Well, for VOID; pretty sure it's canon that both Dark Matter and Kirby come from them depending on what kind of energy is in the universe at a given time. Kirby is positivity given pure form while DM is the complete opposite of that. As for Gooey...

While Kirby is the perfect repellent of Dark Matter, it would be a horrible idea for either of them to try and absorb the other. For DM, that would be possessing and for Kirby, inhaling and copying.

Trying to combine positive and negative energy together would cause a paradox. it's like dividing by 0. You just shouldn't.

So instead of Kirby copying Dark Matter; Dark Matter, or better yet, what was left behind of the paradoxical event copied Kirby.

GemCYT side-group update

Sorry I haven’t posed in a while. I’ve gotten a good amount of positive feedback after my last post on my GemCYT thing, and I’m glad you guys loved it! I’ve been wanting to make more art of it, and I’ve got a good storyline blocked out, but I don’t have the time or commitment to make a full comic series and I don’t know which scenes to draw first. That begs the question…

Do you guys want me to start writing a fanfic of it? post your opinions as well as ideas for a name for this GemCYT sub-branch. (I’ll take any likes under this post as an immediate yes)

fun facts about GemCYT Sub-Zero Dan (Larimar/Blue Diamond)

I need to feed my followers with more stuff on this au while I get the 1st chapter out because I’m a procrastinator so here:

-Dan can shift between Larimar and Blue Diamond at free will (obviously.) That being said, Dan can and will shift into the other form by accident. He shifted into BD before in the Sub-Zero group’s rebel base, and the shift has an hour or so cooldown on average for him, so being the giant Diamond he was, he was stuck in that little space for a whole hour. Thankfully, nobody was there most of the time and the only person who saw this was Justin, who laughed his ass off before helping him get unstuck.

-Dan’s Larimar ice powers are mostly controlled, but they can sometimes be triggered emotionally or subconsciously. He will freeze up at any extreme emotion like sapphire.

-He can use Larimar powers in his diamond form, but not the other way around since his Larimar form can’t handle diamond powers.

-He has a cold immunity, but is more sensitive to heat.

-As much as he respects Rose Quartz or Lizzy as a rebel, he still fears her. She’s the one gem he won’t spar with because she will kick his ass and he knows.

-due to his gem being larger than everyone else, he’s by far the heaviest of the group, which baffles everyone because his gem looks small on the surface in his Larimar form.

-He didn’t know what sleep was until James (ThxCya) taught him. He tried it and was conked tf out for at least a day and a half.

-He can play acoustic guitar. James taught him and he’s basically a prodigy now.

-Dan doesn’t trust Squid (a Lapis) to carry him while he’s flying at all. Squid sometimes picks him up anyway just to screw with him.

-not so much when he’s a diamond, but as a Larimar he’s afraid of aquamarines. Yes that includes grain when they first met. (Context: they’re small and fly around and are harmful nuisances like vexes in Minecraft) (Gotta work in Dan’s MC Hardcore Vex death ptsd into every universe muahahahaha)
