She hands her heart to people carelessly.And yet leaves the world outside her heart.

It's not her thick hide,

It's how thin it is, that makes her indestructible. 

How can someone give everything 

And not get anything back.

Maybe that's the 'happily ever after' there is. 

You Can Open Yr Eyes, Now

I’ve had so many people—  so many places, things, loves murdered by an affection that wasn’t really there.  We always seem to eventually destroy ourselves. & i’ve wished so many times i could take it all back.  Reiterate every stutter from the insides of my cheeks if i could just see you again,  how furious i would become. Because this world isn’t as damned as you  desperately know it is. You’ve wished so badly to be beautiful— do you know how many boring beautiful people i’ve known? Because the world isn’t as sad  as the thoughts shared by all its inhabitants. You’ve wished so badly to be somebody else—  when you don’t even know who you actually are. Because the world isn’t as fucked  as the traces of blood around yr arms. You’ve wished so badly for someone to fall in love with you. Yet you think the world can only be in love with thigh gaps and blonde flawlessness and yesterdays filled with things you’ll never hold yrself.  —I’ve never fallen in love with a face.
