Marah @freepaleatine95 Is A Hardworking Computer Science Student Who Has Been Helping To Fundraise For

Marah @freepaleatine95 is a hardworking computer science student who has been helping to fundraise for her family for months, from the scorching dry season into the equally horrifying wet season. Her family has been displaced eight times and her parents are both elderly, sick with high blood pressure and untreated diabetes.
As a university student, Marah should be able to continue her studies and achieve her degree in computer science, experiencing the joy of the new school year along with the rest of the world. However, due to the ongoing attacks on Gaza, this has become impossible for her, and her family's livelihood was completely destroyed.
In the Gaza strip where they live, fearsome rains have begun to signal the beginning of winter. We were warned about this, and now it is beginning. The damage that these rains do to the displaced people of Gaza is absolutely astronomical.
The rains destroy tents, food, and clean water, and they also introduce terrifying diseases to people who are already struggling to survive.
Everything that would be safely managed in a normal situation is going wrong now, with flooding sewers, the spread of deadly diseases like polio, and the destruction of property everywhere, property that with the astronomically high prices of food and tents in Gaza is almost impossible to replace.
This is not a hypothetical situation. This is really happening.
Marah and the rest of the Baalousha family have experienced these rains tearing their tent apart, destroying their food and making them scared for their lives. This happened only three days ago on September 22nd, 2024, and this incident has hurt them horribly.
Many of the items that they have purchased with the help from your donations were destroyed as well. Their tent was flooded and they were left cold, hungry, and terrified.
Now, in a time defined by uncertainty, they need to be certain they will survive.
Let’s donate, share, and make sure that Marah and the rest of her family can buy a new tent, evacuate, and continue pursuing their studies with the rest of the students of the world. They deserve the right to safety, shelter, food, and water just like the rest of us. Despite fundraising for months, Marah is not even close to her goal- and you can help change that, one little bit at a time.
Please, help Marah and her family by taking a few minutes out of your day to donate, share, and support their campaign.
Marah’s family’s campaign has been verified as legitimate here.

🇵🇸 Help Marah's family restore their lives!
I want to introduce you to the Baloushaa family, who are currently living in Gaza. The family lived in a beautiful house, and Mahmoud owned a shoe store that was doing well. Marah (@freepaleatine95) was studying computer engineering at Al-Azhar University, a subject she has a lot of interest and passion in. Mahmoud's business was successful and Marah's studies were going excellently. Their parents were proud of them for all they accomplished, and they had great dreams for their futures.

But even before the recent aggression starting on October 7th, this family had experienced profound loss. They lost their older brother in 2006, a stark reminder that the violence inflicted on Palestinians did not start within the past year, but has been a continued effort to wipe out their people. With the most recent escalation in violence, this family has been forced to experience loss again. They lost the beautiful house they lived in, and they lost the kittens that they cared for dearly. Mahmoud's business was destroyed as well as Marah's University and their lives have been frozen.

The picture above is their current living situation, they are trying to survive without proper shelter, exposed to the weather and illnesses. Their mother and father both suffer from diabetes, and their father has high blood pressure, the medicine for which is near impossible to obtain in Gaza. As winter approaches and the temperature drops, they will need proper clothing, blankets, and a heater. Their ultimate goal is to move the family to Egypt so they can access proper care for their parents, Marah can continue university, and they can rebuild their lives.

Please help us get our lives back
My name is Marah, an aspiring computer engineering student. I dreamed of completing my studies and working in the field that I love. She enjoys spending long hours studying.
But the war deprived me of my ambitions
And my dreams and my studies
My university was demolished, as was my home

I no longer have any dreams or ambitions
Your help may restore hope in completing my studies abroad

Any donation could make a difference in our lives and give us hope

Help Mahmoud Baalou save his living family members from Gaza!

[Image description: a screeshot of a tumblr ask sent by user @freepaleatine95. It contains the following text. Hello dear, I am from the Baalousha family from Gaza. I hope you are well. I write to you with a heart full of hope and faith, and I ask for your urgent help. My family is in great danger due to the war, and I am running a fundraiser campaign to save them. My father and mother suffer from diabetes and high blood pressure. Help me secure them. Please, can you reblog my campaign post on my account? Every participation can make a difference in my family's life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help you can provide. End description]
Mahmoud Baalou is running a fundraiser, which has been vetted by @/90-ghost, to get his living family members out of danger. His mother has diabetes and his father has both diabetes and high blood pressure, so it's really urgent that we can raise the funds to get them out. We have managed to raise $7,481 out of the $50,000 goal and there have been $70 raised in the last 24 hours, so we need to pick up the pace. Please boost this and donate if possible!
