This story has been sitting at the top of my ‘Top Posts’ lists on my blog even though I hadn’t read it yet, but now I think the purpose of that was a beck and call signal for me to get to it. 

Wow, there’s so much to say about this story, so I hope that I’m able to describe what I’m feeling accurately and without a hitch, but the way you detail emotions is astonishing. From the beginning, everything just felt kind of grey. It’s the remains of the fight still lingering in the air and everything just felt slow and tense, but it was so damn beautiful the way you were able to depict that staleness. Like they’re walking on eggshells and are scared of another storm to come across.

One thing that I admired was the fact that Namjoon didn’t let the main character sleep alone. He wanted her to be there with him in bed, and for her to know that no matter what, even if they were in a fight, that he would still be there for her and comfort her. I thought that was really beautifully done. I also really admired this part:

Namjoon removed his hand from your mouth, allowing you to speak for once. He didn’t like the hurt in your eyes, though he can hide his feelings much easier than you could… he was hurting too.

“I love you, Joon. I don’t want anything bad either.” You admitted with a whisper. The worry in your eyes reflected in his. All his logical thoughts have vanished the moment you entered his room tonight. The moment he saw you, anything logical about you was forgotten and his emotions ran over him. He knows how you feel, he understands where you come from when the two of you argue.

I think this is just a stronger emphasis on what I said before, but the mutual understanding and acceptance that ‘hey, we might have our differences in opinions but I still love you’ really shows here. It’s where all of their walls are down and its plain raw emotions and feelings, and especially during sex, an argument would’ve felt revolting and just wrong. I’m also very thankful that you brought that up as well in this part:

Your lips met his once again, sucking in his bottom lip long and hard. Please don’t taint this mood, don’t taint the feeling of pleasure right now. Bringing up problems during an emotional and physical time could drastically cause damage. You repressed those thoughts from earlier, wanting nothing but Namjoon right here and right now.

Finally, the ending:

Once the two of you were cleaned up enough, you met once again in another embrace. But this time it wasn’t as awkward. There was kindness in the air, the silence not forcing your brain to think about any negative thoughts.

“We still need to talk.” He whispered, holding his lips to the top of your head. Small kissy noises escaped, causing you to smile.

You held on to him just a little bit tighter, afraid of losing this feeling to reality. “I know, Joonie. Tomorrow, please?”

A soundless nod came from him. With the room now in complete darkness after turning off the television, the two of you feel into the trap of slumber. Holding on to one another in a beautiful embrace.

Even though there is still more to come for them, I enjoyed the way you tied everything together. It’s emotional and vulnerable, and I know that they don’t want to face the challenges that they have in the morning, but I’m glad that they have that moment of peace and togetherness. It feels full and loving in the midst of angst and I think that’s the most beautiful moment of all. 

I’m so sorry for this long review, but I just really wanted to say that I’ve enjoyed reading your stories for so long and this one is definitely high on my list of favorites. Every single word you write is so poetic and beautiful and I wish I could engrave all of your pieces into my memories forever. Thank you so much Maggie again for sharing your writing with us. Namjoon kisses with slow precision, eager to elicit quiet sounds from your mouth and you find yourself lost in his touch - almost forgetting about your exact location until a second set of lips ghosts across your throat.  

“Don’t forget about me,” Taehyung whispers. 

Gi!! Hi Gi!! It’s been a minute.

Ever since I read ‘Company’, I knew that you would be one writer that I completely adored. Writing is your weapon and each and every time you blow strikes to my chest that are welcomed with open arms. It feels easy reading a piece by you, each and every one of them different in nature, but they are all so uniquely you and they are all so beautiful.

One thing that I have always loved was your imagery. It feels like you can see the entire universe with the beautiful words you write, and this scene is no different:

You angle around to face Namjoon, only to discover his jaw slacked expression, eyes dark as they wander over your form with a peaked interest. A low heat simmers beneath your skin at the sudden attention and you can only imagine what it will feel like to have his hands roam over your body, to trail across the sensitive flesh as his mouth sucks kisses into your skin.  

It’s so hot, so lustful, so seductive, and its one of those moments that settles deep in your skin because its a moment where you can tell that both of them want more and you depicted it so perfectly. I also really loved the chemistry between all three of them, and especially between Taehyung and Namjoon. The back and forth commentary, how Taehyung leads easily and Namjoon picks up and follows through perfectly. Though I really liked this scene:

“What do you think, Joon? Is there something you want?”

Namjoon stares down through hooded eyes, a feral hunger radiating amidst dark orbs and he swallows. “Can I eat you out?”

I think it’s just because throughout the heat and intensity of it all, there’s still a bit of innocence and unsureness and respectfulness in Namjoon’s words because of the situation that they are in, and I think that’s it’s a perfect show of his personality within this story. And finally the ending: 

Taehyung offers a smile and shifts a hand through your damp hair, carding back any lose strands before curving an arm around your waist. This - it is familiar, pleasant but you find yourself humming in content when a second arm comes to settle a little below your boyfriend’s, Namjoon slotting in behind you, lips soft as he places a chaste kiss to your shoulder.  

“Sleep,” Taehyung rumbles, “we’ll talk tomorrow.”

You feel Namjoon nod and it is there you allow yourself to drift into sleep, knowing that come tomorrow a discussion will need to be had but some part of you knows it will not be an unpleasant one.

It’s such a nice and soft cool-down from all of the previous events and I think you wrapped it up perfectly. I wish I was able to have her life because honestly, I stopped counting how many orgasms she had after the fourth and just let everything sink in and it was just beautiful. Taehyung and the main character have such a nice relationship. It’s fluid and the level of trust along with it is so nice to see. I think Namjoon being in the mix will strengthen things further between all of them, so I’m wishing these characters the best.
