Chlamydoselachus anguineus or the Frilled Shark
Frilled sharks have been swimming in our oceans for about 80 million years! Despite being a shark, its movements are incredibly eel-like. When hunting prey (their preferred meal is squid), they will open their jaws and swallow them whole.
Fin-to-fin synchronised swimming, thought likely to be part of courtship, has been seen in groups of basking sharks for the first time in the Hebrides, Scotland. Video cameras were temporarily attached to the sharks and gave scientists an unprecedented view of their hitherto secret underwater world. Photograph: University of Exeter and NatureScot

Plerogyra sinuosa or Bubble Coral
Appropriately named, the bubble coral is covered in bubble-like polyps that are filled with water; these can develop in different colors and shapes. The polyps also contain zooxanthellae, causing the bubbles to expand during the day and retract at night.
