Die alte Landungsbrücke in Swakopmund, meist als Jetty bezeichnet, ist ein ehemaliger Schiffsanleger (Seebrücke) im Südatlantik im heutigen Namibia. Sie stammt aus der deutschen Kolonialzeit Deutsch-Südwestafrikas. Seit 2010 befindet sich am Ende das gleichnamige Restaurant "Jetty 1905".
The old jetty in Swakopmund, usually referred to as Jetty, is a former jetty (pier) in the South Atlantic in what is now Namibia. It comes from the German colonial period in German South-West Africa. At it´s end the restaurant of the same name, "Jetty 1905", has been located since 2010.
The Fish River Canyon (Afrikaans Visrivier Afgronde, German: Fischfluss Canyon), is located in the south of Namibia. It is the largest canyon in Africa and, behind the Grand Canyon, the second largest in the world. It features a gigantic ravine, in total about 100 miles (160 km) long, up to 27 km wide and in places almost 550 meters deep.
Der Fischfluss-Canyon (english Fish River Canyon, afrikaans Visrivier Afgronde) liegt im südlichen Namibia. Er ist mit etwa 160 Kilometer Länge, bis zu 27 Kilometer Breite und bis zu 550 Meter Tiefe der größte Canyon Afrikas und gilt nach dem Grand Canyon als zweitgrößter Canyon der Erde.
