civilian AU where soap consistently frequents this one flower shop after he had very quickly gained a crush on the owner, ghost, after the first time he visited.

originally, he’d just gone in for one bouquet, something for his sister’s wedding—but then he sees tall, blond, and mysterious behind the counter, gets obsessed with the delicate way such large hands wrap and trim flowers, and decides then and there that he has to win this guy over.

so soap starts coming back. makes up excuses for occasions needing flowers (his wallet is not all that happy about it, but he doesn’t care), then returns either later in the day or the day after to say plans fell through, then offer the flowers to the man—simon, his name tag says—because he knows there’s no refunds.

at first, soap is pretty certain simon just recycles the bouquets and arrangements. sticks a discount on them and calls it a day.

but then soap notices a vase, tucked out of sight unless you were standing right at the counter—a vase, of which, starts containing the bouquets that soap returns.

soap starts leaving little notes hidden in the flowers, then, and they start talking more, and it all comes to a head when soap finally decides fuck it, a just goes for it.

over the course of a few months, he’d sneakily gotten simon to tell him all his favourite flowers. so, soap goes in one day as usual, picks them out, and waits for his arrangement.

simon looks a bit crestfallen when he asks the occasion, and soap tells him it’s for a date. but soap is then relishing in the blush that spreads across simon’s face the moment soap hands the flowers right back, and asks him to dinner.

obviously soap doesn’t stop buying him flowers after that. but at least now he didn’t have to make excuses—and it makes his heart flutter every time he walks into the shop, now that simon has begun leaving soap’s bouquets out in their vase on full display for everyone to see.

Nowadays movies can cost millions and have the most state of the art effects in the world and still not hold a candle to an 80s movie with a budget of $20 and a few pieces of cardboard and slime because they don't have the earnest whimsy and sincerity to make me believe, they don't trust their own storytelling prowess or the audience's ability to suspend disbelief and fill in the gaps

A: "do you have everything packed?"

A: "and that would be?"

-yes, price Does know of her existence, has only met her a handful of times. That being said, price is the Only one who knows, so imagine the 141’s surprise when mini-ghost walks in and big ghost gives no context. Soap especially, he was freaking the fuck out.

-does ghost keep her secret bc of safety and his own family history? Most likely. Though the secret second reason is because he has a reputation to uphold and wraith would shatter it immediately upon meeting with the 141.

Made some custom play sheets for myself and my younger bros who are going to join me on our first ironsworn campaign together!

Needed something more simple than the official ones considering some of my brothers are quite a bit younger and character sheets can get pretty overwhelming for them. But also I had a blast making these, I’ve only ever altered character sheets b4, for the same reason, little bros don’t need all that.
