Oh god that hurt. It felt like a knife was slowly twisting in my gut and by the end, someone (you) just came and flicked it for pure mockery and satisfaction. The final nail on the coffin. (I’m totally kidding….maybe). 

Rain! Can we slow down on the angst just a tad. Like I knew, I KNEW that this was coming, but it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt. Out of pure desperation, I also went back to previous chapters in the 1867/1868 timeline to refresh my memory and see if things got better then, but all there was was just angst. Do you know how much my heart is hurting right now, Rain?😩

UGGHHH!!! WILLOW!! You fantastic bean babe. This was honestly a perfect way to end my Halloween night. This drabble was cute. Too cute and witty. I love it whenever I see your humor poke through in moments such as this. And even though this was only a drabble, it felt so full and fulfilling my heart aches. 

And can I record scratch, rewind, and freeze frame to this part, please?

He melts against your touch, the two of you pressing close. His lips move against you, searching, slow, and ever so gentle. You press your hands to his face, the rain trickling down around your hands. It’s like floating on a buoy, kissing him, the push and pull of the waves bringing you back and forth, drawing you out to sea. Has kissing a stranger ever been this hypnotizing? 

This made fireworks and fireflies and everything light and bubbly surge through my stomach and mind. It was soft but so passionate and electrifying. It felt like I was watching a scene of a movie in my brain.

The temperature in the almost empty campus library was absolutely frigid. Why the librarians chose to set the thermostat at “Alaska” was a mystery to you. One that you’d like to solve once you got the feeling back in your fingers.

Clutching at the overlong sleeves of your hoodie that dangled over your hands, you tapped a pencil against the edge of your book. The glossy pages of whatever Witch & Human Relations chapter it was that you’d left off on stared up at you silently. Your homework that was due two class slots away remained incomplete, but you didn’t really care. Hell, it wasn’t like you’d even be able to concentrate on the First Year text when your friends were gossiping away and not even trying to whisper.

“I can’t believe you’re dating the Kim Namjoon.”

Narrowing your eyes into a heatless glare, you glanced up just in time to see Jiae slap her hand against Sungmi’s shoulder. She winced, rubbing the now sore spot with a pout on her small mouth. Everything about Sungmi was petite, cute, feminine. If she hadn’t been one of your closest friends since you were ten, you would have been jealous of her. But you couldn’t have any negative feelings towards such a sweet girl.

“Honestly, me either.” Sungmi smiled shyly, taking a long sip from the to-go cup of tea she’d left to cool on the table.

“I’ve heard rumors, you know.” Jiae flipped her long silver hair over her shoulders and leaned against the table with her chin propped up in her hands. Her emerald eyes sparkled mischievously as she wiggled her eyebrows. Voice dropping to a playful whisper, she teased, “That he was life changing in bed.”

“Yeah well, I can one hundred percent claim that those rumors are true.” Their giggles broke the concentration you pretended to have on the essay you were supposed to be writing.

“Speaking of,” Jiae started.

Oh no. Oh no, no, no.

“Y/n, how did last Saturday go?”

Ducking your head a little lower in an attempt to hide the way your expression contorted, you scribbled your pencil across the half-filled paper in a nonsensical spillage of words. “What do you mean?”

Your words came out nonchalant, unbothered. But you were, in fact, bothered. Sungmi tilted her head to the side inquisitively out of the corner of your eye. “At the party the upper years threw. Last thing you said before ditching us in the kitchen and disappearing was that you were about to go sleep with Park Jimin. Remember?”
