“Funny you should mention that. She started turning grey as she started getting bigger. She used to be pink when she was little,” She remarks. She found that part interesting, and amusing to imagine her as a snatcher. Though it is concerning to think of her snatching people and bringing her to their home.

Lucie falls back flat on her yelping in surprise. But she gets back up quickly shaking off any rubble or dust. She bounces back and walked back to Grin inspecting him, before giving him a cheerful trill. She’s making sure he was ok. She sniffs over JD, finding out where he’s been, she knows it all through the scents as she tries to learn it all through her curious nose.

Upon all this, Shima sits down on a broken, fallen wall chuckling. On one hand, she’s happy to have Lucie found her own little friend to rough play with. On the other hand the two of them 

"I think you played a little rough in that tug-o-war eh?” She quips as she smiles at Lucie. “You should be careful, you don’t know your own strength.”

Lucie huffed in affirmation, half confident half proud of it.

A small smile escapes her lips. “Thanks, that means a lot. I look forward to that day.”

She appreciates the invitation, maybe she would consider paying a visit though she’s not entirely sure if ‘Shades’ over there would really be happy to accommodate her, considering the animosity he showed earlier. 

She turns to JD as she sees him approaching her. She was curious about the horrible thing he did that Fahz was so keen on sharing tonight just for the chaos of it. She didn’t want to pry off it. She hoped he would tell her one day when they were friends, and depending on the severity, to work back to becoming friends as she proclaimed earlier.

“Think of it more as ‘see you later.’ I have a feeling we might see each other more often after this. Though I appreciate that thought,” She responds in an optimistic tone. “Take care of yourself JD. You only have one life.”

With that, she puts on her broken mask and whistles for Lucie. Lucie trotted over to her side after trilling farewell to her newfound friend. They two walked into a direction opposite of the ruins with their silhouettes blended into the shadows and they were seen nevermore into the night. 

“I won’t. Because it’d be up to him to tell me on his own terms. I’m sure whatever he did, was terrible. But I’m pretty sure he’ll do anything to make up for it, even if that took time. If it made me spit curses then he’ll have to work on earning my trust all over. I’d be ok with that” 

There’s a fire in her eye, and fire in her words. She didn’t know JD, she doesn’t know what he’s done. She doesn’t know why she’s defending him, but she does it anyway. Maybe it’s because he was one of the only people who saw her as someone other than a terrorist.

“So do me this favor and don’t force someone’s wounds open for the sake of watching the blood seep to the ground. If he wants to open them himself, let him. You don’t want anyone to do the same to you, do you? ”

“And frankly I’ve done shit even I’m not proud of,” she admits as she takes off her cloak, revealing not only her body armor but also the tags of Jean and the black prosthetic as a reminder of what happened. “And that’s on me, and me alone.”

With her prosthetic hand, she points to JD.

“That would count for him as well.”

Immediately her lips are seal to hide her presence here. Shima signs to Lucie to do the same. Lucie sits down, keeping her mouth shut as well, although she tilts her head in curiosity from hearing this new voice coming from the strange box.

She thought Grin, Wade, and JD were the only ones in the area on patrol. It seemed that he failed to mention that of another. Either way, she needs to leave before this gets worse. 

Lucie, being bored from her silence, gets up, only to accidentally step on broken glass, causing both her and Shima to freeze-up while Shima’s eyes widen in panic.
