Summary: Bradley visits you in Boston. A winter attack surprises you both, so you decide to build a snowman together

A/N: todayâs prompt: Building a Snowman

The first day of winter was a paradise, with snowflakes the size of feathers falling from a grey cloud. From your porch to the road and beyond, it quickly turned into a completely white desert. Bradley started clearing a path that day, cheerfully holding a snow shovel in his hand. Unfortunately, a few days later his newly formed road had been banked up above hip level, and the infantile thrill of excitement that had accompanied those first flakes had been replaced with a calm resolve and a sense of responsibility appropriate for adults. "Baby! I'll have to shovel!" As he was putting on his jacket downstairs, he spoke louder to make sure you could hear him in the restroom on the floor. Bradly started regretting traveling to Boston to spend Christmas with you for the first time in a while.
"Wait!" You yelled loudly, then ran down the stairs. Looking at him with joy, you grabbed your jacket and said, "I can help."
"No, you stay home, it's cold outside."
"It's winter, so the cold is to be expected," you commented, pulling on your shoes before tying them up firmly.
"I said something, Y/N, so don't fuck with me."
Crossing your arms over your chest, you pouted, "You got bossy recently. My assistance will not be provided to you, don't worry."
"So why are you going out with me?"
"For some fresh air," you shrugged, wrapping your thick scarf around your neck tightly. "I love smells and atmosphere of Christmas... But it's too much for me."
"You've always been the one who has been obstinate in our relationship," Rooster grumbled while rolling his eyes. Being the gentleman he was, he opened the door and moved aside to allow you to enter the outside area first. âAfter you.â
As you walked through the door, you bowed slightly, thanking him. As soon as you saw all the snow around you, you instantly jumped with excitement.
Bradley watched you with his eyebrow slightly lifted. "Y/N, you behave like a puppy seeing snow for the first time."
You smiled at him and went your own way. "I almost feel like it!"Â
"What are you doing?!'
Jumping into the snow with a loud giggle, you yelled, "I'm being the playful one!" Soon, you flopped into the fluffy snow to make a snow angel.
Bradley watched your lighthearted actions, but he quickly turned his attention to shoveling your driveway.
"Sweetie! Could you help me get up right now!" You asked, waving your hands in the air as you were unable to get up on your own.
"Am I resembling a crane? I don't believe so," Bradley responded with a sneer, yet he walked over to you and quickly raised you up with one strong pull.
With an eyeroll, you grabbed his jacket collar. "Why are you so grumpy today, Bradley? What's up with you?"
"I understand why you're so excited about all the snow, but you don't even try to help me with shoveling, even though you are well aware of how much time I lost doing it the last time."
"Baby? I just offered you help, and you told me not to fuck with you when you say no," you replied. "If I were you, I wouldn't do it. There's a chance it'll snow tonight. Let's build a snowman instead!"
Bradly put the shovel down after giving your proposition some thought. "Then let's do it then."
After squeaking joyfully and kissing his cheek, you moved away to find a perfect place for the snowman. Once you found the perfect spot, you created a snowball and started rolling it around, creating a base.
Bradley imitated your actions by first creating a tiny snowball, placing it on the snow, and then beginning to roll it about while observing how the snowball doubled its size.
As you watched him, you giggled, "My ball will be a base! I already know how we'll dress him up!"
"Do I need to be afraid? He posed the query while rolling the ball around, making it bigger and bigger.
"There's no need to be afraid. You'll love it, I think," you shrugged, continuing to work on the base until it met your standards. Then you helped him with the middle ball.
Bradly placed the center ball on the base with a bit of your assistance, then made another snowball to roll it through snow in the attempt to form the head for the snowman.
It wasn't long before the ready head was placed on top of the snowman. With pure excitement you run home, saying, "Okay! Now wait... I'm going to grab the stuff!"
Bradley, waiting for you to return, started shoveling the driveway at least a little bit.
Looking at him from the porch, you yelled, "I'm hiding the shovel from you!" You walked up to the snowman. "Leave it now, Bradley."
Bradley sighed and set the shovel down before coming up to you. "What exactly do we have here?"
"Just stuff," you summed it up before you began working.
The snowman was first given aviator sunglasses, a smug smile with a toothpick, and then a pilot-like jacket was wrapped around the snowy figure.
As soon as you were finished, you looked proudly at the final result, then glared at Bradley. "The snowman looks familiar, right? Who is he?" You chuckled softly.
The snowman now looked just like Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, and Rooster was unable to contain his laughter. "Have you seen my phone? I must snap a picture and send it to him."
"I grabbed it while I was at home," you smiled, pulling his phone out of your pocket but not giving it to him. "As a result of your stubbornness today, you have to pay for it."
"I need to pay? For my phone? Is this enough?" He asked, leaning forward to kiss your cheek.
A hum escaped your lips. "It's not enough."
Bradly kissed your lips after that remark.
"I think that's enough, sir," you giggled as you handed him his phone. "Quickly! I want to see his reaction."
Bradly first snapped a picture of the snowman by itself, and then he posed with you next to it. He hid the phone in his jacket pocket after sending images to Maverick.
"Do you think he will like me still? Or should I never show up near him again?" You asked with a raised eyebrow.
Bradley gently reprimanded, "You know well enough you're his favorite pupil and even if you'd kick his ass, he'd forgive you instantly. Of course, he'll claim that I made you build this snowman. He has no idea, though, that we should have added a massive dick to the top of the snowman's head if we had really meant to create him."
"No, no. Our snowman would get a massive dick if we try to build our beloved Hangman," you joked.
"Oh. My. God. Yes. I'll admit it -Â you're fucking right," Bradley readily agreed with what you said, and after giving it some thought, he raised an eyebrow at you. "Are you having the same thought? Let's build a snowman resembling Hangman, let's add a dick on top. I'll be happy to send him a pic," he said and a mischievous grin spread across his lips.
As you rubbed your hands together, you were already giggling uncontrollably. "We have to do this! To work!"

Lights Above Our Heads || Alex Hogh Andersen x fem!reader

Summary: A charming spectacle awaits you when Alex takes you on a tour of the mountains
Warnings: none :)
Word count: 1289
Authors: Fenrir & Cass
A/N: todayâs prompt: Watching the Northern Lights

It had been one of the coldest winters in a long time. A cold winter like this would freeze the blood of anyone who didn't take sufficient care to stay warm at heart and core. However, despite the coldness engulfing the world, Alex decided to take a little trip with you, his beloved girlfriend.Â
As Alex crossed another snowdrift while wearing a thick, red, 66°North jacket, thick, black pants and boots reaching slightly above his ankles, and a black hat pulled over his head, he glanced over his shoulder to see if you followed him. "Is everything okay there, Y/N? We're close!"
Angrily waving your hand at him, you nodded, saying, "It's fine! I'm just questioning my life choices here!"
As Alex made his way back to you through the snow, he offered you his gloved hand as he improved the camera case on his shoulder. He made sure you were walking after his traces in the snow, saying, "Come on, I'll help you."
Sighing deeply, you squeezed his hand and vowed to never let him drag you on another adventure again.
As the two of you walked up an icy, snow-covered hill, he reminded you firmly, "With all due respect, hun, you've always wanted it yourself. I want to see the northern lights, that's what you've been repeating like a fucking mantra."
You bit back a little sarcastically, "With all due respect, hun, I don't want any more trips if it means freezing my ass off in a mountain of snow!"
"You don't have to be a drama queen. It's not that bad," Alex commented, squeezing your hand a few times. You haven't been far north, trust me, it can be much worse."Â
After walking in silence for a bit, Alex made a brief stop near a fallen fir tree, all covered in snow. "What a beautiful scenery, isn't it, darling? Can you pose for me?"
As you walked up to him, rubbing your hands together, you murmured, "It's going to cost you, love."
"It will cost me, okay, but what?" He teased back.
"A kiss," you smiled, tapping your cheek.
Alex didn't need to be told twice - he hugged you, pulled you closer, but before kissing your cheek, he rubbed your noses together.
Before pulling away to pose for him, you laughed and grabbed his chin to kiss him properly.
While Alex was setting his camera, he instructed you what to do with your hair falling from underneath your woolen hat. As soon as he put the lens on, he took several shots, changing the parameters every time to achieve more depth from the pictures. "You make the perfect model, sweetheart."
As you winked at him, you replied, "I want to hear that when you take care of me once I get sick again."
He gave you a look with an eye roll. "Don't make a duck face, baby, we're not taking a selfie."
"Why! I look sexy with a duck face! You could take some fun pictures, so we have a souvenir of our trip."
Even though he didn't want to admit it, you were right. As Alex packed his camera back into its case, he sat down on the fallen fir tree next to you. "Thank you for taking a week off from work. It has been quite a while since we were somewhere together."
With a soft aww sound, you kissed his cheek. "The first reason is that I wouldn't let you go alone, and the second is that you asked so nicely that I couldn't refuse, plus I needed a break from my job."
Alex wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you closer, enjoying the moment and your presence while staying silent. "Is it okay to continue climbing the hill now? Have you rested?"
"A few more minutes?" You asked, nuzzling closer to him. "I just want to savor the moment a bit longer."
In the moments before he commented, Alex straightened his back after noticing something. "Babe, take a look at that!"
The aurora lights played above. In the midnight blue, the northern lights were a river of green.
Taking a moment to look up, you whispered quietly, "Wow... Is that it?"
"Yes, yes it is."
You said eagerly, "C'mon! Don't sit like a stick! Grab your camera and take some pictures! And we should take a picture together! With lights in the background, it will look so pretty hanging in our bedroom."
"Don't worry, they won't vanish anytime soon," he assured, resting his chin on your shoulder while looking up while making sure to hold you as close as possible. "Let me savor this moment a little longer."
Your smile softened, and you took his hand, moving even closer. As you nuzzled him, you whispered, "You know? I love you."
"I love you too," Alex mumbled quietly and kissed your cheek after. "Despite your sometimes bratish behavior. Even if you are easily offended by irrelevant things. No matter how moody you are."
"You like it when I am bratty. You simply love to put me in the right place."
As Alex slowly opened his camera case, he said, "Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, especially when I'm fed up with your bullshit." He asked you to hold his Canon camera while he set the tripod after making all the adjustments.
You scoffed loudly, "For sure babe, I will remember this next time." When he wasn't looking at you, you took the opportunity to gently poke his ribs.
Alex mounted his camera on the tripod and set the self-timer. After wrapping his arms around you, he pulled you closer, looking down at you for a moment before kissing you.
Once you were certain the picture was perfect, you kissed him back and pulled away to say, "I love you so much, my talented fiancĂŠ."
As Alex went to look at the outcome, he raised both thumbs up with a smirk on his face. "It's perfect! Can't wait to frame it, but let me try something else!" After turning the self-timer again, he returned to you and picked you up in bridal style; his eyes never left yours. "I love you."
Wrapping your arms around his neck, you confessed, "I love you too. I love you more than anything."
As Alex stopped paying attention to the camera, he kissed you tenderly for long enough that he had to break the kiss in order to breathe. As soon as he set you down, he adjusted the hat on your head, so you wouldn't get colder; and then he headed back to take more pictures of the northern lights. "I'm so fucking glad we came to Norway, darling."
You stared up at the sky and the beautiful lights dancing above, thinking about all the memories and plans you two had shared.
The sky shimmered with the green and yellow hues of the aurora; the silence of the spectacle added to its charm. The two of you were just staring silently into the dark as you enjoyed the silence and the stars above. In those moments, all your troubles seemed to fade away, and the world seemed to be at peace. Lights danced in front of you and stretched across the sky. Color was dancing across the sky and it almost appeared to be putting on a show, just for the two of you.
Slowly, you improved your scarf. "My happiness is the same as yours, Alex."
Alex turned his camera into recording mode and pointed it at the sky, then he returned to you. He wrapped his arm around your shoulders after sitting by your side. "I love you, Y/N."
Your hearts were set ablaze by the northern lights dancing silently above your heads.

The Art Of Hunting || Neteyam & Loâak x fem!Omaticaya reader
Summary: You are interrupted by Neteyam's younger brother during your hunting lesson.
Warnings: none, just pure fluff (and Lo'ak interfering with a hunt lessonđ)
Word count:Â 1900
Author: Rouge
A/N: prior to reading, itâs important to know that: this is my very first attempt at writing for Avatar ⤠the reader is female Omaticaya ⤠a few things are in Na'vi language (I hope they were translated correctly) ⤠some Pandoran creatures are mentioned in the fic ⤠you'll find a glossary underneath the fic

There was no doubt that Pandoran forests were one of the most beautiful, breathtaking sights on the planet. Those forests, filled with greenery and sometimes interspersed with rivers and lakes, have been home to many creatures, both small and large. Within the darkness entwined with light, harmony, so coveted, seemed alive, bonding everything together.
It was a beautiful sight to see the river in its generous curves, glinting blue amid the leafy green. As she drummed and rustled, the clear water echoed through the canopy of trees. As a result, the river invited all souls to dance, rumbling quietly and flowing with her current. A soil rich in brown hues, along with fleshy, lush green leaves, combined to create a three-dimensional wonderland that captured the attention of onlookers willing to slow down and absorb soft rays of sunlight falling through ancient branches and flowing down to the forest floor.
Upon hearing Neteyam whisper âbreatheâ in a calm tone, your ears perked up.
As slowly as possible, you turned your face towards him, watching how focused the oldest Sully brother was - his eyes opened wide and his nose twitched as he sniffed the wet scent of the forest floor. âNeteyamâŚâ Attempting to whisper, you were quickly hushed by his hand being raised up in the air and his brief glance that told you to keep silent. Hunting had been one of your most difficult struggles - you weren't much of a hunter and many Na'vi told you not to worry about getting better at it, and instead concentrate on herbology. When the last sun rays kissed the forest and heathland, and when the greens and purples morphed into gray under the eclipse, yeriks went out to forage.
As Neteyam instructed, he kept his tone low, barely moving his lips as he spoke, "Remember, Y/N, bow and arrow are mere tools. You must shoot with the heart." With the last rays of setting sun, his yellowish eyes glistened with focus.
As you nodded, remembering the last time Neteyam took you hunting - because of your careless behavior, the whole yerik flock got spooked and ran before you could strike any targets.
Neteyam stood behind you and made sure you stretched the bowstring sufficiently; soon, his left hand was placed underneath your chest, on your upper tummy; your ears perked as you instinctively drew in some air - when Neteyam was close, especially that dangerously close to you as he was then, you had trouble concentrating.
Neteyam was adept at reading unobvious signs - a little grin glinted across his lips as he kept his composure, not giving you any indication he was aware of the slight change in your behavior.
While supporting your right elbow with his other hand, the oldest Sully brother whispered, "Focus now, Y/N."
Because he had five fingers instead of four, it always made you giggle when he was actually touching you - no exceptions were made this time.
The laughter of yours only lasted for a half-second, but it caused yeriks to stop grazing and look carefully around, turning into attentive mode.
In spite of this, Neteyam did not resign from hunting wild prey. As he moved his head so close to you, only an inch or two separated his lips from your cheek, he whispered directly into your ear, "Y/N, what did I just say?"
Trying desperately to calm your heartbeat, you prayed that he wouldn't feel the heat radiating from your body. âThat I need to focus.â
"Focus then," he instructed you, his voice soft as a northern breeze, his tone nothing more than a whisper.
Another brief nod was given by you in response. Using all your strength, you stretched the bowstring as far as you could and aimed for the individual grazing grass on the sidelines. Your focus was the channeling of your spirit, of your true self within, so as you focused you could learn a few things about yourself - for instance, that you could hold your breath long enough to stretch the bowstring to the point where it started to cut into the flesh of your fingers.
âFire,â Neteyam whispered into your ear.
Your shot was interrupted by another figure approaching, making such a fuss that the entire yerik flock fled.
As Lo'ak crouched against his older brother, inspecting a clump of grass carefully, he tilted his head and looked up at Neteyam, saying, "Mother was looking for you, bro. I won't lie, she was pissed you were out after the eclipse."
Neteyam's response was straightforward, as always - he hit his younger brother's head from behind, lightly enough to not hurt him. "So you've found us, brother. What's wrong with you, though? Didn't you notice we were hunting?"
Lo'ak's shoulder shifted a bit as he spoke, "I observed you for a while, and all I saw was you flirting heavily with our Y/N."
Your cheeks began to flush as you gasped a quiet 'stopâ - turning your head aside to conceal the redness you breathed out deeply.
A snarl of anger was heard from Neteyam as he displayed his teeth at Lo'ak. "Quit it, brother. Let's head home, the last thing I need is for the father to get angry as well."
The younger brother chuckled and poked your ribs with his index finger a little. "How was the hunting? No kills this time as well, huh? Quit trying, Y/N, you're not a hunter. You won't become one because you hang out so much with Neteyam.â
Your ears perked a few times quickly as you hissed at him. "Lo'ak!"
âWhat?!â Lo'ak leapt nimbly off a rock ledge you and Neteyam were using for vantage point. âCome on, letâs move up!â
You watched the two brothers slowly walk off, smiling gently to yourself - their relationship was so emotional, but despite the fact that they fought easily, it was so beautiful to watch them interact with one another - there was no doubt that they shared a strong fraternal bond. A wooden bow was slung over your shoulder, and you picked up a quiver filled with arrows that you adorned with some leaves and features before joining Sully brothers.
In the dark of night, Lo'ak walked first, leading the way back home. He was always the first one everywhere, always so curious, never satisfied with the status quo, always seeking for something new to discover.
The long steps you took aligned you with Neteyam, who reluctantly followed his brother, holding his bow firmly in hand. As you stared at him, you engaged him in a small conversation, "You seem angry, Net."
As the three of you crossed the large field, a group of resting kentens rose into the sky. This made Neteyam and you stop to marvel at the luminous magenta and purple discs that floated to safety on the branches of an old, nearby tree.
Taking a glance over his shoulder, Neteyam checked to make sure his younger brother was far enough. Putting on his ionar once he was certain, he turned to you. "It's not that," he replied quickly, trying to dismiss the topic.
With your quiver slung over the same shoulder as your bow, you crossed your hands over your chest, giving him a significant glance, the tip of your nose twitching a tad.
âWhat?â His tail wiggled rapidly.
You touched his chest with your slender fingertips and whispered, "Neteyam, I know you long enough to be sure you harbor anger within you."
Taking a deep breath, Neteyam placed his hand on top of yours that rested on his chest, then placed his other hand on your cheek to caress the smooth surface of your skin. âThere was just one thing I hoped for. A few alone moments with you, Y/N."
As you snuggled your cheek into his warm, welcoming palm, you curled your lips into a sweet smile; your eyes never left his. "The plenty of occasion will come, oeyä yawntu," you said, wiggling your tail slowly.
The gaze of Neteyam was intense as he stared down at you. Your smile was the sun, it was the silencing of all the noises, it was both the cage and the ever-wide open door, leading to unknown places. It wasn't long before Neteyam got lost in the depth of your eyes and the warmth of your little grin. âIs your word a promise, yawntutsyĂŹp?â
A slight tilt of your head indicated a nod. âYes.â
A strong embrace encased your slim figure as Neteyam pulled you closer. After removing his ionar, he lowered his head slowly, resting his forehead gently against yours; his tail danced a bit with yours, wrapping itself around yours from time to time. "I love you, Y/N," he whispered softly.
When you slipped your palm across his chest and rested it against his heart, you replied, "Nga yawne lu oer."
After returning to check on you two, Lo'ak called out, "Guys! Are you two going to stand in the middle of the forest, like idiots, snuggling now? Seriously?â
A low growl escaped Neteyam's lips as he put his ionar back on. âThis is none of your business. Get your ass back on the ikran."
"I'm not the one whose shenanigans cause us problems, bro," Lo'ak laughed, but followed his older brother's order.
As Neteyam's ikran spotted him approaching, it roared and wiggled its wings several times, lowering its head to greet his Na'vi.
Ikran's elongated snout was stroked by Neteyam as he jumped on its back, helping you up as well. Neteyam connected his queue to the ikran, and the beast was ready to fly. "Y/N, are you alright?" Neteyam asked softly as he wrapped his arms around your tummy to keep you from falling.
"Yes," you replied shortly. "Let's head home."
Neteyam ordered ikran to take off with a nod.
Before soaring, ikran roared once more, spreading its large wings.
It was fascinating to watch Lo'ak glide smoothly with his ikran in the air. The voice of Neteyam jolted you out of your thinking. âYou know what?â
âHmmm?â You mumbled, holding tightly onto his ikranâs neck.
"The thought of being back home excites me so much."
âWhy is that? I thought you sought every opportunity to leave home to taste the adventure and beauty of the world," you questioned as you turned a little to look at him.
âThatâs true, indeed. However, the mere thought of snuggling with you to sleep melts my heart," Neteyam replied as he moved his head slightly to kiss your lips. âDon't forget, this is just between us. It is likely Lo'ak would not leave me alone if he knows.âYou knew he was right - Lo'ak was the first one to pick on his older brother, and if he only knew Neteyam had a soft side, he wouldn't give up so easily. âDonât worry, I know.â Your palm rested on his cheek as you kissed his lips once more, a little longer this time. "Oeyä Neteyam, you mean the world to me."
Love was a protector, a defender, a ride-or-die connection that was there for you always and in every way. It had raw power and could roar, but also, you would find comfort in its quietness, if needed. In the end, the real love you were sharing with Neteyam was the greatest blessing Eywa could grant you, and so you chose to cherish it.

Christmas Spirit || Hawks x fem!reader
Masterlist â

Summary: Hawks decides to motivate you to prepare your apartment for Christmas.
Warnings: none
Word count: 1351
Authors: Bear & Cass
A/N: todayâs prompt: Decorating a House

Due to his childhood memories of Christmas, Hawks enjoyed it a lot. There was a genuine love of Christmas in his heart. Due to Keigo's unhappy childhood, he chose to keep the best, most joyful memories from the family home.
When the holiday season was at its peak, he decided to visit you to see if you needed decorating assistance.
A tune played in the background while you worked on your cookies in the kitchen.
A few knocks were heard on the balcony's door. You opened it immediately with a smile.
Hawks was standing on your balcony, leaning comfortably against a wall with his left leg bent at the knee. "Finally. I've been waiting for so long, I assumed you weren't at home."
As you walked toward him to fix his jacket's collar, you rolled your eyes. "Don't be such a drama queen and get inside. I am sure you are cold from flying around."
Before entering your living room, he brushed some snow from his wings and said, "It's chilling, certainly, but I'm used to this." After he entered and took a look around, he asked, "Wait. And what is that?"
"What is what?" You asked, eyebrow cocking as you closed the door so that more cold wouldn't enter your apartment.
He held up both hands, pointing at your living room. "This. Basically, I mean this. Your decorations, where are they?"
As you returned to the kitchen, you questioned, "Ah! You mean Christmas decorations? I don't decorate much. I'll probably put a few things on tomorrow morning, and that'll be enough for me."
At you, he made a finger gesture, raising one eyebrow. "Oh no, dear, no, no. The holiday spirit is desperately needed here."
"Aren't my special cookies enough?" You teased.
Keigo gave his chin a few taps while he was looking at you. "Oh, no, they're not sufficient, I'm afraid."
As you sighed, you questioned simply, "What's the point in decorating this place when I'll have to take it all down, pack it all up, and put it away soon?"
"Because it's enjoyable! Decorating can add charm and beauty to your area and is a lot of fun. It will spread holiday cheer in this area. It is necessary."
As you turned to him, your arms crossed over your chest as you watched him talk. Everything he said didn't make the idea of hanging stuff around for you any better. "For me it's not enjoyable."
Hawks flopped on your couch and crossed his legs. "Why is that?"
Sweetie, that's a lot of work just to take it down in a few days. The fake tree and some lights will be put up tomorrow morning," you shrugged. "I will probably spend Christmas alone, so there's no need to overdo it."
Keigo once more arched a brow. "So you won't be inviting me over or paying me a visit on Christmas Day? Is this a sign that you don't want my attention anymore?"
Your eyebrows raised as you asked, "How can I invite you when you openly announced you would work a few days ago?"
He rose from the sofa and began to circle the room. "Really, how difficult is it to comprehend? I was hoping that you would ask me for a day or two of vacation so that we could have fun, but of course you never did."
As you groaned, getting frustrated with his behavior, you said, "Keigo. I didn't ask because I know it's difficult for you to get a single day off."
"You are aware of the fact that I would stop at nothing to earn a day off for you. Come on, I'll assist you with decorating the apartment."
After a deep sigh, you rubbed the bridge of your nose. "Okay. Fine. Let it be."
"Where do you have your decorations hidden?"
"They should be in the closet. I have a big box stored there."
Hawks calmly made his way from your living room to the hallway, where you had your closet, with his hands in his pockets. He opened the door and flew up a little, using his beautiful wings to get the large, cartoon box.
"You could at least remove your shoes!" You shouted at him.
"Sorry!"
Taking a deep breath, you left your current work to assist him in the living room.
After the box was brought, Keigo placed it on the carpet and then, for you to notice, he took care to take off his shoes in a theatrical manner.
After ignoring his little show, you opened the box and took some decorations out.
Keigo looked into the package and concluded, "You have some wonderful Christmas ornaments here." He took out some glitter stars and paper chains.
"You want to see something cringy?â
"Now I'm curious," Hawks rolled his head back a little as he chuckled.
You went to your bedroom and returned a few moments later only to show him the ornament that looked like a mini version of him. With a blush, You explained, "I bought it yesterday while shopping."
He grinned, "Well, well, look at that! We have some little, decent Hawks here. I won't lie, as much as I find it sweet, it's also a little creepy, not to mention the fact that they weren't able to duplicate the beauty of my face."
"It's not my fault, you have so much merch!" You grumbled. Furthermore... I found it cute. So, Mr. Christmas Spirit, what's next?"
He threw the glitter stars at you. "Start hanging those around."
With a nod, you followed his little order and started to hang the stars around your living room.
Hawks got up and placed a few paper chains on the shelves.
As you work, you start humming a quiet tune. Once you were done, you looked at him. "I am done here."
Meanwhile, Hawks was already done with chains and some small baubles.
As you looked around, you agreed, "This actually looks nice."
"Right? Can you feel the Christmas spirit now?"
Shrugging, you replied, "Not really, but I like how it looks."
Hawks came to you and booped your nose. "Don't make me ask that again?"
The nose boop made you giggle. "Oh, okay, fine. I kinda feel it!"
He stole a kiss from your lips, humming.
You booped him in the nose this time. "I'll get the tree. Just so you know, it's a fake one."
Keigo sat back on the carpet and dug further through the box.
Dragging the tree back to the living room took some time. You set it up straight and put it in its proper position with a loud groan. "Here. Did you find anything interesting in the box?"
"Just more baubles," he raised his head, and you could see two baubles hanging off his ears.
"You really like Christmas, don't you?"
"Yes... The only happy childhood recollections I have are of these times."
You kissed his cheek, removing the ornaments from his ears with a small smile. "Let's make it a good memory this year too. Let's decorate the tree together."
Keigo worked tirelessly to adorn your tree with decorations, chains, and other trinkets he discovered inside a box. Hawks placed his arm around you and got out his phone to take a picture of you with the tree in the background after it had been fully adorned.
Just to get a picture, you laughed and kissed his cheek. Then you looked over your shoulder and rubbed his shoulder. "Babe, we forgot something. Can you lift me up?" You asked with a gold star in your hand.
Hawks took you into his arms and used his wings to lift you both up to the tree's top.
With a happy sound, you placed the star on top of the tree and clapped your hands.
There was a certain charm to this whole thing, and it certainly gave you a feeling of Christmas cheer. "Now it's perfect."
Hawks kissed your cheek briefly and nuzzled your neck after landing back on the floor with you, setting you down carefully. "Merry Christmas, little doll."
Before kissing him, you said, "Merry Christmas to my hero."

A/N: todayâs prompt: Making Snow Angels

Snow danced in the sunlight, a ballet choreographed by the gentle wind. As he watched, Ubbe's eyes widened, as wide as his younger brothers' when they saw the street had turned into a new page, ready for their playful feet and mittened hands. "Y/N?" Ubbe called your name, casting a glance through a chamber warmed by the crackling fire in the fireplace.
While carrying a few logs of wood to the fireplace to ensure everyone stays warm, you gasped in surprise upon hearing your name. "Yes, Ubbe?â
"Don't you think it's lovely outside?" Ubbe chimed in.
His words were met with Ivar's snorting. "Yeah, what beautiful weather, with cold wind and tons of snow."
"It's beautiful indeed, but it's a shame that such beautiful weather is accompanied by such a coldness," you replied softly.
Ivar clapped his hands and pointed to you, exclaiming, "See what I mean? Even a thrall understands that winter is dreadful. And mother claims that all the thralls are stupid."
Hvitserk had now joined the conversation he had overheard while napping by the fireplace. "Ivar, stop being a jerk to Y/N and behave."
You waved your hand and shrugged, "I'm used to it, no worries," you said. "Hvitserk? Do you need anything?â
"No, Y/N, but thank you for asking," Hvitserk replied, closing his eyes again in an attempt to fall back asleep.
Ubbe suggested, "Can we go outside for some fresh air?"
As Sigurd entered the Great Hall, his loud voice echoed from the walls, "I'm in. The snow is so fluffy, and it's not that cold outside."
As you glanced at Ubbe and others, you smiled but still wrapped fur around Hvitserk to make sure he wouldn't get cold. "Shall I bring your furs?â
"I have mine," Sigurd said, pointing to the thick fur he wore.
"I'll get mine, though. I believe we should give Hvitserk some rest for he had a rough night," Ubbe responded with a nod of his head.
"Bring me mine, thrall," Ivar said. "Did you forget I'm a cripple?"
"Ivar!â Ubbe yelled at his younger brother, this time being out of patience with his rude behavior.
As you bowed your head, you headed to bring Ivar's fur to avoid aggravating him further.
Ubbe approached Ivar, who was sitting by the table, sipping his herbal drink, and smacked the back of the younger man's head.
"Hey! What was that for?!" Ivar looked at his older brother, an unhappy grimace on his lips.
"What did I say about treating our thralls well?"
Ivar's fur was quickly found and returned to him by you. "Would you like me to help you put it on?â
After being chastised by his older brother, Ivar gave you a look and nodded, "Yes, please." He emphasized the last word to demonstrate to Ubbe that he understood his older brother's message.
Ubbe gave you a gentle smile and asked you to assist Ivar while he and Sigurd waited outside.
By softly nodding, you helped Ivar. You put the fur around his shoulders and then ensured it wouldn't slip off by wrapping it around him. "Here you go. Now you won't get cold."
"Thank you," Ivar whispered quietly after ensuring that none of his brothers were present, so they wouldn't mock him for being so polite; it was the side of himself he tried his hardest to hide from the world.
As you walked away to take care of your other duties, you said, "You're welcome."
You were just a thrall, no matter how much you wanted to join the brothers.
Ivar inquired, out of the blue, "Maybe you want to join us?"
Your eyes widened as you stared at Ivar.
Did he really invite you to join? You? Out of all the people.
"I would love to, but I'm not sure if I can."
"Why? I'm inviting you right now. Are you going to refuse my offer?"
"N-No. I wouldn't dare," you whispered.
As Ivar carefully sat on the floor and crawled toward the door, he said, "Follow me then and stop whining."
As soon as you found the fur you owned, you wrapped it around yourself before following Ivar.
Before leaving the Great Hall, Ivar put on his gloves to protect his hands from the cold of the frozen ground.
It wasn't long before Ubbe and Sigurd were joined by you and Ivar.
Ivar scoffed as he watched his older brothers fight with snowballs.
When you looked at Ivar, you asked, "You... You think I can try too?" Sure, Ivar invited you to join them, but you weren't sure if you could play around with them - they were princes and you were nothing but a thrall.
Ivar shrugged a little. "Of course, why not?"
With a smile, you grabbed some snow, made a ball out of it, and threw it at Ubbe.
The oldest brother gasped loudly, not expecting you to join them. A huge snowball soon hit your shoulder, and then your tummy.
You laughed loudly and decided not to let them win, so you threw more snowballs at Ubbe and Sigurd.
Ivar sat on the snowy ground, watching you all interact.
Soon after, Ubbe grabbed you by the waist and lifted you into his arms, making it impossible for you to escape as he locked you in a bear hug.
Trying to escape his tight embrace, you squealed loudly, but it was no use, so you just giggled.
And that was when you were attacked from behind by Sigurd, who stuffed some snow under your fur and tunic while Ubbe held you tightly in his arms.
The cold made you whimper loudly, "No! Not fair!"
Ivar couldn't stop laughing at the situation.
Ubbe set you back down and tapped your nose, "Come on, snow is great fun!"
You shook your head, "NOT WHEN IT GETS UNDER MY CLOTHES!"
"We can always help you get rid of those clothes," Sigurd slyly remarked.
Blinking, you blushed. "Well... I don't think such a thing would help me at the moment."
"You'd get warm again," he slightly wrapped his arm around your shoulders.
Ubbe shook his head a little and pulled you out of Sigurd's embrace. "The snow's fluffy, let's try something."
As you looked up at Ubbe, you asked happily, "Like snow angels?!"
Ivar was the one who made a comment on your words, "It's clear you used to be a Christian. You even refer to shapes made in fresh snow as angels."
As you shrugged, you explained, "That's what we always called them. Because they did indeed look like angels."
"Angels. Ha! Pathetic explanation," Ivar summed up wryly; it met Ubbe's disapproval.Â
"Ivar, if you have to say all these nasty words, better shut up this time," the oldest brother claimed.
"Ubbe it's okay. I'm used to it."
As soon as you left Ubbe, you landed on the snow right where you had hopped. As you moved your arms and legs, you created a shape in the snow; once you were done, you raised your hand in triumph. "Ubbe, can you help me get up?"
Ubbe took a giant step towards you and extended his hand, assisting you in getting back up.
Grasping his hand, you let him lift you up. Obviously, you were careful not to ruin your snowy creation. "It does look like an angel."
Ubbe examined the shape and quickly agreed with you that it did resemble an angel. "Y/N is correct."
You smiled and asked, "Ivar? Would you like to give it a try?"
Ivar looked up at you with a frown. "Do I appear to move my legs in the same way you did to make this shape? No, I don't believe so."
You thought for a moment. "You can move your arms! Your angel simply won't have a dress, or I can move your legs."
In a loud scowl, Ivar said, "Don't touch my legs, I can do everything by myself." After these words, Ivar crawled to where you had made your snow angel. He sat flatly on the snow, moved his left leg left, then his right leg left, then repeated the action in the other direction. After that, he lay heavily down and only moved his left arm a few times.
"If you don't do both arms, your angel will only have one wing," You said, hiding under Ubbe's soft fur.
Ivar sat on his butt again and started to draw something on the snow. Soon, he carefully left the snow and crawled out, revealing a shape looking like a warrior with a sword.
You and Ubbe walked closer. With a grin on your face, you nodded your head. "Well, that's always something new."
Ubbe slowly raised his eyebrow. "Well, that's interesting."
Sigurd was the second to approach and check the final result. "Ivar, brother, you're the man of many talents. Your talent goes far beyond being a brat. You have the power to fuck everything you get your hands on."
"Sigurd," you frowned at him and then smiled at Ivar. "Don't say that. Ivar makes pretty things in his own way. I like it."
Upon seeing Ivar looking up at you, you could swear he had a twinkle in his eye and a slight smile on his lips.
"Can you help me make more warriors like you did? WE COULD MAKE OUR OWN ARMY!" You enthusiastically inquired.
Ivar cocked his eyebrow while looking at you but nodded without unnecessary words.
You flopped down on the snow and began making your army.
Ivar observed you but soon followed, trying to make another shape in the fluffy snow.
As you copied his technique, you made some crooked shapes in the snow. You tried to make better-looking ones with an unhappy growl.
Ivar created a few more shapes with some struggles, but after that he was truly proud with the final outcome.
As Ubbe helped you shake the snow off your fur, you smiled and thanked him.Â
You looked proudly at all the shapes. "Beware! I present to you your brother's army that will conquer the world!"
Ivar, who was sitting on the ground, looked up at you and actually gave you a smile. "It's not that bad in the end. They don't look like pathetic angels."
"I won't do snow angels again," you giggled, "They look like great warriors, so it will be only snow warriors from now on."
"Snow warriors, I like it, actually," Ivar replied proudly.
Despite rolling his eyes, Sigurd agreed that the shapes looked pretty neat.
Your head was bowed, and you said, "It's your own army, my prince."
Ivar kept smiling at you, but soon his smile vanished from his lips.
As Sigurd walked away, he mocked, "This is the only army he'll ever get.".
Using some snow, you rolled a ball and threw it at Sigurd. You walked to Ivar next. "Don't worry. You'll have a great army soon, I'm sure."
Ubbe watched the scene for a moment, but soon he decided it was time to leave you and Ivar alone, so you could try to get along together - Ivar used to be very snappy towards you since the very first day you were taken in by Ragnar and Aslaug.
"Yeah, in my fucking dreams."
"Oh, Ivar. Please, you never know what gods have prepared for you," you reassured him.
"Gods seem to hate me," he told you, slowly crawling away.
Following him, you shook your head. "No, Ivar. They don't. You are still here. It means one thing - they have a great plan for you."
"How can you be so cheerful? So full of hope?" He asked with a nasty tone.
"The positive side of life is what I try to focus on," you explained. "By being down the entire time, you will make things harder for yourself."
Ivar crawled to the nearest stable, where he crawled inside and sat on the hay. He started petting one of the horses. "Maybe you're right."
It was brave of you to sit next to him. "Each of us has a purpose in this world. If you are here, it means your purpose hasn't yet been fulfilled."
"Maybe you're right. I dream of becoming the most powerful man in the world."
"My belief is that one day you will be the most powerful man in the world."
He cocked his eyebrow, looking at you. "You say all those things, and you're kind to me only because I am a cripple, and you're scared of my mother."
There was a roll of the eyes from you. The reason I am polite to you is because I want to, and even if you aren't nice sometimes, I don't think you deserve to be hated or treated worse than others."
His eyebrow slowly went up a little as Ivar tilted his head.
"What?â
"Am I saying something?"
As you shrugged, you replied, "No, but I've seen this look before."
"Do you?"
"Yes," Nodding, you grabbed his chin and turned his face enough to kiss him gently.
Ivar gasped; this was the last thing he expected of you. Your lips were soft, warm and welcoming. Ivar instinctively closed his eyes and moved his lips slowly against yours, giving the kiss back.
After kissing him for a moment longer, you pulled away. Seeing his lightly shocked expression, you giggled. "Would you be able to smile for me now?"
Hesitantly, Ivar smiled but soon turned his head away, trying to hide the blush and surprise that painted on his face.
You kissed his cheek briefly and got up to leave the stable. "This expression suits you much better," you said. "We'd better get back before your mother gets angry at me."
"Angry at you? Why? You're guarding her crippled son," Ivar patted the horse one last time and crawled slowly after you.
You concluded, "I keep him outside when it's freezing as well. If you get sick, it's my fault. Not only will she punish me for that, but she will make me take care of you, and you're even more moody when you're sick."
"That's not true," he protested, but followed you anyway.
"How could that be? Every time you are sick, you almost cry that you are dying."
"Because this is how I feel, like dying!"
"Oh, yes, yes. Let's get back inside. I will make you something warm to drink."
He followed you, thinking he could warm himself up with one more kiss from you.
