Sweet Pea

I actually have two Sweet Pea patients this month, which caused a bit of email confusion when I would search for their people to send photos to!  They weren’t in the hospital together, in fact one is en route and one is already home, and they are very different creatures, but talking about two patients with the same name that isn’t Teddy, Bear or Doggy is not a common occurence!

Anyway, the first Sweet Pea who is now home is a Del Monte Yumkins Sweet Pea.  He had an unfortunate run-in with a family pet.  He’d also had many many years of hugs, so his fur was faded, but that was ok.  The big issues were his missing feet, leaf, and stem, damaged eyes, and fur holes.  Here he is on arrival:

A donor had been ordered, so his new parts would be the original brightness.  In the meantime, he had a little bubble bath:

You can see, he was already starting to clean up.

Then, he had a heart made.  I thought it was sweet that his original stuffing was green like him.

And finally, he had eye, limb, leaf and stem transplants and was ready to fly home!

Sweet Pea, aka Sweetie Pea, Pea, Mr. Pea… flew home and his person wrote:
