They say that the sun brings life....but it took one away from you.

As you were about to go and take a long needed rest,you heard the door knocking.You went and opened it,revealing a person,who you recalled was Chifuyu.He was a good friend of your ex-boyfriend Baji Keisuke,but after your breakup with Baji,you no longer found it in yourself to face his friends.

The memories of that painful breakup still lingers in your mind. 'Where did I go wrong?'you would say to yourself. 'Was it because I wasn't understanding enough of his struggles?'.You remember how it was on your 3rd anniversary since you guys started dating.

Though he broke your heart when he left,he was still the only one who mended it when you were lonely,or when you had a family fight and ran away from home.

"Tch,Y/N-chan....Why are your hair so fucking messy?CAN'T YOU TAKE CARE OF THEM??" Baji said trying to brush your long and frizzy hair.

"AHHH IT HURTS..." you said slapping his hands away from you.

"Well maybe if you took care of your hair like I do,none of this shit would have happen- *crack*YOUR FUCKING HAIR BROKE MY PRECIOUS BRUSH YOU BITCH I'M GONNA-"

He ran after you, looking furious as ever.You were laughing like a banshee while running for your life.

"B-but B-Baji..i won't interfere with your business with a gang or anything.I won't visit you in Toman,please I won't-"

"I'm not longer in Toman.I'm a member of Valhalla now."he said,while tying his hair up in a bun.

"Baji...why would you leave a gang like Toman for those headless angels criminals?BAJI THIS IS NOT LIKE YOU"you screamed and jumped on him,causing him to fall down.

After a few miserable and pathetic punches thrown at him,Baji grabbed your weak hands and said

"I'm no longer the Baji you used to know."

He removed your weight from his body and walked away,leaving you screaming like a hysteric on the cold floor of the subway station.

He left you.He abandoned you.He walked out of your life,the only souvenirs you had of him were the good moments and the promise bracelets you both gave each other.

And on those,were imprinted the words

And that was the same bracelet Chifuyu slid inside your shaky cold hands,your soul already detached from your body.

"H-he told me to give you this,before dying."he said but your brain went blank.

"I'm sorry...I couldn't save him."The broken boy infront of you fell on his knees.He was crying and screaming in agony.

You on the other side,were benumbed by the news you've just heard.Staring down at the bracelet that was covered in Baji's blood,your legs felt numbed and you broke down on the floor.

Chifuyu grabbed the back of your head and rested it on his shoulders.He was caressing your back,drawing invisible circles on it,while trying hard to find soothing words to comfort you.

"Don't cry Y-Y/N,please.Don't cry." he managed to say calmly but at the end,his voice and emotions ended up betraying him.

You could tell by the way his chest rose and fell,by the way that his jaws was moving up and down that he was doing his best to act tough and invulnerable infront of you.But deep down you knew that he was the one who deserved more consolation and empathy than you did.Afterall,he was the one who was there with Baji from the beginning.He was there when Baji chose to leave Toman,he was Baji's disciple.

You removed your head from the crook of his neck and grabbed his cheeks,staring at his lachrymose eyes.

"Chifuyu,thank you for staying with Baji till the end."you dried his tears with your thumb.

Chifuyu looked at you,with a reassured face.He grabbed your hands and said

"He loved you you know.He never told me anything right after your breakup but I could see a picture of you in his pocket.I knew that the only reason he ended your relationship was because he chose a fate where he would die in it.But he always loved you and wanted the best for you."

You looked down at the promise bracelet one last time before putting it on a shelf,next to all the pictures that you and Baji took together,to which you remembered each and every single moment of them.

You turned around and saw Chifuyu on his knees,a hand to his heart.

"I'll protect you Y/N.Baji told me to protect you so this is my duty now.You are under the guard of Toman and we will always protect you.I won't let anyone lay a single finger on you.I swear it on my life."

And at that moment,you felt happy.Because inside of Chifuyu's eyes,you could see your Baji staring right back at you,reciting the same exact words that Chifuyu just said.It was as if Baji's soul was communicating with you through Chifuyu and it showed how powerful the meaning behind the very words imprinted on the promised bracelet you had was.

You stared at the bracelet in awe

"How much did you pay for that?"you sadly said.

Sukuna x Reader

𝕭𝖊𝖜𝖆𝖗𝖊: 𝐍𝐨𝐧𝐞

Ryomen Sukuna was the King of Curses.He was labelled as a monster by other peasants but was also worshipped as a God,receiving offerings so that the King could protect them from other curses in return.

He would received expensive clothes kneaded with rare linen,he would receive the first harvest of everyone's crop.He would also receive new women everyday to join his already full harem.But he needed a Queen.

Or so that's what his counselors advised to him,because he needed a a powerful heir to expand his kingdom to the whole world.

But who was worthy enough to bear his child?Definitely none of the women who are being presented to him right now seem strong enough to control a kingdom by his side.Apart from their figures and their beautiful faces,they looked so scared at the thought of even coming near him.How are they supposed to reign a Palace?Do they even know how to use a sword?

The 45th women has been presented to him,and yet the King's boredom hasn't vanished.

"My King,all of the women who were bound to be your Queen have already been presented to you."His servant,said to him.

Sukuna looked wearied.

"I see"

After saying those words,a frail looking girl dressed in a white flowery dress with braided dark hair rushed into the kingdom.She was stopped by the entrance guards but then showed them what seemed like a piece of paper.It was inevitably the announcement letter that the King had published to look for a woman capable of being his Queen as the soldiers allowed her in upon seeing the paper.

All of the other women were mocking her.If they were not able to capture the interest of the King even though they were gifted by an ethereal beauty,how can this mere farmer girl earn the respect of Ryomen Sukuna?

The girl bowed infront of Sukuna,trying hard not to lose her balance and gave him a basket of hot buns and croissants.

"Sorry I'm late,Your Majesty,"she said,mouthful of buns,in a small voice that almost made Sukuna's heart melt.Almost.

"Are you among the list of women that were supposed to come here?"Sukuna asked,staring down on the small looking girl infront of him.

"Yes.I came here to be the Queen.I mean if I can be the Queen.You can appoint me with any position you want,sir.As long as food is within reach"she said,ignoring the roar of laughter from the people of the kingdom.

"I am sorry for wasting your time my King.I didn't know that such a discourteous woman would hav-"the servant was interrupted when he saw the King stand up from his throne.

Sukuna walked towards the girl who was still bowed down,and grabbed her by her hair.

But what he did afterwards shocked everyone.Sukuna lowered himself to the point of sitting on his feet,and stared at the woman infront of him.

At first,he was amused with the way she was talking to him,unlike the other people who would be too frightened to even breath the same air as him.She treated him as a King and as a friend at the same time.

But after taking a good look at her face,he realised that she was far more beautiful than anyone he has ever seen during his reign.He has met a lot of women,slept with more people than even he could keep track of.Still,none of them could catch his interest.

You knew that you didn't stand a chance against the King.You didn't think of yourself as a woman beautiful enough to attract the stare of humans,say the least of a curse.

You also came from a poor family and wore modest clothes.You were not used to behaving courteously with the most exquisite behavior.

"Y-your Majesty,yo-your hold on my hair hurts,"you said,trying hard to sound as polite as possible.

Sukuna released your hair and grabbed your jaw instead,his deep eyes piercing inside of yours,as if he wants to know what you are thinking.

"Be my Queen,"he said,looking at you in pure admiration.

You couldn't believe it.

"Really?"you asked,eyes fixated to the demon's crimson ones.

"Do I look like I'm joking,human?"Sukuna growled.

"B-but y-your Majesty..Look at her.She doesn't look capable of being a Queen not only because of her social class but also because of her plain-looking appea-"his servant was cut off.

"Return all of the other women to their respective homes. There shall be no one except me near the Queen."Sukuna said.

"Also,whether she's good enough for you doesn't matter,"Sukuna said,eyeing the rude servant up and down.

"I don't want to.I am not hungry."he went to the shower to relax,but you knew that it was just to escape your questionings.

You should have just left the conversation to be,and not to indulge much into the subject.But at the same time,if you didn't stay,you wouldn't have known what he thought of you,the reason why he would always distance himself from you.

It was now the time for you to deliver Megumi some pastries that you baked.You would always come to give him fresh clothes and small gifts at his workplace,leaving them outside his office and pass incognito because you knew that he wouldn't take them knowing that they are from you.But you cared for him.You knew how much he worked and how hungry he might get.You knew how exhausted he might be and that's the reason why you keep bringing him clean and warm clothes,especially during winter.

Even though,he had someone else to take care of him,you always found time to bring him gifts.

You entered the big cooperation where Megumi has been the CEO of for more than 5 years already.Upon seeing you,the receptionist gave you a pitiful smile.

"Good morning Mrs Y/N.Are you going to deliver things for Mr.Fushiguro again?"she asked,noticing the two bags of fresh clothes and pastries.

"Yes I am."

You walked alongside the corridor where Megumi's office was.You noticed the small table on which you usually laid the presents.

But suddenly,the door of the office opened,revealing none other than Megumi.

His eyes looked at you and looked at the bags full of clothes that you were holding.His eyes widened upon realising that it was you,who were bringing those small gifts to him all this time.

But what you didn't expect was the way his eyes were burning in anger.You did knew that he might get angry if he learnt that the provider of all these little needs was you.He clearly stated last time he saw you bringing him pastries that he doesn't want to have anything to do with you.But did you expect him to straight up grab the bags that you were carrying and throw them on the floor?No,you didn't.

Because the man that you were seeing infront of you was no longer the one you fell in love with.He was no longer the warm man who would kiss you early in the morning and who would cook you breakfast.He was no longer the man who would say 'my love,don't leave' but is the one who would forced you to get out of his sight.

"I think that you didn't get me right last time."Megumi started talking but you were too focused on the pastries that were laying crushed on the ground.

"But those little things won't make me love you again,"he said.

Your legs felt numb and fell on the floor,picking up what was left of the pastries you baked for him from the dirty parquet.You were at least thankful for the tears that were blurring your vision.They prevented you from seeing the massacre Megumi made with all the effort you pulled out to make a perfect frame with the photos of all the good moments you spent together.

After taking everything and putting them in your bags,you trembled while walking towards the door and opened it.

6:00,that was the time he would usually receive some gifts and sweet pastries from this unknown person.

But since the day that Megumi perceived that you were the one behind those little presents,this daily routine of seeing bags full of sweets and Teddy bears quickly dissipated.

Not that he expected you to still undergo this regular task of bringing those usual offerings after what happened last time.He literally humiliated you and didn't show any compassion when he stepped on the photoframe that you made for him.

Ironic that now,this same photoframe is hanged up to the wall of his office,and he's been staring at it for a few days after your last encounter.

Instead of focusing on the meeting that was actually taking place,Megumi's mind cannot help but project the face you made that day.It has been 4 years already since you walked out of his office.

To say that he regrets everything that he did would be an understatement.The supposed girlfriend he had at his house the day you showed up with tears in your eyes was just a random girl he hooked up with in a way to convince himself that the choices he made were regretless.But did it work though?

Probably not.Because they didn't even last 3 days;the woman in question was no different from the other women who he slept with behind your back.Just a quick fling with a gold digger.

And the iconic line of him 'falling in love with someone else'? Megumi was a good businessman but also a talented actor if he was able to feed you with that lie.For him to fall in love with someone else,he should have a heart.But he didn't.Because his heart was stolen by you.

You think that he doesn't want to come back to you and to beg on his knees for you to take him back?Yes he doesn't want to.Why?Because he knows that you would take him back.That you won't even bother listening to his pleads and just make him some tea.That was the kind of love you had for him.But he didn't treasure it.

Instead,he chose to act like a total asshole.Leaving you waiting for him until you would collapsed on the sofa of the living room,while he was out drinking and dancing with random girls.
