My Heart at Peace

It has been a while since I posted on Tumblr. Having read my old posts, I wanted to write an update on how I have been feelings. My life is not perfect and may never be. But I have a newfound peace in my heart since I have entrusted my life in God’s hands. I have no interest in pursuing skills or careers only for the sake of earning a lot of money. I have no interest in taking control of my life. I feel like I would just dig a deeper hole for myself. Yes, I am working and making a decent income, but I aspire to understand what God’s intentions and plans are for me. I don’t want to take 100 steps back by being in control of my own life. So, I have given God complete authority over my life. It feels good considering interesting things have happened during the course of my intimate relationship with God. Of course, there will be times when I don’t want to read His Word or pray, but that’s the devil trying to stop me from my loyalty to the Lord. I am thankful that slowly my depression is going away, and outlook on life has changed. 

Don’t forget kiwis and pineapples :P

As a society valuing convenience over experience is why everything sucks today. Blockbuster was an EXPERIENCE. the movie theater was an EXPERIENCE. Music stores were an EXPERIENCE. Arcades were an EXPERIENCE. I don’t want to sit in my house forever!!!!! I don’t want everything streamed to my electronics!!!!! I want to sit in front of the big silver screen for 2 hours with a coke freeze and come out with my life changed!!!! I want to live and I don’t care the cost!!!!!!

A blissful morning

So far I am enjoying my day off and just wanted to share the little things that I enjoy doing as soon as I wake up. They might seem little and not extravagant, but these things help me relax, slow down and enjoy every minute of my morning. 

Reading 1 chapter of the Bible, making a small balanced breakfast (toast, banana and a mug of green tea), and finally writing a journal entry, or prayer to God while listening to some jazz. Yup, that’s it, nothing more. I am just in a state of appreciation and relaxation that I wanted to share my simple morning routine.
