I personally prefer both, because it kinda gives u the opportunity to make deeper scenes with added layers of mixed emotions.

It perhaps give them a whole new symbolism in my conception, but it's also open to you, sweetie;

(I always feel like I'm giving some kind of strict rule when speaking about writing and specially these topics, because I feel I'm cutting off people's ideas and also their ways of interpreting a few things).
