“Yeah it’s a game with a big plastic tube that you poke a bunch of sticks through, and on top of the sticks are marbles and-”

“Oh! Yeah I know that one!”

“Okay well, that’s what is inside my head. The marbles are my ability to do something, they’re all labeled stuff like buy groceries, or go to the doctor, or just whatever. I have to find the right sticks to pull out so that I can let the marble through that has the task I need. A lot of the times I can pull sticks and nothing happens, but if I pull too many all of the marbles come flooding out at once and it’s Bad and just... I cant do anything anymore. 

And it’s frustrating because if I am really clever about pulling sticks I can let single marbles through for a good while but eventually there just aren’t enough sticks to hold back the flood and they all come crashing down and then I’m out of commission until I can put the game back together again.”

It’s true! Though, perhaps a bit misleading. They both agree that their currency’s value should be backed by gold, but storks prefer a monometallic standard with solely gold, whereas cranes insist a bimetallic exchange standard with silver is much more preferable.
