when haji’s family arrives, they bring some gifts like their family adobo, wine, and soda.

this is your typical 'asahi knows how to braid hair hc' but let me finish!!! Tanaka, however, is an expert hair stylist since he asked Saeko how to do hair once you joined the team (and for Kiyoko's luscious hair) and has even offered to cut your hair once. you politely decline.

At a team sleepover, you do a clothing swap with Kageyama on a dare. He was wearing just your basic plaid pajama pants and t-shirt, and you were wearing a crop top, hoodie, and some shorts. After wearing your crop top, he realizes he likes the style and mobility so he asks you to help him buy more or cut his shirts with him. Everyone agrees that he pulls them off better than you do :/

However! Ukai can tolerate a lot of other music and will even hum to himself while watching you and the boys. One time, you and Nishinoya caught him dancing in the supply closet and he made you run so many laps the next day 😍😍😍

During scrimiges, Asahi gets really nervous standing behind you because he doesn't want you to feel uncomfortable, or that he's staring at you ass. So whenever you rotate and he goes to the back row he always shuffles away from you and makes sure not to stare.

another team game that was started was “catch”, where you run up to someone and yell catch, and they have catch you. nishinoya started it with you, but the everyone just loves carrying you around when you jump up

Yamaguchi becomes one of your confidants because of his incredible ability to keep secrets. You two absolutely LOVE little gossip during breaks or after practice. Not necessarily bad gossip, mostly just little jabs at friends or eachother. But you both know its all jokes

speaking of gossipers, ennoshita is probably the worst out of all of them. he always knows what is going on socially, even if he prefers to just keep to his small group

“Daddy, today at school, I get to be the line leader,” Kiyoomi’s daughter babbled happily. Line leader was important business, and she took her job quite seriously. Humming, he separated her tight curls— ones that look strikingly similar to his— down the middle, parting them for her signature pigtails.

“Is that so, butterfly?” She was his little butterfly. Kiyoomi had never seen so many butterfly themed things in his life, not until his daughter came along, two purple butterfly clips in her hair always, a room painted with them all over her wall, her folders and notebooks littered with stickers. But if she likes them, he’d keep buying them.

“Mhm! And guess what? Tomorrow, the butterflies my teacher grew in her classroom are gonna be big enough to set free! ‘M gonna see them fly, daddy!” He chuckled at her excitement. Sometimes, he wondered when the day he’d have to set his own little butterfly free would come, watching her fly away as she discovered the world on her own. The thought made his heart squeeze, and Kiyoomi was reminded how fast things really changed, how quick time really passed, and how big his daughter had truly gotten.

He remembers changing her into her cute pink pajamas, tickling her tummy before bed time, smiling at her as she giggled. She couldn’t talk back then, so he did most of the talking. He’d tell her about his day, how practice had run a bit extra, how you’d be home soon from the grocery store, how he hopes you’ll bring sweets back, how his car was making that funny noise again. And then, with a bright smile and a crinkled eyes, he’d sit in his little white chair, set up right next to her crib, and he’d rock her back and forth. Putting her to sleep was his favorite activity. He always stole turns from you, always played dirty if it meant he’d get to watch her eyes slowly close shut, body curling up against his chest.

But then, in the blink of an eye, the crib was gone, and the white chair was moved to the attic, and now she had a small bed with bright pink sheets. No more putting her to sleep with gentle humming. Now, bedtime consisted of story time, and Kiyoomi always had to tell himself that this time for real, he’d only stick to one. But he never did, she was too good at pleading, and her face was too good for the world to be pouting like that— much like yours— so he gave her two stories.

Now she was old enough to read the books by herself, she didn’t need him to read them to her anymore, didn’t get to giggle at his silly voices, didn’t look over his arm at the pictures, pointing out her favorite details. Now she sat and read them by herself.

But she still needed him. Kiyoomi was a master of putting butterfly clips in her pigtails, he was very proud of his abilities— she didn’t like the way you did them as much. He was going to drag this one out for as long as he could, the butterfly clips would come to an end soon too, and he had grown quite fond of this little routine.

“Well, won’t you miss them when they’re gone?” She pondered his question for a moment before shaking her head.

“No, we’re getting ladybugs next!” With a soft smile, he leaned down, kissing the top of her head gently. Spinning her around to face him on his lap, he pinched her nose gently, making her giggle. “Daddy, wanna match with me?”

“Match how?” She gave him a bright grin, reaching for her extra clips.

“Wanna wear butterflies with me? You’ll be pretty during practice,” she offered him. He didn’t have it in him too say no. Soon, she’d be forgetting all about her precious butterfly clips, and Kiyoomi would be left the task of disposing of them, just like he did with the pink pajamas, and the white chair, and the books she didn’t read anymore. This, he thought, he’d indulge in for as long as he could drag it out.

“Sure, butterfly. Let’s match.” With a happy squeal, she got to work, tongue sticking out as she grabbed a tiny fistful of his hair, tugging a bit too roughly as she twisted the clips over them, but he didn’t say anything. He was too busy watching her eyes glow.

All too quickly, she was done, staring at her handy work with pride.

“I’m done! You look pretty, daddy!”

“As pretty as you?” She shook her head.

“No, I’m prettier.” Chuckling, he kissed her nose, making her scrunch it the way you always did.

“You’re right, you’re the prettiest. I love you, butterfly.”

“I love you too,” she said instantly.

You watched from the doorway, heart bursting from the seams, a soft smile tugging on your lips. Fatherhood looked good on Kiyoomi, you thought, and even if his little butterfly would grow up some day, his love would stay the same.
