hello! I just wanted to say I Adore your art style- you always make Andy’s hair so light and flowy! And you draw expressions so well! It’s genuinely really nice and fun to look at! And you just put in so much detail in every single panel I’m stunned! (I would be more specific but I don’t. Want to turn this into an essay lol-) and the backstory leading up to this is really cool! I just can’t wait to see where you take this! (But also like- take your time! All amazing things are worth waiting for and breaks are important! Safety first!)

The nice thing about drawing a lineless style is that I don’t have to worry about making clean lineart & coloring in those lines - that saves me a LOT of time. I do take days off, & have work or just daily life to give me mental breaks from the comic (though I often get story ideas as I go about my day lol) Also, to be completely transparent, I gave myself a generous head start lol, allowing me to work at a more relaxed pace. 🩵🌧️ (lol, yeah, if it weren’t for my friends there, I might’ve just moved here - IG < Tumblr)

Just me sharing what I think is under our train twin’s hats, & making a case that I don’t think Ingo is quite as bald as the internet thinks he is, even if I style it differently (he just had a bad haircut in Legends Arceus, & had let it grow out again over 2 years lol).

Maybe it’s being in my mid-30’s, I thought it funny how the internet fixated on Ingo’s receding hairline, but say nothing about Larry’s (my all-time favorite Elite 4 member himself who also has a high hairline). Then I thought about why, & came to this conclusion. Also gave me an excuse to draw the everyday businessman again lol. ☁️ 

small correction!

So, a commenter on my Instagram candidly (yet kindly!) pointed out that I recently made a bit of a blunder - I mistakenly put little Rain down as an emotional support PKMN (ESP) in my PKMN Black post about Ansy’s first Unovan adventure, when she’s actually more of service PKMN.

It’d been a looong time since I‘d looked into getting a one myself (never did, couldn’t afford one 😅), & going from my memory, I thought service animals trained specifically for more emotional / mental health ailments & disabilities were still considered “emotional support”, when in truth, emotional support animals, while they can be medically prescribed, don’t receive special training - like, your every day pet can be one (see chart below)

I’m very sorry to anyone who has a service animal or ESA - absolutely did not mean to spread misinfo about it. Hope this makes it right. 🥲 I’ve seen service animals in red as well as blue vests (as well as ESA’s in blue as well as red) so I’m a bit confused which is the right one. I’m just going say, “in the Pokemon world, they wear blue.”

PS: Rain doesn’t wear a vest anymore as a Vaporeon, & is considered a retired service PKMN.

PPS: someone actually told me the vest color doesn’t matter & can even be custom. The more you know! 🌈🌟

DxP cast final draft (lol)

Sort of another “pardon our dust” post - I was gonna wait until Chapter 2 to share this, but I figured “why not” & updated the character profiles of the main cast of DxP REWRITE one more time.

Each of them got new artwork (I’d gotten so much practice drawing them in the comic that I felt I could do better than the first drafts) as well as a cleaner design with a little more info. Also, there’s been a little rearranging on teams:

For Ansy, she has her Castform Sora since I just learned you can indeed have Castform in Sinnoh! For Emmet & Ingo, thanks to this very fun Sword / Shield Submas run I’m playing where I nicknamed all their Pokémon after rail terms, I decided to nickname their DxP teams, too! I did look up most these terms online, so my apologies to rail fans if I didn’t do as well as I could’ve lol. 😅
