A Small Smile Escapes Her Lips. Thanks, That Means A Lot. I Look Forward To That Day.

A small smile escapes her lips. “Thanks, that means a lot. I look forward to that day.”
She appreciates the invitation, maybe she would consider paying a visit though she’s not entirely sure if ‘Shades’ over there would really be happy to accommodate her, considering the animosity he showed earlier.
She turns to JD as she sees him approaching her. She was curious about the horrible thing he did that Fahz was so keen on sharing tonight just for the chaos of it. She didn’t want to pry off it. She hoped he would tell her one day when they were friends, and depending on the severity, to work back to becoming friends as she proclaimed earlier.
“Think of it more as ‘see you later.’ I have a feeling we might see each other more often after this. Though I appreciate that thought,” She responds in an optimistic tone. “Take care of yourself JD. You only have one life.”
With that, she puts on her broken mask and whistles for Lucie. Lucie trotted over to her side after trilling farewell to her newfound friend. They two walked into a direction opposite of the ruins with their silhouettes blended into the shadows and they were seen nevermore into the night.

“Not really for me, but you should give a damn about who they belonged to. They were the reason why I stuck my ass out trying to help other COGS like her, JD and hell maybe even you.”
“They belonged to somebody. Her name was Jean Grey. She fought for the COG and it killed her. She died trying to shield me and even then I lost my fucking arm and her. And I had to watch her die alone in my arms. Nobody came for either of us,” she admits her story of the day she died. The day she lost her. The day whatever world she had to crumble.
“The COG is supposed to bring everybody together and keep everybody together. So why did she get left behind? I was screaming for somebody, anybody to come help as she bled out,” She grits between her teeth.
“I wasn’t always a terrorist, but I wasn’t an Outsider or a COG either. So why did someone like me end up living and someone like her loyal to the COG end up dying alone with me of all people?”
Her calm composure was replaced by emotions long buried soon bursting at the seams, her hands balled in a fist as she looks him in the eye as she tells him. Looking back at JD. He was right. It wasn’t safe here to start a fight. She sighed and backed up to try and breathe. Her hands fall to the side not looking at either Fahz nor JD.
“Why did she die so I could live?” She mumbled to herself.
With that, she takes her cloak and gestures Lucie to follow her. She picks up her mask and starts to walk away.

“How long have you known him?” She inquires, “You seem to know each other a little well.”
She’s reminded of the times with Jean, how they picked up the little quirks from one another as time went by. She used to find that cute, even after Jean died in her arms in that time ago.
Something in the air changes, Lucie can smell that. There’s someone else here, but she stays at Shima’s side. But she keeps smelling the air, even in the soil, trying to identify whether or not they’re friend or foe.

Her body flinches for a moment at the sound of gunshots. Looking back she is horrified by the scene. As the shape falls down, she takes a moment to grab a good-sized rock, before continuing to run away from the parking lot. She is mortified by Michael’s endurability, all those bullets would kill a man.
Her lungs burn as she jumps over dead trees and trying to cover enough distance as she can away from him. It is here that she realizes that she could die here. Alone. No one could be able to save her and sends fear into her heart.
As the fear sinks in, so does the regrets. Regrets of accepting to volunteer at Sleepaway Camp with Jean, following the aftermath she hid everything. To try and forget it all. Therefore having to shut everyone around her to hide her shame. To hide her true emotions to the people she cared for. There’s one name that she feels the most regret for: John.
Regret never being honest to him about her past, and now there’s a chance she might die in the woods without ever telling him what really happened to her. To apologize for hurting him in any way. But that won’t happen, no matter how much she wanted to, the fear sets in anytime she tried of reaching out.
But she internally screams ‘fuck that’, and she keeps running, a part of her determined to say sorry one day, no matter how long that takes.

“Yeah, let’s hope,” She answers nodding before she gets up and starts gathering the frightened people. She directs them to the back exit of the diner, quieting them so they don’t alarm the Shape to their position. As she hurries them out the door, she thinks of her plan.
Even if she does lure him away from the diner what then? What will happen if she is caught? But then she thinks of Jason and she has somewhat of an idea. She hopes Jason doesn’t take it too bad. She sneaks out the back door before rounding back to the truck, opening the tailgate where Jason’s machete and trident laid.
She can’t carry them both, so she chooses the machete. Insight of Michael, she shouts “Hey!!” before trying to chuck it at him with both her hands, hoping that will catch his attention.
She makes it a point to leave the tailgate open, to leave the trident available, should Jason rise again.

Shit. She looks back at Lucie and then at JD. Then back at Lucie in disappointment as she realizes they’ve been caught, causing Lucie to whimper in disappointment as well. Eyeing the sniper sight, she feels the impulse to pull out her sniper and load a bullet into him. It’s already gotten worse so why just take him out?
No, there was still a chance to escape. To knock him out then run, provided she got the chance. But for now, she’s stuck in a backed-up corner with no way to run.
She can only hide her fearful anger and just keeps silent as inside of her cloak she traces the engravings of Jean’s tags as a way to keep calm and focus on her plan of escape.
