ever since he had come back from paris he wouldn’t stop saying it, wouldn’t stop saying ‘mon ange’ to you.

you could only assume it meant something good, a term of endearment judging by his tone, but then again your boyfriend could just be fooling you, which honestly wouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

“if you wanna know so bad then you should learn french like me” he told you with a smug look.

“you know how to say a grand total of two words. i’d bet i already know more words than you do”

“well then in that case you should be able to work out what it means shouldn’t you, mon ange?” he grinned with closed eyes.

you rolled your eyes at him before picking up your phone and opening the translate site.

“what are you doing?” jeonghan looked at you confused, “what do you need this for?”

“well since you aren’t telling me i may as well just search it”

to your surprise, he didn’t make an effort to stop you, instead wanting you to find the meaning despite being adamant on not letting you know a minute ago.

after typing the word and the site detected and translated the language, you looked at jeonghan slowly, a lovesick grin glued on your face.

“you’re so cute” you told him with a ghost of a pout on your lips that jeonghan kissed while giggling at your reaction.

“so are you, my angel”

Rain was neither common nor rare in the country you lived in. There was a fair share of heavy, moderate and light rain. Despite the slight hindrance it brought, you loved it.

The sound of the water droplets falling from the sky and coming into contact with the closest object was practically music to your ears. You loved studying, reading and resting while listening to the rain.

Right now, you had just finished your scrumptious dinner (not made by your boyfriend) and you heard the droplets. The drizzle slowly escalated and soon enough, you were resting on your couch, your eyes closed, enjoying the weather.

Your boyfriend, Vernon, had just come out of the bathroom and found you apparently sleeping on the couch. He swiftly made his way over to you, shaking you lightly.

“Babe, babe, don’t sleep. You just finished your dinner and need to digest it or you’ll vomit,” he mumbled as your eyes opened. You looked up to him, stifling a chuckle. How cute.

“I wasn’t sleeping, Vern,” you replied, pulling your boyfriend closer to you to cuddle. “I was just enjoying the sound of rain.” Vernon said nothing but a simple “oh” as he cuddled into you, smushing his face into the crook of your neck.

After some time of comfortable silence between you two (while you listened to the plashing patter of steady rain), Vernon shifted his position to take a good look at your beautiful face.

“I love how you love the rain. I love how you enjoy it instead of complaining about its inconvenience. I don’t have a single friend who likes the rain as much as you do. Please don’t stop loving it. It makes you special, and I can show you off better when you’re special.”

You laughed at his last sentence, smacking him on the chest lightly. What a dork.

It was right in the middle of a meeting, so atleast most of the avengers were present.

“You can’t just throw your knives, you’ll run out of weapons!” Nat yelled, blocking one of the intruders by kicking its chest. 

“IT’S A TUESDAY, I WASN’T PREPARED FOR GIANT ANT-ALIENS!” you shrieked, throwing the last of your daggers at the creature who was closing in on you. It planted itself in one of its eyes, automatically disintegrating its body to dust.

More of them were now circling, obviously sensing your vulnerability. 

But when one opened its mouth, only a scream came out. The insects before you faded away into green dust, and there stood Loki with a smug smile.

“Always have to have a dramatic entrance, don’t you?” you asked, rolling your eyes.

☆ holds your hand tightly under tables

even if seungkwan is an extrovert– and a proud one too, he’s still very shy about everything concerning the four lettered word ‘love’. seungkwan is pretty shy about a few subjects and his love life is one of them. it’s not that he’s embarrassed or something, it’s kinda new to him and he still isn’t entirely sure how to act, cheeks turning red rapidly when you grab his hand to sway them back and forth together in public. this new experience, those new feelings and the fact that his friends seem to laugh more every time he’s around them with you at his side, only further agitates him, pointing and yelling at his friends to stop, voice high and face red. whenever that happens you can only laugh, pushing yourself closer to your boyfriend as he whips around to look at you with wide eyes, mouth agape at your ‘betrayal’. one kiss on the cheek is enough to make him stutter, redirecting his attention anywhere else but you as you giggle in the crook of his neck. when your laughter dies down and you can feel seungkwan’s heartbeat slow down, you slip your hand in his, fingers intertwined together. his eyes lock with yours and he smiles at you, love evident in every action and word.

even if it seems like seungkwan is too busy running around and being the extrovert and social butterfly he is, he almost never misses anything that happens, always keeping an eye open in case something happens. so with him being such an attentive person, you shouldn’t be surprised when he jumps up from his seat and rushes over to you at the slightest frown on your face. you’re not aware– or at least he thinks so, that he always stays close to you when you’re doing some tasks. if you’re in the kitchen preparing food, he’s in the living room, seated on the couch and peeking at you. if you’re in the bathroom doing your skincare (when you’re not doing it together, if course), he’s in the bedroom, door open. if you’re in the bedroom cleaning your sock drawer, he’s right by you, consciously cleaning his sock drawer too. in all honesty, you thought your boyfriend was cute for wanting to stay close to you, but the thing he’s thinking about is why you always forget to get a hair tie. when you’re doing your tasks, he always sees you silently whining about your hair and how it bothers you. so as the sweet boyfriend he is (he quoted) seungkwan took up the task of holding your hair in a makeshift ponytail whenever you lean down, to the sink after brushing your teeth, to the counter to taste something you cooked, to the sock drawer to see if it’s neatly organized.

☆ peels your fruit for you especially tangerines

since you were young, you’ve always bitten your nails. you never exactly knew when you started or why but it must have been very early on if even your mom couldn’t exactly pinpoint when it started. all throughout middle school and highschool, you were desperately trying to quit that awful habit of yours, jealous and envious of all your friends sharing nail polishes and nail care tips, but it always came back. you hated it and felt so guilty after the urge to bite your nails finally persuaded you to do so, looking at your now ‘ugly’ nails sadly. because of that, you barely wore rings, convinced that they would attract attention to your fingers and thus your nails. it was during your first year in university that you met seungkwan, the cheerful but sassy boy brightening your days. when the two of you got together, seungkwan was there to help you do a nail care routine. your nails were in perfect condition not even two months later, prettier than ever and better than you could have imagined them. you hadn’t realized it at first but over these months, seungkwan had started taking over a few of your tasks that could potentially break your nails, such as peeling fruits or washing the dishes. he didn’t mind one bit and would only ask for a kiss on the cheek whenever you were hungry, wanting to snack on a tangerine and waiting with excitement ‘til he was done peeling the fruit.

like we all must know by now, seungkwan gets shy because of the most random things and at the most random times. and like we all know too, seungkwan gets particularly shy about his partner. at first when you two started dating, it felt like you two were even less closer than before, your boyfriend looking at you like you were crazy whenever you initiated contact. so after he confessed to you about his nervousness because this was part of his ‘firsts’, you two came to an agreement to take it slow; seungkwan would initiate it whenever he liked and you would sometimes push him a little, just to bring him a tiny bit out of his comfort zone. his hesitation has nearly disappeared and his nervousness is barely present nowadays because of how comfortable you two have become with each other over the years but there are still some times where he’s wondering if he’s doing the right thing. in short, seungkwan is still a bit shy about public displays of affection but he’s slowly and surely getting over his shyness, more often finding himself to be confident when he has an arm wrapped around your waist. he knows you’re patient with him but he still feels bad, so he makes it up to you with other actions. instead of a peck in public, he holds your bag(s); instead of a hug, he brushes your hair for you; instead of hand holding, he always helps you put your necklaces on.

you clumsily entered your order into the kiosk your local starbucks had just begun to implement into their already confusing system. you were never one to buy coffee in starbucks, always opting to make your own coffee the way you liked it. you were pretty specific when it came to your coffee. it needed to be bitter to some extent but also have an underlying sweetness to it. surely, you weren’t situated here in starbucks for no reason, right?

yeah, of course you wouldn’t be. you had lost a bet the previous day and was now forced to buy coffee for your best friend, heejin. she had a major sweet tooth and was actually (and possibly) clinically obsessed with starbuck’s java chip frappuccino. she’d have it everyday before your morning classes that you shared with her, occasionally gushing about the taste of whatever sugar concoction she drank religiously. it was terrifying, honestly.

in the end, you had to ask help from a nearby waiter on how to operate the machine you were struggling on. at this point, you had managed to create a line of thirsty and possibly angry customers behind you. you were damned and completely red with embarrassment. luckily, the waiter was kind enough to guide you through the whole process, even guiding you to an empty seat by the window. after all that humiliating situation you had put yourself into, you finally had time to relax and unwind from the stressful events about to happen by the window seat.

the view outside was immaculate, people wearing tote bags rushing to get to their morning classes in the university closeby to the starbucks, the traffic outside never failing to daze you from how busy it is at 8 am and the evil pigeons that drop their bombs every few minutes on unsuspecting passersby. it was quite amusing to say the least, just seated in a cafe while you watched the world unfold itself.

your train of thought was cut the second you heard your order and name being called. “java chip frappuccino for hee!” the piercing voice of the barista in charge ricocheted across the cafe which instantly made you jolt up and towards said barista. to your surprise, another hand reached out for the coffee cup simultaneously as you. hands accidentally colliding with each other, you instantly retracted your hand with your eyes wide open as you stared at the handsome stranger in front of you.

he too seemed fairly surprised at the incident, bambi eyes staring straight at yours. he gave an awkward half smile when the barista pushed another drink towards the two of you with a smirk on her face. “another java chip frappuccino for hee.” was all she said before she continued on with the other drinks piling up. the male awkwardly pulled you to the side, giving way for the other customers to get their drink. this time, a genuine smile plastered across his face as he reached out a hand to shake yours.

“lee heeseung,” he stated, emphasising the ‘hee’. you let out a small chuckle, shaking his hand before introducing yourself as just y/n. he stared at you for a bit in confusion, indirectly asking for an explanation. “I lost a bet to my friend heejin and I had to buy her her daily coffee.” you explained, an awkward grin stretching on your face. heeseung nodded, smiling at the thought of you being upset at losing a bet.

to be honest, the second his hand grazed yours, he knew he was in for a surprise. the way your hands felt extremely delicate and soft under his hands even if it were for a slight second was enough to drive his brain insane. when he turned to face you was even more of a shock, you had a face that was sure to be ingrained into his mind for the rest of his university life. the fact that your eyes were widened and your lips slightly parted made his heart melt right then and there.

a sheepish smile crept upon his face as he raked up the courage to spill out what he had been thinking of the second his hands grazed yours, “what if you bought her coffee everyday from now on, with me?
