on the Jolly Roger, much to the Captains displeasure, Mr Smee notes "at least they wont have to travel far to find fresh eggs"

I can see something like this happening in Jake & the Neverland pirates style setting
