this is exactly why we NEED public libraries, because they attract people like you to work at them for the good of everybody Never, ever let anybody tell you not to read a book. if you want to read, read it. find out why they told you not to, and then talk to your librarian about it

Music history is absolutely fascinating to me, and I love looking at both what was remembered and what was forgotten, as well as why. Things like Mozart, as generic as it sounds by our standards today, were drastically different to what was around at the time, and so it was remembered because it stood out. Things like the evolution of rock as a genre and how it shifted between generations fascinates me.
Which is why elitism pisses me off so, so much. Not just because it's stuck up gatekeeping, but because it's so, so ignorant of what music really is.
"Art Music" isn't a real thing, and you can't just decide what is and isn't music based on completely subjective values. You like classical, orchestral music? Okay, that's fine. Doesn't make your music better than the rest.
Music is the people, and people are the music. It always reflects something, so trying to tell people that what reflects them isn't real music is just so... Cruel.
Telling people that their enjoyment is wrong will always be a bad thing, but attacking something so human as *music* will ALWAYS make me despise you.
Keep music free, enjoy what you feel, and don't listen to the ignorant elitists telling you that their favourite is the only right thing to enjoy

This is exactly how rain world happened. You stupid fucks better not ask the question now, lest we get our answer eventually
