Things I Learned Today In Poetry Class: Plato Wrote A Whole Book On Mlm Relationships And Apparently
Things I learned today in poetry class: Plato wrote a whole book on mlm relationships and apparently there was a section speculating whether Achilles or Patroclus topped.
Also, that Achilles/Patroclus is a popular ship (after reflecting on the Iliad, they definitely had at least homoerotic bestieship).
Though admittedly, lots of historical works have that [see: all of Shakespeare; yes, R&J included because all the OG actors were guys (INCLUDING the one playing Juliet)], so I'm not really all that disappointed in myself for not noticing.

Recently saw something about the Force (as in Star Wars) being female.
No.
The Force is quite literally a force that acts upon living beings. This is like giving gravity a gender (and I'm not referring to gendering that happens in romance languages).
In-universe, does the wind have a gender (male, female, non-binary, etc)? No it does not. And so I genuinely have no idea why you would assign the Force, which operates the same way (by both being affected by and affecting its surroundings) a gender either.
I was reading stuff on theforce.net and now I want an incredibly dark Anahiri fanfic diverging at the Edge of Victory duology where they both get shaped and end up brainwashed (but still into each other) and end up as an unstoppable Yuuzhan Vong strike team that makes it so the Republic loses the war (this means we get to avoid the character assassination of later books, yay!)
Someone please tell me when this happened???
Thalia kissed Luke and Luke referred to them as mommy and daddy...and you guys think their feelings for each other were platonic???
Today I decided to choose pain and decided to watch fan edits of star wars to "Empty chairs at empty tables" and despite the angst they're all very well done.
Honestly, every morning I wake up and wish someone would wack me in the face with a can of crab so I have an excuse to stay in bed
