can you imagine how freaky shark mermaids would be like unlike sharks, shark mermaids would have actual arms/hands and could rely on touching things with their hands to see if they’re prey rather than having to bite like sharks do. like youre just swimming in the ocean and suddenly you feel a strong grip on your leg, you freak the FUCK out because uh what????? the fuck??? youre swimming alone in the ocean??

I feel like after the movie instead of Leo being reckless with the safety of the team now, he’s instead reckless with the safety of himself. He’s a better leader now sure, but he keeps taking heavy hits for his brothers, making sure he’s the last one out during a dangerous situation. He puts his family first 100% but at the same time is like really bad at self care

His bros would be so tired of it, like they just almost lost him to the prison dimension and he keeps pulling these stunts and putting himself in danger for them. They would have to be like “Leo if you don’t stop with this self sacrificial nonsense right now—“

Spoilers ahead for seasons 1 & 2

So we have confirmed in the episode Lair Games that Donnie is Mikey’s 2nd favorite brother and Raph’s 3rd favorite. Which by probability would mean Donnie is likely Leo’s 1st favorite brother, however if probability isn’t enough for you I will present more evidence. 

In the Battle Nexus New York episode when the crab man insults his brothers Leo only announces to defend Donnie’s honor. In the episode the Hidden City Job Leo is constantly bringing up stories about him and Donnie specifically (along with the reason he’s even at Run of the mill pizza being a fight he had with Donnie). But what really seals the deal for me and hopefully you as well is in the episode Portal Jacked which also gives us the rest of Leo’s ranking list (most likely at least). See Leo famously says:

 “I need my brainy guy, and my smashy guy and my eats peanut butter with his fingers guy!”  

Now I find it would make sense that Leo would likely list his brother in order of favorite to 3rd favorite (no one is least favorite here just some one has to be 3rd lmao) which would make Leo’s final ranking list as follows

Whew! Okay one brother down 3 to go! Now for the rest of these I’m going to base them more on character interaction and character personalities rather than actual quotes like with Leo. So now we move on to Raph! 

Like I already stated Donnie is canonically 3rd!

Now based on Raph’s excessive protectiveness and fretting I have a feeling that Mikey is his 1st favorite brother. Not to mention with how much the two seem to be in proximity to each other. Which leaves Leo in 2nd and I have a feeling he’s there because Leo’s jokester/ laid back attitude in every situation gets under Raph’s skin not to mention he, like Donnie pulls Middle Child Nonsense™ so this puts him lower than Mikey who is the baby and can do no wrong. Now while I don’t have to reason Donnie being 3rd because it is canon I think it’s likely because of that Middle Child Nonsense™, not to mention Donnie and Raph are pretty opposite. Brain vs. Brawn, Not Touchy vs. Very Touchy (I mean Raph loves teddy bears to cuddle meanwhile Donnie tolerates hugs guys lol) Which means Raph’s final ranking list is!!

Next up is Mikey! Little baby boy! Now Mikey also has a canon ranking already as I said above with Donnie in 2nd place!

Now like I said for Raph’s, Mikey and Raph are in close proximity to each other a lot and while this could be just Raph hovering, Mikey also seems to be quite touchy with Raph which leads me to believe that Raph is Mikey’s 1st favorite. Not to mention there is something about the two who wear warm colors who also have really warm cuddly personalities getting along the best seems rather fitting. Which leaves Leo in 3rd! I would like to reiterate here that this doesn’t mean that 3rd place is hated or that 3rd place doesn’t get along/hang out with the ranker! Obviously all the turtles get along and love each other it just means that of their brothers some click a little better than others! I’m getting way too analytical about this lmao 

ANYWAY!

Finally we get to my favorite purple boy! (Can you tell I like Donnie by how completely extra this fucking post is with all it’s ramblings on reasoning for my rankings? lol) So Donnie! My emotionally unavailable bad boy (she said y’know like a liar) Now I am all about symmetry and also I am not willing to have one turtle not get a first place ranking! Which means Leo is going to get Donnie’s first place ranking but this also makes sense to me! I mean they’re the Disaster Twins™ and even putting away that fanon idea. Leo and Donnie are; the same age, both middle children, and spend WAY too much time insulting each other for that not to be mutual favoritism. Plus again I find it satisfying that the two cool color coded characters (try saying that 5 times fast) with the more witty, sarcastic personalities are each other’s favorite. It pleases my brain okay!! Moving on! I feel that the same reasoning applies to Raph as for why Donnie is likely 3rd on Raph’s list. I mean I can’t even think of an episode with just Raph and Donnie? Like I can think of ones with just Donnie and Leo, Donnie and Mikey, Donnie and April, but not Donnie and Raph?? They’re just very different which leaves each of them in 3rd place on each other’s lists.

Which leaves Mikey! He is 2nd on Donnie’s list and my reasoning is well like I just said, I can think of at least one episode with just Donnie and Mikey, ex: Repo Mantis so that gives Mikey a leg up on Raph not to mention Mikey seems to appreciate Donnie’s inventions, gives out praise (I mean Mikey was proud of an empty sewer tunnel when the tank was stolen guys, and we all know how much Donnie craves praise), Mikey also seems to know how to get through to Donnie when he’s maybe being a bit obtuse *cough* parenting SHELLDON *cough* anyway to round off this extremely long and excessive post here is Donnie’s final ranking list

I understand if you disagree! These lists could easily be ordered differently if you prefer a certain brother dynamic (e.g. Disaster Twins, etc) I'm just on a ROTTMNT after the movie came out and when rewatching Lair Games I spotted that little sub line and couldn't get it out of my brain so enjoy this long winded post for what it is lmao.

A headcanon about Leo not being a fan of the cold at all (ft. Donnie who also isn't a fan, but can tolerate just a tad bit more)
