Today is the first anniversary of October 7th, and honestly I don’t know what to say. I’m currently watching a special broadcast where they’re reading each and every name of the fallen people

I can’t articulate how surreal this feels. I’m just wishing for the release of all of the hostages 🎗️

finally reached out to my local hillel to ask if i could attend their rosh hashanah seder and i was so nervous that i drafted out my message on a piece of paper first. they literally responded to me within a minute saying they would love to have me and that i’m welcome at any future shabbos dinners

today i learned that when you’re eating a bagel, you should say hamotzi before cutting it, and then take a bite after putting your toppings on. even though this causes a delay between blessing and bite, the delay is permitted because eating the first bite of bread with tasty condiments honors the bracha!

made new friends at the rosh hashanah seder last night (!!!!) and one of them asked me if i was at all connected with the frum community in our area. i was so excited and said i had no idea there was a frum community!!

turns out the frum community is me and four other people 😭😭😔
