🎀✨Day 41: I've been wearing my soul gem more often instead of just having it near me, and sensing witches feels so weird. Powerful witches can feel similar to getting a cut right on your fingertips instead of somewhere with less nerves if you understand what I mean. ⏱💣I made a priorities list so I would stop forgetting to do magical work, drawings for IRL mahoutober, and more. I also figured out that if I tell myself I'll only draw a line for one drawing, I end up getting sucked in and doing lots of work on it. It's a good strategy! 💐☕I'm going to make witch logs which explain the events that happened during a witch hunt and details of the witch. The reason I am deciding to do this is that fighting witches just got interesting, and I have some tea to spill. I'll have to make witch logs of the witches I fought before this one, but the interesting one will be witch log 4. I know I haven't been keeping up with my duties. I could sense all of negative energy. But I've been trying to find the sigils and fight them. 🎧🌊I feel like as a magical hero, you protect a lot of people, but who is there to protect you? I understand Mami Tomoe a lot better now. This fourth witch messed with my head more that I ever expected a witch to... 🍎📿I played Royale High a while ago, and I was able to make my character look just like me! ^_^

I usually only clean my soul gem right before fighting a witch, but I think that's a very good idea. I will clean mine now.

🎀✨Day 38: It's been two months since I contracted and become a magical girl. It's a bit hard to keep up with school and magic at the same time. ⏱💣I've collected many sigils, but I've only fought two witches. I currently have two witch sigils (one, which is too powerful to fight on my own), two familiar sigils, and another witch sigil that I shouldn't fight because they're in another territory and that would be rude (I only wrote it down for practice). There's also one near my house, but it's hard to get the sigil without being suspicious. At this point, I'm worried the familiars have turned into witches by now. 💐☕I prioritize fighting witches over familiars because of their higher danger level, but as a result, I've never actually fought a familiar before (I know that's not saying much considering I haven't even fought many witches, but still). 🎧🌊I've always wondered how many grief seeds a puella magi would have on hand at any given time. I assumed it would be only one, if any. I currently have two grief seeds that are completely empty, and I used one up fully. I noticed they tend to have three uses even if you feel like your soul gem was more or less cloudy then usual. It all evens out I guess. 🍎📿Also, for what sensing witches feels like, and what it's like to find sigils, I sensed a witch at school, but since it takes a few minutes to get the sigil down correctly, I stayed there during lunch to make sure I'd have enough time to get it right. While I stayed right at the labyrinth's entrance, I could feel overwhelming negative energy, and it just felt like bad emotions and like it was harder to breathe and think there. If you leave your soul gem far away, you don't really feel that anymore. I've used that trick whenever I was "off duty" because I don't like the way sensing witches makes me feel. As for sigils, you kind of get visuals in your head just by being near them, but it's hard to "detangle" the lines in my mind, so it always takes a bit. There was one really powerful witch I mentioned earlier. The way I know they're powerful without fighting them is that I could strongly sense them a block away, but most witches are harder to sense that strongly that far away.

Sigil/witch's Kiss experiment.

I wondered what effect drawing or carving a witch's sigil into something would have, so I have tested it out. Here is what I have found. Disclaimer: Don't do this. Keep in mind, I drew it myself instead of being kissed by a witch, and I am a puella magi, so it might not affect me the same way it would a civilian or even a magi from another concept. I drew the sigil of a witch I have not fought on my hand with a washable marker. Here is what I noticed happening in mostly chronological order:

I suddenly felt safe around witches instead of feeling awful.

I felt like I was somehow doing something right, but at the same time, I felt like I wasn't completely in control of myself.

I felt similar to how I did when I became a magical girl, but if the sigil was the soul gem. There was that empty feeling, but more like I was a reanimated corpse, which is fair, I guess.

I started having negative thoughts I never had before.

I kept having thoughts that weren't my own that were telling me things about how the witch is "safe" and "home".

I got dazed and kept feeling like I was going to go unconscious.

I had thoughts/urges to rip my soul gem off and throw it away.

I also had thoughts of harming the people around me.

When thinking about defeating the witch, I found I had none of that natural urge to do so that being a puella magi gives you. I thought about it, and I don't think I would be willing to fight the witch at all if I had the sigil on. They felt like my allies at that point.

Day 40 <3

🎀✨Day 40: It's my birthday today! It's also Madoka Kaname's birthday! I'm 17 now. It feels like just yesterday I was 15. Or 14 or 12. Actually, it's a little hard to remember my age ahaha! ⏱💣I have so many unfinished guides in my drafts! I really have to finish those! There are currently around 10. 💐☕Speaking of finishing things, I really need to clean some things up on this blog. Or at least make sure links are all updated. 🎧🌊I'm planning on participating in Mahoutober, but I am a bit late, and I take a bit to finish drawings, so I might be late on every prompt, but I will try to do them all, even if it extends into November! 🍎📿I love writing stories so much. Maybe someday I will write a story from the perspective of a magical girl. It might make it easier to understand what it's like to be one, since I doubt I'm very descriptive on this blog.
