🎄Merry Christmas🎄 and ✨happy holidays✨ to you all, hope everyone’s hands are warm. I have some Eskel Headcanons, here:

on a nice day with a hot sun and cooling breeze, Eskel will and has raced wild animals on Scorpion, it’s one of the only times he could give Scorpion a good gallop

When Eskel meditates, he purrs. He was always able to do that, sometimes it’s very soft and others it loud enough to be heard in the halls of Kaer Morhen

He is ridiculously good at sling shots, sometimes so good Geralt and Lambert don’t hear the shot and look like dorks trying to find out what the heck just hit them

The terrors during the trails scared all the kids, so Eskel would read to the boys when trails would go on, he remembered when Geralt told him one night it helped focus on something else

When short of coin, he probably helps the town mage to make up the coin he owes, or do some heavy town work, he’s good with healing and bits of building

He probably tells Geralt the same horse joke every year and still laughs at it with Geralt

Has earned the trust of a baby bear once, carried the bear after saving the mom from a trap, one of the best stories he likes to tell

Like Geralt talking to Roach, Eskel talks to trees, they’ve been around as long as he has, they’re great listeners

His happy place is in the mountains with lots of land and farm animals, breathing in the cold air in mornings and watching the sun hide behind the mountains at night, it what he thinks of during dark moment

Do you think the boys believe in Krampus?? Like it’s really silly to think of Geralt and Eskel retelling stories told to them by older(teen) Witcher’s about Krampus and scaring the rest of the boys. Truth be told they were also scared of Krampus too but they had reputations to uphold with the other small children there so they pretended they weren’t.

That is until one of the nights during the first snow storm of winter season, the boys help pull out home made candles to chat some more with older Witcher’s home for the rest, instreated by the stories they told, and are startled by the rattling of the keep doors. There was a snowstorm, so it wasn’t so scary. Then the doors really began to rattle, something maybe a snowstorm really couldn’t do, thought the two as Geralt and Eskel glanced at each other.

The older Witcher’s attention isn’t so disrupted but more of the younger boys give each other all looks in concern, Eskel scooting over and sitting closer to each other. After that, it was quiet and stayed that way until one of the instructors told the boys to let the wolves rest, they’ll be there in the morning, and they’re all sent to bed.

Cut to the room the boys are staying in, a large room with small beds inside of it all out of order and some crocked with day clothes scattered around. They had a few busy days before the older Witcher’s got home, and they prepared the keep and food for them, along with supplies for the next year on the path, so Geralt and Eskel and the other boys were out like a light.

Suddenly the sturdy wooden door is thrown against the wall with a loud thud that rumbles the room and shakes the beds, causing most of— if not all boys to jump up in surprise and only scream at what they saw at the door.

Krampus hismelf.

If anyone else was still asleep after the door, they were woken up by the startled screams of the children. Krampus reaches up quickly and pulled off what looks like a gigantic goats head and put it aside, revealing it’s dirty secret. When they saw it was Vesemir, they broke into tears after being scared and Eskel was the first to run to him for comfort, soon followed by more kids.

How it happened, was Vesemir was told by a younger kid(totally Lambert) about the stories of Krampus. This youngling was going off about how if he even tried coming to Kaer Morhen, it’d be over for that guy. Vesemir had some of the returning Witcher’s bring back supplies and by the end of the night after calming all the kids down and getting a good chuckle, it was very much all worth it.

Let’s make a list of things Jaskier does because of ADHD. This is coming from a person with adhd and anyone is free to add things, anyways—

Sometimes while walking, Jaskier could be talking about this amazing song he’s come up with and after taking a small pause he will forget whatever he was going to say and the topic he was just talking about

He may forget the face of someone or their name after just meeting them, but if you ask him about an historical event, he’ll go off

Don’t go to the market with Jaskier, because he’s very quick at planning on what things he needs and finding the fastest way to get to one tent to the other

(Geralt has lost him more than once)

He can also multi task very, very well. Geralt saw him having a conversation while writing a letter for someone else

But, if you give him anything to read like a book or contract, or have him count money, give him a second sometimes it takes reading it over and over again for him

Sometimes inside voices doesn’t exist for Jaskier

Before getting to talk to someone for contract information, Jaskier will do a shake down, just kind of shakes his head, shoulders, and hands

When he’s got a lot of energy inside, sometimes he’ll bounce his leg so hard he forces himself to stand up, walking around helps too

Another thing when he sits, he’s sometimes gets really happy or excited about playing, so he taps his feet(sometimes without realizing)

Geralt learns some very interesting facts about music and the instruments and history behind them, It’s one of Jaskier favourite topics to share

Along with music, he will also share, in detail, information about how boats stay afloat, what certain ropes are for, slang they use, etc.

He won’t share how or why he knows this.

What if Eskel was that uncle that was weird but everyone loves. Like Ciri had been completely fooled by the polite smile and manners, she once saw Eskel waving to his own imaginary crowd and swan dive onto Lambert, wrestle around a little bit and then threw him. He totally cheered himself on too.

Or she’s probably also seen Eskel in his trousers being followed by goats, his hair also has many tiny ponytails, and whenever one of his beloved goats yelled at him he just nods solemnly, “Yeah, I understand” or “oh I totally get it” are some of his answers to them.

I also would love to see the sibling rivalary between Geralt and Eskel, because Geralt maybe had told Ciri about how close him and Eskel are, so when she’s expecting to see them clap shoulders and share a brotherly moment, and not expecting to see Eskel walk up to Geralt and put a fishing hook in his cloak and begin running as fast as he could away from the others, well she’s very very surprised.

That but also some soft Eskel, like maybe the first few winters staying at Kaer Morhen, Ciri has some long lasting night terrors sometimes and if Geralt isn’t around, Eskel will scoop her up and hold her tightly against him to try and calm her back to sleep. He’ll read to her, softly sing songs his mother used to sing under his breath to Ciri, whatever she needs that he can give to her. He admits that seeing her cry like that reminds him of Geralt when they were younger, except now he can do stuff about it.

Idk, give me chaotic yet soft uncle Eskel, this man is bananas (b-a-n-a-n-a-s) and if you mix that with some soft stuff, it’s like the perfect smoothy.
