Sul sul! This is Leandra, a former rich girl from a good family in the city, the pride and joy of her parents and cause of their deepest despair. Currently a runaway and countrywoman to be.

Her wellies still don't quite fit, the mosquitoes and snails give her a hard time, but she puts up with it all for the love of her life. 🐌

He - a wanted troublemaker and thorn in the side of her family - has to hide from his henchmen and what better place to do so than a cozy little house in Bramblewood near the sleepy village of Henford-on-Bagley? To keep up the facade of simple country living, Leandra toils daily with dirty fingers in the garden, planting fruit and vegetables, weeding, fighting slugs, and making potted jam. Because that's what country women do, right? 🍓

But how long will it be before the nosy neighbors of Henford's surrounding farms get suspicious and find out about her little secret? And what exactly is this secret that has so dramatically separated Leandra from her family?

HOHENZOLLERN ALLEE 72-76

a German-inspired 1950s apartment build + a furnished flat

A build download that was in the works for almost a month and made me realise how much I love building local architecture even though it's not the easiest within the constraints of TS4.

It's meant to represent a realistic German apartment build, that is a bit run down and yet still feels homey and nostalgic to those of us growing up near or in these buildings. There's one furnished flat that is ideal for 2-3 sims and furnished in a retro 60s-90s look, that I hope you'll enjoy! This is also a BIG 1K followers gift, with which I want to show my deepest appreciation to all my followers, thank you so much!!

First a little history/backstory to this build:

This build is something you'd see very often in Middle to Northern Europe, less so in the UK, because brick builds there look similar but also different and I based my build off of Northern German brick builds.

The red brick used for these builds dominates the townscapes in quite a few cities where I live and has been used for a few centuries (see Brick Gothic). This build that I based on a real building, however, is more modern and was probably built after WW2, as the design choices, like using tiles on the facades of brick builds is something distinctively 1950s. I know there are older examples, but these buildings usually have more design and decor elements on the facades. These red brick builds were built en masse starting with the 1920s and were usually meant for low-income households. The same goes for the 1950s brick builds, which were built on top of ruins of older buildings destroyed in the war and oftentimes were cheaply constructed and usually don't receive the same appreciation that older pre-war brick builds get, so quite a few are already being demolished for more modern builds.

So what do you get with this build?

Hohenzollernallee 72-76 is a 40x30 lot that I placed in Evergreen Harbor on the Sprucewood Square lot. I created 2 versions of the building, one as a normal residential lot and another as a residential rental. Just choose whatever you want! There are 6 different flats, that have been renovated at different times, which is apparent from the condition of their kitchen and bathroom.. Each flat has its own basement room and the garden is shared between all tenants and there's a shared laundry room in the basement as well.

You'll also have a restaurant shell, the Burger Lab that is not functional currently, but you could make it so if you want.

The furnished flat is playtested and ideal for 2-4 sims max and is heavily 'lived in', meaning very cluttered. I personally see an older woman living there, whose husband already died and her daughter left as soon she turned 18, but the interior was never changed or renovated. I don't know, you could probably come up with a lot of story ideas!

CC is mostly included. You'll find an Excel file with the specific file names and the dl link for all CC that is not included. The build will probably still look okay-ish without the excluded CC but I strongly recommend downloading it, if you do not already have it.

When this letter finds you, I am already gone. Do not be sad my sweet girl, I´ve led a long and happy life and that´s something most people can only dream of. I always considered myself being one of the luckiest people on earth, having had such a wonderful wife, children, and of couse you, my precious grandchild. Now, I am not writing this letter to tell you how much all of you mean to me - no, I am writing this letter to you, Liliane, to inform you about your inheritance. I am guessing the notary already told all of you about it but it must have left you especially with a lot of questions. Do you remember when you were younger, playing on our farm for the entire summer´, chasing the chickens and tending to our horses.

Even the lamas adored you, and we had some feisty little fellas. Your grandmother and I couldn´t ever imagine the day you´d stopped spending your time here. Of course you´d grown older eventually, and dear, I hope you achieve everything you ever dream of in this lifetime. But even your mom noticed soon enough that this office job that you have right now is taking all of your motivation, all of your energy, hell, I would even go as far as to say it takes your will to live. You´ve never really known your place in life, and maybe, just maybe, your place was here all along. I want to give you a chance to experience something completely different, unlike the jobs you have tried so far. Let me update you on a few things:

There are no lamas around the farm anymore. After your grandmas passing and your mom moving away, I wasnt able to take care of all of the animals properly anymore. The stable still stands, it is up to you if you´d like to give a home to lama again, or maybe even a cow. The chickens are still roaming around their shed, as happy as can be. For horses, there are only two left. Senior Silvester is a loyal, strong stallion although he isnt very fond of being ridden anymore. He´ll surely forgive you though, should you attempt to. One of the last things your grandmother did was to adopt a foal namend Kurkuma, and I couldn´t bring myself to sell it after she passed away, she held that little guy so dear. I know you haven´t ridden a horse in what feels like forever, but this is one of the things in life you never really forget.

Your mom is probably mad that I gave you the farm. Ah yes, she always imagined you to be some sort ot CEO or a doctor, so if this farm life really is not what you long for, sell it. You do not have to feel any sort of remorse if you do. I want you to be happy, after all, and I will support you from up there no matter how you will decide. But maybe this right here is exactly what you need.
