S.I. Third Shinobi World War

Chapter 3 : Searching for answers
Kohana couldn't make sense of the memories and sensations that flooded her mind.
Who was Haruno Kohana?
And why did she have memories from a different time and place?
It was all too much to process.
As she walked towards the nurse's office, she tried to focus on her mission: to keep Rin alive and prevent Obito from turning into a monster.
But even that seemed overwhelming now.
How could she possibly change the future when she didn't even understand what was happening to her?
When she arrived at the nurse's office, Rinka greeted her with concern. "Is everything okay, Kohana-san?"
"No,", Kohana admitted. "I'm just...I don't know what's going on with me."
Rinka nodded sympathetically. "It can be difficult adjusting to life as a ninja. But remember, you're not alone. We're here to help you."
Kohana appreciated Rinka's kind words but couldn't shake off the feeling that something bigger was at play here.
She needed answers, and fast.
But where would she even begin?
As she lay down on one of the beds in the nurse's office, Kohana closed her eyes and took deep breaths, trying to calm herself down. She couldn't afford to panic or lose control now; too much was at stake. She needed to stay focused on her mission and figure out what was happening to her before it was too late.
But for now, all she could do was rest and hope that things would become clearer soon enough.
Kohana's mind was still a jumbled mess as she lay on the bed, trying to make sense of everything that had happened.
She couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something more to her memories and sensations than just being a ninja.
As she closed her eyes and focused on her breathing, she tried to recall any details that might give her a clue as to who Haruno Kohana really was.
But all she could remember were flashes of people and places that seemed familiar yet distant at the same time.
It was frustrating, but Kohana refused to give up. She knew that if she wanted answers, she would have to keep digging until she found them.
Suddenly, a thought occurred to her - what if she asked her friends and family about her past? What if they could help her piece together the puzzle?
With renewed determination, Kohana sat up and looked at Rinka with newfound hope in her eyes. "Rinka-San that mind sounds strange but...can you tell me something about me?"
"Of course, Kohana-san," Rinka replied with a smile. "What would you like to know?"
Kohana took a deep breath before asking the question that had been weighing on her mind. "In your opinion who is Haruno Kohana?”
Rinka's eyes widened in surprise at Kohana's question. She hesitated for a moment before answering. "Haruno Kohana? That's your name, Kohana-san."
"I know that, but what is my character?”, Kohana frowned, feeling frustrated that she was not getting any closer to finding answers. “What are my good treats, what my bad treats, that kind of things."
The nurse looked thoughtful for a moment before responding. "Well, from what I've observed, you're very determined and focused when it comes to your studies. You're also very caring towards your friends and willing to do whatever it takes to protect them."
Kohana nodded, feeling somewhat satisfied with the answer. But she knew there had to be more to her than that.
She needed to keep searching for answers until she uncovered the truth about her past and the mysterious memories that plagued her mind.
With a newfound sense of purpose, Kohana got up from the bed and headed out of the nurse's office, ready to continue her quest for answers.
The school day was over and Kohana walked down the hallway, she felt a sense of determination wash over her.
She couldn't let these memories and sensations consume her any longer. She needed to take control of the situation and find out who she really was.
But where to start? She didn't even know where these memories were coming from or why they were haunting her now.
Then, an idea struck her - what if she consulted with the village elders? They had a wealth of knowledge and experience that could help shed light on her situation.
Suddenly new memories rushed her and they weren’t at all pleasing.
All about one of the village elders Shimura Danzo.
How he had a secret army named ROOT doing the dirty work for him...how he tried to prolong the third Shinobi World War!...how he was responsible that in the future the whole Uchiha-Clan would get massacres by the clan head oldest son!
The green-haired girl just leaned forward and threw up in disgust. Luckily she was already out of the academy, so no one would care if she vomited on the ground.
So, no, Danzo and the village elders couldn’t help her.
They were a problem that needed to be resolved.
It seemed like she had the whole world against her.
Kohana took a deep breath and tried to push the disturbing memories of Danzo and ROOT out of her mind. She couldn't let herself get sidetracked by their sinister agenda. She needed to focus on finding answers about her own past and the mysterious memories that plagued her.
But where else could she turn for help? Who else might have information about her past?
Suddenly, she remembered something - the library! The Konoha library was filled with books and scrolls that contained information about all kinds of subjects, including history and genealogy.
Perhaps there was something there that could shed light on her situation.
With renewed hope, Kohana headed towards the library, determined to find the answers she so desperately sought. As she walked through the aisles of books, she searched for anything that might give her a clue about Haruno Kohana or her mysterious memories. It was slow going at first, but eventually, she found a book titled "The Genealogy of Konoha's Shinobi."
As she flipped through the pages, Kohana felt a sense of excitement building within her. This book contained detailed records of every shinobi who had ever lived in Konoha, along with their family histories and other important details. Perhaps there would be something here that could help her uncover the truth about herself!
For hours, Kohana pored over the book's pages, taking notes and cross-referencing different names and dates. It was tedious work, but also incredibly rewarding - she was finally making progress in her quest for answers!
And then...she found it - a name that made everything click into place: Haruno Sakuya.
According to the book Haruno Sakuya was the clan head of the Haruno family during the Warring States area.
She wasn’t a ninja, but a Miko who was rumoured....to see in the future?!
Kohana couldn't believe what she was reading.
Was it possible that her mysterious memories were actually visions of the future?
And if so, what did that mean for her and her mission to protect Rin and prevent Obito from turning into a monster?
The implications were staggering, but Kohana knew one thing for sure - she needed to learn more about Haruno Sakuya and her history.
She found it in a little booklet. Long forgotten and dusty.
The young girl couldn't believe what she was reading. Haruno Sakuya, the clan head of the Haruno family during the Warring States era, was rumoured to have high-spirited energy and could seek Nature Chakra without Sage Mode, which gave her the power to see into the future.
She had aided the First and Second Hokage with her visions and had even foreseen Uchiha Madara's betrayal and the battle between him and Senju Hashirama.
But despite her knowledge, she couldn't prevent these events from happening.
Kohana sat back in awe as she absorbed this new information.
It seemed that her mysterious memories were actually visions of the future, just like those of Haruno Sakuya!
But what did this mean for Kohana's mission to protect Rin and prevent Obito from turning into a monster?
Was it possible that she too could change the course of history with her visions?
She continued ready.
The booklet talked about how Sakuya herself said that some things happened and couldn’t be changed, even if you tried hard enough.
That didn’t sit well with Kohana. She felt like her ancestor told her she couldn’t change faith.
“Oh we will see!”, she grumbled to the book.
Kohana would be damned if this terrible future happened!
Then came a part of the booklet that was supposed to be written by Sakuya herself. A part of a diary was found, yet the scholars couldn’t make sense of it.
With a beating heart, Kohana read the passage.
>>I tried my best, yet I failed. I thought our love was strong enough to not make Madara walk the same path he did in canon, but I was mistaken. Black Zetsu's influence is way stronger than shown in the manga. Why did I not connect earlier that the Ōtsutsuki are Isu’s! One part of the Isu’s managed not to get killed or banned into the Nexus, because they eat the God Fruits of the planets they come across. If I still was in my homeworld my assassin’s brother and sisters needed to hear this. Juno in her spectral form is already dangerous enough, but Isu who are flesh and blood? I’m beyond feeling scared, I’m terrified. Blasted artefact who sent me to this world! This Piece of Eden is more trouble than it’s worth it, but if I can’t change history now, I will do it again and the Piece of Eden will help me!<<
Still, Kohana sat there staring at the booklet, till the words became foggy before her.
What?
What the hell did she just read?
Was it really possible that her ancestor, Haruno Sakuya, had come from a different world?
And what was this talk of Isu and Pieces of Eden?
It all sounded like something out of a fantasy novel.
But if what she had read was true, then it meant that there was more to the world than she had ever imagined.
She needed to investigate further and find out everything she could about the Isu and their connection to the Ōtsutsuki.
Perhaps there were clues hidden in the village archives or in ancient texts that had been forgotten over time.
With a renewed sense of purpose, Kohana closed the booklet and stood up from her seat in the library.
She knew that her quest for answers was far from over, but now she had a new direction to follow - one that could change everything she thought she knew about herself and her mission as a ninja.
“Konoha-Chan are you sure you are up for training?”, asked Rin worried.
Luckily her little research in the library didn’t have made her late for the training session with Obito and Rin.
While the Uchiha warmed himself up, Rin checked on her.
“I know today was weird.”, Kohana admitted. “But I’m fine Rin-Chan, really. I promise I will stop if I feel sick.”
“Okay, if you say so.”
“Hey girls are you ready now?!”, called Obito eager over.
The three of them began their training session, but Kohana couldn't focus on the task at hand.
Her mind was still reeling from everything she had learned in the library.
She couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something big and dangerous lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike.
As they practised their jutsu, Kohana kept an eye out for any signs of danger or unusual activity. She knew that she couldn't let her guard down now - not when so much was at stake.
Yet despite her vigilance, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
The training session went smoothly, and before she knew it, it was over.
As they walked back towards the village, Rin turned to her with a smile. "You did great today, Kohana-chan! You're really improving."
Kohana smiled back weakly, still lost in thought about what she had learned in the library.
She needed to talk to someone about it - someone who might have more knowledge about the Isu and their connection to the Ōtsutsuki. But who could she turn to?
Maybe she should first learn more about Haruno Sakuya. It could be possible that her parents had some of her dairy or other things left behind by her ancestors.
Yes, this seemed to be the most logical step.
Haruno Sakuya was something real. Well, more real than whatever she had written in the snippet in the booklet.
Kohana made up her mind to talk to her parents about Haruno Sakuya and see if they had any information or belongings left behind by their ancestors.
She knew that it was a long shot, but she had to try.
As she entered her home, she was greeted warmly by her parents.
"Welcome home, Kohana-chan!”, called her Kaa-Chan. “How was your day?"
"It was good," Kohana replied with a smile. "Where is Kizashi-Nii?”
“Your brother is with his team aka. Mooning over Mebuki-Chan.”, chortle Oto-San.
The young girl couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Of course, her Nii-Chan would try to court his longtime crush now that they were back in the village for break, till they got out to the war front again.
Kohana sat down with her parents and explained everything she had learned about Haruno Sakuya.
For the time being she left out Isu, Ōtsutsuki and whatever Piece of Eden was.
Her parents listened intently, sadly they didn't seem to know much more than what was already written in the booklet.
However, they did mention that there might be some family heirlooms stored away in their attic that belonged to Haruno Sakuya.
Excited by this new lead, Kohana rushed up to the attic with her parents' permission. As she rummaged through old trunks and boxes, she finally found a small wooden box tucked away in a corner. With trembling hands, she opened it up and found an old diary inside.
She recognized the elegant handwriting as belonging to Haruno Sakuya. She knew that this diary could hold the key to unlocking even more secrets about her ancestor's past and the Isu.
Nervous she looked down at the diary.
This was a lead, why did she hesitate so much?
What made her so scared?
Maybe she had a feeling whatever was written in the diary would flip her whole world upside down.
Taking a deep breath she began to read.

Chapter 6: Hidden Blade
Kizashi was eating with gusto one of the fresh peaches their Kaa-Chan had bought today at the market, while he watched how his little sister Kohana turned their basement upside down.
“Again, explain to me what you are searching for, Imoto-Chan.”, he asked amused.
His little sister looked really funny full of cobwebs and dust.
“A family heirloom.”, was her short answer, opening another chest.
“What kind of family heirloom?”
“A weapon.”
“A weapon, interesting.”, the pink-haired young man bit into his peach. “What kind of weapon?”
Kohana stopped, and a little frown formed on her face.
“A...Hidden Blade.”
The older boy couldn’t help but snort.
“What by Kami is a Hidden Blade?”
“I will know when I see it.”, she barked at him, closing the chest and opening the next one.
Kizashi raised an eyebrow. Someone was grumpy.
“Imoto-Chan, what gave you even the idea that we have something like that?”
She paused and sent him a look.
“Can’t you annoy anyone else?”
“No, I wanna annoy you.”, he grinned cheeky, which made Kohana huff well annoyed.
She rather wished her brother be far away.
This was something important, she didn’t need his stupid commentary.
A few weeks had passed since she had become a Genin.
To her utter disappointment, the Ninja Life wasn't as glamorous as she imaged.
Besides training with Minato-Sensei and her teammates, which was awesome, the daily D-Rank Missions were absolutely horrible!
Painting fences, ripping out weed, babysitting, cleaning the Inuzuka kennels!
These were glorified chores, nothing more!
Obito and her were ready to burst, Rin tried to keep them calm and Kakashi seemed to have a sick satisfaction seeing them nearly lose it.
But the worst was the damn Tora-Mission!
If they had to catch that hellcat one more time, Kohana would lose it, she swore!
The only thing good was, like she said, the training Minato-Sensei made them go through.
Already Kohana felt much stronger. Obito and Rin also made great progress, Rin even started to learn medical jutsu. Sure none of them were on Kakashi-Level, but one had to celebrate the little victories in life.
Anyway, besides this, Kohana had found more diaries of Haruno Sakuya, her mysterious world-jumping ancestor and had learned quite a bit more about the Assassin Way of Life.
It was still difficult to wrap her head around that Sakuya had been in another world an assassin named Carina Auditore, coming from a long line of assassins, however with any more pages she read, Kohana believed it more.
There was also the fact, that she still got visions.
It was like she relived Carina/Sakuya's life.
Carina Auditore had lived in such a modern world, full of strange devices, yet was part of an order that protected humankind for centuries.
Haruno Sakuya was a weak Miko who had trained hard to become a semi-passable Ninja, during the Warring States Era and had been Uchiha Madara’s lover.
What the soul who had inhabited these two women had in common was their dedication to the assassin order.
Sakuya had tried and succeeded in recreating the Assassin Brotherhood's most-priced weapon.
The symbol of the Brotherhood you could say.
The Hidden Blade.
On the page, Kohana had read yesterday night, was written that Sakuya had placed her Hidden Blade in a chest, in the hope someone in the Haruno Clan would in the future pick it up again.
Kohana was determined to be this one.
Reading all these stories about being an assassin and living them in her vision...Kohana felt closer to being an assassin, than a ninja.
Strangely it fit her like a clove.
The assassination techniques Sakuya had written down in her dairies, the green-haired girl learned them fast.
It was like her body already knew them, remembered them.
This gave her an edge against other ninjas.
She fought in a way, that was not seen since Sakuya, so her teammates had trouble to counter it. Even Kakashi had struggled in the beginning, but the Hatake wasn’t a protege for nothing. He was the only one who could give her a fight.
However, Kohana missed the Hidden Blade.
She already lived out the Credo of the Assassin Brotherhood, yet without Hidden Blade she couldn’t call herself assassin.
Kunai could only work so much. They didn’t feel right when she tried out her assassination techniques.
No, she needed Sakuya Hidden Blade.
If she only could find it in one of these chests.
And if only her stupid older brother would leave her alone!
Kohana continued to rummage through the chests, hoping to find the Hidden Blade that her ancestor had left for her.
She couldn't shake off the feeling that it was somewhere in their basement, hidden away from prying eyes.
As she opened another chest, she saw a glint of metal and her heart skipped a beat.
Could it be?
Carefully lifting out the object, she gasped in awe as she held the Hidden Blade in her hands.
It was bigger than she imagined built in an arm-guard with intricate designs.
She recognized the Assassin's Brotherhood Symbol, which Sakuya had drawn in her dairy’s on it.
The green-haired girl felt a surge of excitement course through her veins as she examined it closely.
This was it!
The prized possession of the Assassin Brotherhood.
Kizashi watched as his little sister's face lit up with joy and couldn't help but wonder what was so special about this strange weapon.
For sure he never saw anything like that, for what was this thing good for?
Kohana felt Kizashi's eyes on her but ignored it and put the arm guard on her right arm.
She tried to make the Blade flip out like she had read in the diary, but sadly nothing happened.
“What?!”, she exclaimed surprised.
“Seems like your new toy is broken.”, guessed her brother. “You need to fix it.”
“Just awesome!”, grumbled Kohana. “Of course, it’s broken, I have to find the schematics for it now.”
“And a smith who understands this strange weapon.”, reminds her brother gleefully.
For that, Kohana trowed an old pillow in his face.
Her brother just let himself get hit.
Not like the pillow could hurt him.
Meanwhile, Kohana sighed in frustration.
Finding a smith who could fix the Hidden Blade was going to be a challenge. She didn't know anyone in the village who had experience with such an intricate weapon. However, she wasn't going to give up that easily.
She was determined to make it work, no matter what it took.
As she continued to search through the chests, her mind raced with possibilities of where she could find a smith.
Perhaps she could ask Minato-Sensei for help.
Kizashi watched as his sister's determination grew stronger and couldn't help but feel proud of her. He may not understand the importance of the Hidden Blade, yet he knew how much it meant to Kohana.
"Imoto-Chan," he said softly, "I'll help you find a smith. We'll figure this out together."
Surprised Kohana looked at him and smiled gratefully.
“Thanks Nii-Chan.”
***
Well, Kohana had found the schematics but every smith Kizashi and her visit were totally clueless.
Just awesome.
“This is the only one remaining.”, she groaned at Kizashi.
The smith stall belonged to Aito Takamaru. He was known in Konoha for his excellent weapons, the only problem was that he was really young.
It seemed impossible that he would understand the Hidden Blade.
Kizashi patted her head.
“Now, now, Ko-Chan, let’s ask and see. If I remember right the Aito’s been a smith family since the Warring States Era. If he doesn’t can help, maybe his father or grandfather.”
Kohana reluctantly followed Kizashi to Aito Takamaru's stall.
As they approached, she noticed that the young man was busy working on a Katana. He looked up as they approached and greeted them with a smile.
"Hello there! How can I help you today?"
Kizashi stepped forward and explained their dilemma to Aito-San.
The young smith listened carefully and nodded thoughtfully as he examined the Hidden Blade.
"This is quite an interesting piece," he said, "I've never seen anything like it before."
Kohana felt her heart sink. She had been hoping that Aito-San would be able to fix it, but now it seemed like all hope was lost.
However, much to her surprise, Aito-San continued speaking.
"But I think I might be able to figure it out," he said with a grin. "My grandfather told me often the story of how he made a special blade for a Miko named Haruno Sakuya. I bet it's this one, right?”
“Yeah, it is. Haruno Sakuya is our ancestor.”, told Kohana with hope in her heart.
Aito-San nodded.
“Good thing you have the schematics too. I think with what my grandfather told me and these, I will be successful in repairing the Hidden Blade.”
Kohana couldn't believe her ears.
Was this really happening? Could Aito-San really fix the Hidden Blade?
She watched in amazement as the young smith got to work, meticulously examining each part of the arm guard and studying the schematics that Kohana had brought with her.
For hours he worked on the blade.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Aito-San stood up and held out the Hidden Blade to Kohana.
"It's done," he said with a smile.
The glass-wearing girl took the arm-guard from him and examined it closely.
Sure enough, when she flicked her wrist just right, the blade sprang out from its hiding place with a satisfying snap.
"Thank you so much!" she exclaimed excitedly. "I don't know what I would have done without your help."
Aito-San just smiled modestly in response.
"It was my pleasure.”
As Kohana left the stall with Kizashi by her side, she couldn't help but feel grateful for this new ally that she had found in Aito Takamaru.
With his help, she knew that nothing could stand in her way!
***
“Alright, kids, who want to spar today first?”, asked Minato-Sensei the next day his four Genin.
After a good morning workout, it was now time for it.
Eagerly Kohana raised her hand.
“I would like to, Minato-Sensei.”
She so wanted to try out her Hidden Blade!
“Good, Kakashi-Kun, are up to spar with Kohana-Chan?”
The Hatake just gave a nod.
“Yeah, kick his ass, Kohana-Chan!”, rooted Obito for her, which made the girl blush a little.
Sweet Rin gave them both a smile: “Do your best Kohana-Chan and Kakashi-Kun.”
“Aww, Rin-Chan, why do have to be on his side too?”
She just giggled.
Kakashi and Kohana stood before each other, waiting for Minato-Sensei to go.
Minato-Sensei gave the signal and Kohana immediately went on the offensive, her Hidden Blade at the ready.
Kakashi was quick to dodge her attacks, yet he couldn't help but be impressed by her skill with the strange weapon.
She moved with a grace and fluidity that he had never seen before.
As they continued to spar, Kohana began to incorporate more of Sakuya's assassination techniques into her fighting style.
Her movements became even more unpredictable, making it difficult for Kakashi to keep up.
Obito was cheering loudly for her and even Rin clapped her hands.
“Yes you rock, Kohana-Chan!”, shouted Obito.
However, just as Kohana thought she had the upper hand, Kakashi suddenly disappeared from view.
She looked around frantically, trying to find him, yet he was nowhere in sight.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her back and realized too late that Kakashi attacked one of the weak spots of her body.
She fell to the ground with a thud, feeling defeated.
And she had been doing so well!
Kakashi walked over to her with an outstretched hand and helped her up.
"Good job," he said calmly.
The green-haired girl smiled back at him, feeling proud of herself for holding her own against one of Konoha's most talented ninjas.
They made the Seal of Reconciliation.
“Good spar you two.”, congratulated them Minato-Sensei. “Kohana you really improved and this new weapon of yours is amazing. Kakashi as always impressive. Now Obito and Rin you spar and the winner of that spar goes against Kakashi.”
Obito won the spar against Rin and so the two boys fought against each other.
Of course, Kakashi won, but Obito had given him a good fight too.
Then Minato-Sensei told Kohana and Rin that they should spar against each other.
Ready to spar, the two females faced each other.
Kohana flipped her Hidden Blade in and out, eager to test it out once again.
They circled each other warily, both waiting for the other to make the first move.
Finally, Rin lunged forward, aiming a punch at Kohana's face.
The green-haired girl easily dodged it and countered with a swift kick to Rin's stomach. She stumbled back, but quickly regained her footing and launched another attack.
The two girls traded blows back and forth, neither one gaining the upper hand for long. Kohana was impressed by Rin's speed and agility, but she knew that she had something that Rin didn't - the Hidden Blade.
As they continued to spar, Kohana began to incorporate Sakuya's assassination techniques into her fighting style once again.
She moved in quick bursts of speed, striking at Rin from unexpected angles with her weapon. The brunette struggled to keep up with her movements, then there was finally an opening.
With elegance, Kohana flipped herself over Rin, pierced her Hidden Blade into Rin's shirt and could flick her opponent like this away from her.
Rin fell down and Kohana was over her, Hidden Blade at her pulse.
“Kohana, wins!”, called Minato-Sensei over.
Kohana was panting as she lowered her weapon and smiled at Rin: “You did great!”
Her best friend smiled back at her: “So did you! That Hidden Blade is amazing.”
Kohana felt a surge of pride as she looked down at the arm-guard: “Thanks! Aito-San helped me repair it.”
The green-haired girl helped her brunette friend up and they made the Seal of Reconciliation.
Minato-Sensei came over to them: “I'm really impressed with your progress lately, Kohana-Chan.”
“Thank you Sensei,” replied Kohana gratefully. “I couldn't have done it without your training.”
“Now, who is ready for a D-Rank Mission?”
Three groans could be heard.
***
After the D-Rank mission, they had to walk the Inuzuka Ninken, Minato-Sensei called it a day.
Kakashi left with a lazy wave, while Rin said she had to help her parents in their shop.
That left Obito and Kohana.
Alone.
If she hadn’t taken this chance to spend some time with her crush, Kohana would never have progressed in their relationship.
“Hey, do you want to hang out for a bit?”, she asked him.
Obito's face lit up with excitement: “Sure! What do you want to do?”
Kohana thought for a moment before replying: “How about we go get some ice cream at the new shop that just opened up?”
“Sounds great!”
As they walked towards the ice cream shop, Kohana couldn't help but feel nervous.
This was the first time that she had hung out alone with Obito since becoming a Genin. She wasn't sure what to say or how to act around him.
Thankfully, Obito seemed oblivious to her nervousness and was busy chatting away about his latest manga. Kohana listened intently, she read the series too.
That was something they had in common.
They discussed plot points and why this character sucked and another was just amazing as they arrived at the ice cream shop.
Kohana ordered a chocolate milkshake while Obito got a strawberry sundae.
They sat down at one of the tables outside and enjoyed their treats in comfortable silence.
After finishing their desserts, they decided to take a walk around the village. As they strolled through the streets, Obito and her talked about the sparring matches today.
The Uchiha was giddy that she gave Kakashi a run for his money, even if she lost in the end.
“Maybe that will show stupid Bakashi, that we all can be amazing ninjas!”, he told her.
“You really hate Hatake-San, mmh?”
“Hate is a strong word. I mean he goes on my nerves, but I don’t hate him. I just hate his I’m-better-then-anyone-spiel he has going on!”
With that Obito frustrated kicked a stone away.
The Haruno bit her lip. She had a feeling, no she was sure that Obito hated also Kakashi because Rin was in love with the protege.
It was so sad, Kohana liked Obito, Obito liked Rin, Rin liked Kakashi and Kakashi didn’t seem to have a crush on anyone.
No one was a winner here.
Only if someone got new feelings for another and they liked them back.
How Kohana wished she could make Obito fall in love with her, but sadly Obito was too fixed on Rin.
What could she do to impress him so that he saw her finally?
Kicking Kakashi's ass maybe?
Obito seemed to like it when Kohana gave Kakashi a challenge, but maybe anyone who gave his rival a challenge was cool in the Uchiha's eyes.
As they continued their walk, Kohana couldn't help but feel a bit down.
She had hoped that this outing would bring her and Obito closer together, however, if your name wasn’t Rin Nohara you weren’t even a girl in Obito's eyes.
Sighed inwardly she tried to push those thoughts aside.
Maybe she could just be happy with being friends with Obito for now.
However as they turned a corner, something caught her eye.
It was a small flower shop that she had never noticed before.
Curious, she tugged on Obito's sleeve and pointed at the shop.
"Hey, do you want to take a look in there?"
Obito looked sceptical at first, but then shrugged his shoulders: "Why not?"
As they entered the shop, Kohana was immediately hit by the sweet scent of flowers.
The walls were lined with vases of all different colours and shapes, each one filled with beautiful blossoms.
Kohana felt herself relaxing as she took in the tranquil atmosphere of the shop.
Even Obito seemed to be enjoying himself as he examined some of the more exotic blooms.
Suddenly, Kohana spotted a small pot of delicate blue flowers tucked away in a corner of the shop.
Forget-me-nots.
Her Kaa-Chan had taught her the Flower Langue, if she remembered right Forget-me-not meant True love.
She gulped.
Well if she couldn’t say with words what she felt, maybe the flower would do.
Kohana walked over to the pot of Forget-me-not’s and picked one.
Turning to Obito, who was still examining the other flowers, she said softly: "Hey, Obito. Do you know what these flowers mean?"
Obito shook his head: "No, what do they mean?"
Kohana took a deep breath before answering: "They mean true love."
She handed him the flower and looked into his beautiful black eyes.
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Then Obito smiled at her: "I didn't know that."
The girl felt her heart swell with hope.
Maybe this was a sign that Obito would finally see her as more than just a friend.
The hope was crushed not a second later as the boy curiously pointed at yellow flowers.
“What do they mean?”
Kohana felt like crying.
“These are Primroses...they mean Desperate.”
That had to be a cruel joke of faith!
Obito pouted and tucked the Forget-me-no behind his ear.
“Aww, I like the Forget-me-no more. Hey, do you think I should buy some for Rin?”
The girl felt a pang of disappointment at Obito's suggestion.
Of course, he would want to give the Forget-me-nots to Rin, the girl he had a crush on. She forced a smile and nodded her head, trying to hide her true feelings.
"Sure, that's a great idea."
As they left the flower shop, Kohana couldn't help but feel like she was stuck in a never-ending cycle of unrequited love.
But she refused to give up hope.
Maybe one day Obito would see her as more than just a friend.
Until then, she would continue to cherish their friendship and hold onto the small moments like this one where she felt like maybe, just maybe, there was something more between them.

Nothing is True

… Everything is permitted.
What is real?
What is not?
Is she just turning crazy or are other powers at work?
One thing is clear Kohana will get to the bottom of this and maybe change the whole Ninja-World at the same time.
S.I. Third Shinobi World War

Chapter 5: Bonds
!!!!PLEASE READ AND REVIEW!!!
Kohana spent the next few weeks training rigorously, honing her skills and pushing herself to the limit. She practised her Chakra control, improved her physical strength and speed, and worked on perfecting her jutsu techniques. With each passing day, she could feel herself growing stronger and more confident in her abilities.
She tested out her Eagle Vision, to understand it better and was surprised. It seemed to show the Aura of persons, animals and things. Already she learned that blue meant allies, gold was important or a target and white was mostly neutral.
Also, she spent as much time with Obito and Rin as she could. If they would go training together, eat something or just enjoy a fun afternoon at the movie theatre, the bond between the three depended, which pleased the green-haired girl greatly. For that, she took Rin’s blatant and nearly shameless matchmaking between her and Obito.
Kohana loved Rin, she really did, but she wanted to strangle her sometimes.
Obito didn’t even seem to SEE Kohana as a girl. For him only Rin matters.
Perhaps she had screamed into her pillow a few times for it. She had read in Sakuya's diary that the Uchiha-Clan was famous for loving long and passionately, which meant she probably would never have a chance with the Uchiha.
Sign.
Anyway, their Genin Exam was up in a few days, so the trio decided to get some more training in.
They would first study for the writing exam in the library and then train their jutsu in a free training field.
As Kohana entered the library and only saw Obito reading with a frown over the books, she got a bad feeling.
Rin had made strange comments throughout the whole day.
Like that, her mother had said she needed her to help with their shop. Rin didn’t know how long that would take. They should get started without her.
The brunette wouldn’t, wouldn’t she?
She wouldn’t leave Kohana alone with her crush.
Then Kohana thought it over and groaned.
Of course, Rin would do that!
Her best friend, and after weeks of bonding she could say that without a doubt, was, even more, invested in her love life with Obito, than her own.
Urgh.
What should Kohana do?
They were scheduled to learn together, she couldn’t leave Obito.
Kohana took a deep breath and decided to focus on the task at hand. She approached Obito and sat down next to him, opening her own book. They studied in silence for a while until Kohana couldn't take it anymore.
"Is something bothering you, Obito?" she asked softly.
He looked up from his book and sighed heavily. "It's just that I'm having trouble understanding this concept," he admitted, pointing to a paragraph in the book.
The glass-wearing girl smiled reassuringly and began explaining the concept to him in simpler terms.
As they continued studying together, she couldn't help but feel a tiny bit grateful for Rin's matchmaking attempts. Without them, she never would have gotten so close to Obito and been able to help him like this.
After finishing their study session, they headed out to the training field where Rin was waiting for them with a mischievous grin on her face.
"What's going on?" Kohana asked warily as Rin handed each of them a blindfold.
"We're going to practice our sensory skills," Rin explained excitedly. "One person will be blindfolded and the other two will try to sneak up on them without making any noise."
Kohana nodded eagerly and put on her blindfold as Obito and Rin took turns sneaking up on her.
As they continued training, Kohana couldn't help but feel grateful for both Rin's matchmaking attempts and their upcoming Genin Exam. It had given her something positive to focus on instead of worrying about whether or not she could stop the end of the world.
Okay, it was a bit dramatic, but the future wasn’t as bright as it should have been.
Nonetheless, Kohana was sure that she was doing anything in her power to avoid a terrible future.
Keep Rin alive.
Don’t let Madara Uchiha get Obito in his hands.
Get rid of the old Uchiha.
Kill Black Zetsu and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Space, yeah she finally learned the name of the creepy thing, thanks to a vision.
Also, Danzo had to go too, because he was way too fishy.
The kunoichi to be had her hands full for the next years that one was clear.
***
Proudly Kohana caressed her forehead protector, which she wore as a bracelet on her left arm.
A week ago was the Genin Exam and she had passed with flying colors.
Mai-Sensei even congratulated her on being kunoichi of the year. This had pleased her greatly. It showed that her hard work had paid off.
Now she was sitting in her classroom, for the last time, between Rin and Obito.
Rin gripped her hand and squeezed.
“We really did it!”, whispered the brunette excited.
“Of course we did it, Rin-Chan!”, told Obito proudly, fiddling with his forehead protector he wore in the intended way. “We three are the best!”
This made both girls giggle.
“You mean, because Hatake-San already is a Genin, so he can’t be Rookie of the Year again, didn’t you pass by sheer dumb luck, since you got the clone jutsu down, the day before our exam.”, reminded him Kohana playful.
She may be crushing on the Uchiha, but he was first and foremost her friend, and what kind of friends didn’t tease each other in good humour?
“Kohana-Chan don’t remind me!”, whined the Uchiha, which made Rin giggle harder. “Ah, Rin-Chan come on!”
More complaining the boy couldn’t do, because Mai-Sensei finally entered the classroom. All brand new Genin fall into silence.
The woman smiled at them all, congratulating them on becoming Genin. She explained how now they would go out on a mission for the village and help in the war.
This sober all up.
The Third Shinobi World War was still going on and seemed not to end. That’s why their class was promoted to Genin at nine years. Konoha and her allies needed Shinobi forces.
“As you know, normal a team is made up of one Jonin and three Genin.”, began Mai-Sensei in her explanation. “However due to a few drop-outs these years, we are now an uneven number. So one team will be a Jonin with four Genin’s.”
The classroom erupted into whispers and excited chatter at the news. Kohana's heart raced with anticipation. She exchanged nervous glances with Rin and Obito. They had become such a close-knit group over the past few weeks, that she couldn't bear the thought of being separated from them. Also, it was better for the future if she stayed with them.
Hopefully, the three were a team.
Mai-Sensei began to read aloud the first teams. Automatically Kohana gripped Rin and Obito's hand. Both her friends squeezed back.
All three of them wished to stay together but were scared they wouldn’t.
“Now Team 7 under Namikaze Minato, Hatake Kakashi, Nohara Rin.”, read aloud Mai-Sensei. Sweat broke out all over Kohana's body. One of her friends was already away in another team. She was happy Rin could be with her crush Kakashi, but how should she protect her friend now? “Uchiha Obito and Haruno Kohana. You will be our five-member squad.”
....Did she hear right?!
Obito let out a happy yelp and hugged herself and Rin to him.
“At least we are together!”, he celebrated. “Even with stupid Bakashi!”
That earned him laugh around the classroom and even more as Kakashi deadpanned at him and said: “I rather have Haruno, the kunoichi of the year and Nohara, the second best in my team than be with you, deadlast!”
Immediate Obito stopped his hug and waved a fist in Kakashi's direction.
“What was that asshole?! Who is here the death last, you stupid protege! Only because you became a Genin at six, doesn’t mean you are better than us!”
Kohana and Rin couldn't help but laugh at the banter between Obito and Kakashi.
It seemed like things were going to be okay after all.
As Mai-Sensei continued to assign teams, Kohana felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was grateful that she would still be with Rin and Obito, even if they were now part of a larger team.
With Kakashi.
The protege.
Come to think of it, was not Namikaze Minato his mentor?
So they just joined them, huh?
Well, whatever, at least she would have Rin and Obito by her side.
***
After lunch break the Jonin Senseis came to pick up their Genin.
Both girls blushed as they saw their Sensei.
Namikaze Minato was a young beautiful man, probably Kizashi age, with golden spiky hair and blue eyes like the sky.
With a gentle voice, he greeted them, made them feel welcome and led the four Genin to a free training field.
There the kids sat down on the ground, while Minato sat on a stump.
“As you probably know, I’m Kakashi-Kun's mentor, so I know him quite well, but I would like we all introduced each other to each other.”, he said with a smile.
You could clearly see, how Kakashi didn’t want to.
“Is this really necessary Sensei? The three are friends and I know them, no need for that.”
“That may be true, but I don’t know the other kids.”, Minato reminded gently. “I will even start. My name is Namikaze Minato, proud Jonin of Konohagakure. I like creating new jutsu and the food my girlfriend cooks and dislike blind hatred. My hobbies are reading and training. My dream for the future is to help you all become great ninjas and one day be Hokage and serve our village.”
The blond-haired young man couldn’t help but chuckle a little at the little awed faces of his three new cares.
“How about you now?”, he pointed at Obito.
“I’m Uchiha Obito! I like dango and spending time with my friends, mostly Rin-Chan and Kohana-Chan. I dislike arrogant assholes and people who left behind their friends. My dream for the future is also to become Hokage! I wanna make the world better for all of us and end all wars.”
Minato smiled at him. “Then we have something in common, how about the brunette lady, now?”
“Hello, I’m Nohara Rin.”, began the girl. “I love anything with strawberries, cake, sweets you name it. I like training and having sleepovers with Kohana-Chan. I hate to mean people and suffering. I would like to become a medical ninja, as great as Senju Tsunade and help where I can.”
“An admirable dream. Now how about you with the cool glasses.”
This made Kohana giggle, no one ever said her glasses were cool and said: “My name is Haruno Kohana. Maybe you know my older brother Kizashi? Anyway I like my best friends Rin-Chan and Obito-Kun and would kill for the Tonkotsu Ramen of Ichiraku and my Kaa-Chan Okonomiyaki. I also like learning new things and history. I dislike ignorance. For my dream of the future...I just want to be the best kunoichi I can be and help create a better world.”
This earned her a nod from her Sensei, till he turned to Kakashi.
Both mentor and protege stared at each other, till Kakashi spoke. “I’m Hatake Kakashi. I have no intention of telling you my likes and dislikes. As for my dream…hobbies are a waste of time you could use to train.”
The three other Genin sweat dropped at this.
“He only told us his name.”, hissed Obito to his two female friends.
The girls nodded, still in disbelief.
Minato just rubbed his forehead. He should have known that Kakashi would pull something like that. His protege hadn’t been happy that he suddenly had to work with a team.
“I can see in all of you a great potential.”, told them Minato. “So we will do a training exercise to see how good you all really are.”
Under the curious eyes of his Genin Minato showed them four bells.
“Now, your object is to get these bells from me. Come with me with anything you got or you won’t get a bell. Understood? If you aren’t ready to use all means, you can go straight back to the academy.”
This shocked all four, even if Kakashi hid it the best.
“Now on my go, get ready. Alright?”
The four Genin stood up and nodded as one.
“Ready! Go!”
With that, all jumped into a safe location to assert the assignment.
Kakashi was already in the trees, observing his new team.
Let’s see if you can keep up with me..., he thought.
Kohana could feel her heart racing with excitement and anticipation. She had heard stories about Kakashi's legendary skills and was eager to see them in action. Rin looked just as excited, while Obito seemed a bit nervous.
As they began their attack, Minato proved to be a formidable opponent. He moved quickly and effortlessly, dodging all of their attacks with ease. Kohana tried using her Chakra control to create illusions, but Minato saw through them immediately. Rin attempted to sneak up on him from behind, but he sensed her presence and knocked her away with a swift kick.
Obito tried using his fire jutsu, but Minato countered it easily with his own wind jutsu. Kakashi remained hidden in the trees, watching silently as the battle raged on.
Despite their best efforts, none of them were able to get even close to the bells.
As Kohana, Obito and Rin sat on the ground to catch their breath, was when Kakashi made his move.
The Hatake attacked their Sensei with such force and precision that it was impressive.
Even more impressive he got all bells!
“Oh come on!”, whined Obito and let himself fall on the ground fully.
Rin was blushing and admiring her crush, while Kohana realized that she was far from being a protege like Kakashi.
This meant she had to train even harder.
Oh, kami!
Kakashi stood in front of them, holding the bells triumphantly. “See Minato-Sensei I don’t need a team. We two work fine together.”
Kohana couldn't help but feel disappointed in herself. She had hoped to at least get close to one of the bells. But she knew that this was just the beginning of their training together and she had plenty of time to improve her skills.
Minato walked over.
“Kakashi we talked about this, let’s not have this discussion again.”, reminds the blond-haired man, then he turns to the other three with a smile.
"You all did well," he said encouragingly. "Remember, teamwork is key in any mission. And don't worry about not getting the bells today, it was just a test to assess your strengths and weaknesses."
Rin nodded eagerly while Obito grumbled under his breath about wanting another chance to get those bells. Kohana smiled at her Sensei's words and made a mental note to work even harder in their training sessions.
“Tomorrow we will have our first mission as Team 7, so off you go kids. Have a healthy dinner and then early to bed early. We will meet each other here at 7 p. m., sounds good?”
“Yes, Minato-Sensei.”, the kids chorused together.
Thus ended the first day as a Ninja for Konoha, she hoped she was ready for the real-life ninja work starting tomorrow.

Goddess of the Sun, Queen of the Stars

On a night shooting stars cross over Konohagakure the life of 12-year-old Hinata changes forever. A white wolf named Shiranui searched for her to end the reign of the “Planet Eaters” as she calls the enemy. The young Hyuuga awakens power beyond her imagination. But will it be enough to end the millennia-old conflict?
OP!Hinata
Goddess!Hinata

Hinata has always been my favourite character. I see a lot of myself in her. Maybe that’s why I love and admire her so much. There are a lot of OP Naruto stories out there, it’s time for the Hyuuga Princess to kick ass and take names.
Enjoy!

Prologue: Falling Stars
The night Hinata Hyuuga's life would change forever started with a beautiful meteor shower.
One Konohgakure hadn’t seen in a good 100 years.
Enchanted Hinata watched from her window seat the shooting stars racing against each other in the night sky with a brilliant full moon taken vigil over them.
It was so calm and serene. For a moment all life problems seemed to vanish.
Her role as heir is being treated.
Her father's aloofness towards her.
The elders of the clan with their hurtful words.
Neji-Niisan hate filled gaze.
And Hanabi’s looks of pity.
No.
For a moment she could all forget this as she watched this miracle of nature.
Are you watching the stars too, Naruto-Kun?, she thought with a sign. Are you amazed by them too…or are you feeling alone?
It wasn’t the first time nor would it be the last time Hinata cursed herself for her shyness.
She was 12 years old, the graduation from the Academy was a year away and she still couldn’t manage to utter a single word to the boy who had saved her.
The boy that brightened her day only with his smile.
The boy who had her heart, even if he didn’t know.
Some Ninja to be she was.
Another sign escaped her lips and she turned her attention back to the shooting stars.
Her late mother, Kami bless her soul, told her if she wished upon a shooting star, the wish would come true.
Father would chest her for believing in such fairytales, but anything that came from her mother was precious to Hinata.
She missed her any day with a burning passion.
So she closed her eyes, like her mother told her, and thought about a wish.
What was a good wish?
Of course, it would be nice if Naruto-Kun would fall for me…but I want his love because he likes me and not because of a wish…maybe…just…I just want to find my place in the world. I want to feel I’m useful and belong somewhere.
Yes, this was a nice wish.
Hinata put her hands in a prayer position, still, eyes closed and sent her wish to the shooting stars.
She imaged how her wish reached one star. The star twinkled, taking her wish and carrying it away to be fulfilled.
It was a comforting thought.
Slowly she opened her eyes.
Only to have them wide comical as she saw what was happening.
I’m imagining things or is a star falling down in my direction?!
The young girl couldn’t even scream as the twinkling orb smashed through her window and then knocked her over. With a hard thud, she landed on her bedroom floor and was knocked out cold.
She didn’t see how the orb was sitting on her stomach changing forms.
It stretched and expanded, till it took the form of a little anthropomorphic wolf.
Its fur was white like snow and its eyes the colour of gold. A little red bandana with a yellow star it wore on its neck, and also some gold, orange, and red bracelets.
The wolf blinked a few times, then floated over to Hinata's head. It was a bit taller than her head.
“Ups didn’t mean to knock ya out!”, it said in a feminine voice and winced as she saw how more glass of the broken window fell down. “And didn’t mean to break your window, hehe.”
Of course no anwer came from Hinata.
“Meh, better fix the window and look for any curious human who might want to check out what happened here.”
But first, she put the human girl on her bed with a wet rug over the bump Hinata was forming.
Yeah, Shiranui, the name of the little wolf, had imaged meeting HER also in a different way.
Well, beggars can be choosers.

Shiranui is inspired by Shiranui from the amazing game Okami. :D Play it, it’s amazing <3

And she cries for the woman, who would have been her sister in another life.
She rages, she shouts, and she destroys her meagre things.
Is this a woman's destiny, she wonders, to sacrifice themselves for the greater good?

This One-Shot was inspired by the amazing fanfic penthesilea from starryhighqueen from Ao3.
It only has a chapter right now, but it is a gorgeous piece of literature, you have to read it!
Here is the link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/50927074/chapters/128658328
Aerith’s death hits them all hard, but no one rages quite like Dalia herself.
The only connection to her missing brother…
The young woman who took her in, when she was alone in the world…
Who loved and cherished her as they were from the same flesh and blood!
Dead.
Killed.
Slaughtered!
By the demon Sephiroth.
Dalia's screams echoed through the Forgotten City.
A physical manifestation of how the world lost its brightest light.
She tore through the new JENOVA abomination like it was made out of cheap cardboard.
When it’s finally death she spits on it.
She curses it with any foul word she knows.
Tifa tries to comfort her, but she slaps away her hand.
Dalia doesn’t want any comfort.
She wants to spill Sephiroth's blood.
Wants him to beg for the sweet embrace of death.
She would make him suffer, she swerves on Aerith's soul.
Without looking at anyone, she turns her back and walks away.
She can’t stand looking at Aerith, Aerith's corpse when she had been full of life only a half hour ago.
***
After Sephiroth's death, after the planet was safe from the meteor, Dalia Fair returned home to Gongaga.
Her parents take her back in without a word.
She is quiet the first few weeks anyway.
Probably looks like death herself, she musses.
Dalia sits on her childhood bed, looking at Zack's empty side and can just cry.
Cry for her brother who lost his life to protect Cloud from ShinRa.
Cry for Aerith who had sacrificed herself for them all.
It’s too much.
It’s unfair!
Why did two of the best and most amazing people she knew die?
She cries for her big brother.
Her protector, her rock, her hero since childhood.
And she cries for the woman, who would have been her sister in another life.
She rages, she shouts, and she destroys her meagre things.
Is this a woman's destiny, she wonders, to sacrifice themselves for the greater good?
If one day she would have a daughter, she would teach her to rage against destiny itself.
No one should be a martyr for this people and this planet.
***
Cloud came for her one year after she had returned to Gongaga.
She wears one of the flowy dresses Aerith preferred in a soft blue.
Her black hair long and spiky like Zack’s had been with a little blue bow on her left side.
It’s probably not sane to represent her dead loved ones like this, yet Dalia is beyond carrying at this point.
Only like this, she feels close to Aerith and Zack.
She curses herself any day that she can’t hear the planet, the voices in the Lifestream.
Maybe if she was capable of it, she could talk to them again.
Cloud looks at her sadly.
The fierce archer is gone.
Leaving a husk clingy to memories.
He understands her.
The weight of the Buster Sword crushes him any waking hour.
“I miss you.”, he tells her quietly. “I know I should leave you alone, you made clear, you don’t want anyone of us near you but….I miss you.”
And Dalia realizes at the exact moment, she had missed him too.
The little flower of love that had blossomed between them, before Aerith’s death and the truth about Zack's disappearance came to light, is still there.
Barely living, but present.
Can she just be happy with Cloud?
Was it fair since Aerith and Zack didn’t get the chance?
Dalia opens her mouth, maybe to say no, she can’t, yet it’s like she hears Aerith's voice, sweetly whispering to her: “Be happy. For me and Zack.”
She listens, gulps and throws herself in Cloud's arms.
They hold each other tightly, scared the other would disappear if they let go.
“I missed you too.”
And maybe this is enough.
***
Geostigma was terrible.
Never felt Dalia so useless.
She can’t help this time, the child under her heart, can’t be risked, she knows this.
Cloud knows this.
All their friends know this.
And again it’s like Aerith talks to her, begging her to not risk the child's life, the life of her niece.
After Geostigma is cured, Dalia delivers a beautiful little girl with short blond hair.
Exactly like the voice of Aerith had said.
“What should we call her?”, ask Cloud full of wonder at the life he created with Dalia.
Were there any other options?
“Aeris.”
In remembrance of the women who made all this even possible.
***
Years pass and Aeris is joined by a brother named Zack, and two younger sisters named Azalea and Amarilis.
Dalia and Cloud are a happy couple and even happier parents, looking at how their children grow up in a world free of ShinRa, of Sephiroth.
She never misses telling her children the story of their aunt Aerith and their uncle Zack.
However, she makes one thing clear, especially for her girls: “No one is worth it to sacrifice yourself for them. You have the right to live to the fullest like everybody else.”
Zack, Azalea and Amarilis take the lesson, but soon forget because they are more busy with living life, which is what Dalia wants.
It’s Aeris who makes her worry.
She is the only one of her kids who has Cloud’s blond hair and spikes, making her look like a Chocobo chick and blue eyes like Zack and herself, who seem way too old for her young face.
Aeris is a silent and kind girl.
Sometimes she looks into the distance, seeming to see something which no one can.
One day Dalia asks her what she sees.
The answer her child gives is both frightened and elateding.
“It’s Aunt Aerith. She talks sometimes to me. With her is a silver-haired man. I don’t think they like each other very much.”
That night, when she is sure Cloud and the children are fast asleep, she gets outside and curses Sephiroth out.
Dalia makes clear that she can and will find a way to make his afterlife hell if he doesn’t leave Aerith alone.
This earns her a soft familiar giggle in the wind.
A little smile forms on Dalia's face.
At least she can still make Aerith laugh.
***
When Aeris becomes a mother herself, giving birth to a beautiful baby girl named Claudia, both mother and daughter talk again about the long death.
“Aunt Aerith was here.”, tells Aeris, while Dalia coos at her first grandchild. “With the silver-haired man…I think they get along now.”
Dalia raises an eyebrow and gently cradles little Claudia.
“Really? Are you sure, Aeris?”
“I am, Mama. Sephiroth…he is more human, no he is a human now. Not the monster from your and Papa's tales.”
Huh, of course, Aeris would find out the connection between the silver-haired man who was beside her aunt in the afterlife and the monster they fought.
Still, Dalia can’t help but ask: “Are you certain, sweetheart.”
Aeris nods which makes her spikes bounce.
“They seemed… happy. I’m glad Aunt Aerith isn’t alone anymore.”
Dalia purses her lips and looks down at her grandchild.
Aerith and Sephiroth are together in the afterlife and are happy with each other.
That sounds like a bad joke, yet her daughter wouldn’t lie to her.
When night falls again Dalia slips out of her home to talk to them.
“I…don’t know what happened…And I’m sure I don’t want any details but…if you make each other happy… continue…Still, Sephiroth if you harm or break Aerith's heart I will find a way to resurrect you, only to kill you again!”
Again, like so many years ago, the wind carries soft and familiar laughter only joined by a more masculine chuckle.
Dalia blinks, while the wind caresses her like a loved one, making her long black hair with silver lines in it dance.
Don’t worry about me….about us…we are happy…don’t worry anymore Dalia…
The woman gasps as she hears these words in her head and can’t help but cry.
Oh sweet, sweet Aerith…
She would do it, for her.
Strong arms circle her waist and Dalia sinks into the warm body of her husband.
“Done with talking to the souls?”
Of course, Cloud would know.
She nods.
“Yeah, let’s go to sleep.”
With that, like when they were young, Cloud carries her bridal style into their home.
Dalia laughs like the young girl she was once, while Cloud smiles at her cheeky.
I love you Aerith…be happy! You deserve this more than anyone.
The door to the Strife household closes with a clink, as the wind dances around the flowers they had planted with their children there.
And if you listen closely you would hear the laugh of a young woman and a man.
I HOPE YOU ALL LIKED IT!
ESPECIALLY YOU starryhighqueen!

OP!Hinata
Goddess!Hinata

Chapter 3: Beginning
Slowly breathing in and out Hinata stood before her classroom door.
When she goes through this door…she will start her life as kunoichi of the village hidden in the leaves.
Even with all the training she had done over the year with Shiranui, the Hyuuga Heiress was still in disbelief that she managed to become a Genin yesterday.
Also, Iruka-Senei congratulated her, as being kunoichi of the year.
A spot Haruno Sakura would have gotten if her Hoshi-Kami friend never had stepped into her life, she was sure.
“Nervous, Hinata-Chan?”, asked Shiranui in the form of a star brooch on the dark blue Obi she wore.
As a graduation gift, Shiranui had given her a new ninja gear.
Hinata wore a sleeveless black turtleneck made out of soft fabric. Woven in it was the plate of a headband from Konoha.
An off-the-shoulder white kimono jacket with golden trims and the already named dark blue Obi with Shiranui in the form of a silver star brooch.
Simple dark blue baggy pants and the standard ninja sandals, kunai holder and pouches on her back completed the outfit.
It was one of the most beautiful things she ever wore.

It also made her nervous.
Showing her shoulders…also her clothes did nothing to hide her..erm…developed figure…if this wasn’t a gift, Hinata would never wear such a thing.
Nervously she played with a kimono sleeve, answering her wolf companion: “Kind of…I’m not used to such clothes…also what will happen now that I’m a Genin.”
“We will cross the bridge when we get there.”, advised Shiranui. “Already making yourself freak out will do nothing good. Keeping a calm head is the key to being a good shinobi and one day a powerful goddess.”
Only because she heard the Hoshi-Kami say this for a year, Hinata managed not to sign and again saying she would never be the goddess, the Messiah, Shiranui wanted.
Did the hellish training of Shiranui turn her into the best kunoichi of her class?
Yes.
Did it turn her into the heiress her father wanted?
Also yes.
Could she use advanced Jutsu like Kagebushin and was she not affin to all 5 elements?
Yes, Yes!
But it didn’t mean she was a goddess.
Maybe, and even thinking this made Hinata feel unworthy, a prodigy in the ninja arts.
There were still a lot of shinobi out there who would clean the floor with her without breaking a sweat.
Sadly she couldn’t win against Shiranui. She was a blockhead trough and trough.
Hinata only waited for the day she WOULD undoubtedly screw up and her wolf companion would see what big mistake she made in laying all her hopes in the Hyuuga Heiress.
So she only thanked Shiranui for her words and entered the classroom.
Swift, she found a place to sit down, hoping no one would take note of her.
Thankful no one did.
But she took note of something pleasing.
Naruto was in the room, proudly wearing a headband.
Naruto-Kun was able to graduate…she thought happily for him.
Then Sakura and Ino formally burst into the room and all got downhill from there.
Our goddess-to-be didn’t need to see Naruto and Sasuke accidentally kiss.
Naruto's first kiss was stolen in such a stupid way.
She wanted to cry.
In her brooch form, Shiranui nearly died of laughter seeing the scene.
Over the past year, the Hoshi-Kami had learned that the blond boy was always good for a laugh.
Still, neither of the two females liked that Sasuke’s Fanclub beat the poor boy up.
It was a stupid accident, not like both boys wanted to lock lips.
Anyway, Iruka-Sensei finally arrived, which calmed the class down.
He sends them all a warm and happy smile.
“Starting today, you are all official ninjas, but…You all are still new Genin…”, he began. “It’s going to get harder from here.”
He explained how they would form a group of three with a Jonin instructor as their sensei doing missions together.
Again Hinata played with her kimono sleeve. It would be nice to be with Naruto-Kun in a team…I don’t know who should be our third. I’m open to anything.
For her growth and allies, she needs…Uzumaki and Uchiha., thought Shiranui. No doubt the reincarnations of the sons of the Sage of the Six Paths will play a major role in this world…
Calmly Iruka-Sensei began to read the teams aloud, Hinata got more twitchy any second she didn’t hear Naruto’s or her name.
She didn’t want to hope…but it would be so nice to finally talk and interact with Naruto.
Even if they were only teammates, Hinata wished to be closer to her crush.
“Next the 7th group, Uzumaki Naruto…”
So hard Hinata gripped her kimono sleeve so that Shiranui thought she would rip it apart any second.
“...Hyuuga Hinata…”
…Did she hear right?!
A tiny happy squeak came out of her mouth. Blushing she put her hands over it.
Please, let nobody have heard it…
If someone did it was forgotten since the third and last name was Sasuke Uchiha!
Not only did Naruto crumple like a balloon, but Sasuke’s Fanclub, mostly Sakura and Ino, screeched in outrage!
“Why her?!”
“This is not fair!”
“She doesn’t even like him!”
“No Sasuke-Kun belongs with me, how could destiny be so cruel!”
Oh Kami, Hinata wished to crawl into her kimono, why did it have to be off-the-shoulder?
“Girls calm down!”, shouted Iruka-Sensei over the hyestric fangirls. “Hinata was placed on the team since she is the top kunoichi. It’s tradition to put the Rookie of the Year, Sasuke here, the top kunoichi and the dead last in one team. It balances their weaknesses out.”
Naruto didn’t seem to have listened since he asked how a top student like him was placed in a team with Sasuke. Again Iruka-Sensei explained the reasons.
Sasuke told Naruto arrogantly to not get in his way.
The two boys would surely fought each other if Iruka-Sensei hadn’t stopped them.
I take it back…not anyone with Naruto and myself…even Sakura would be better…
Damn, that sibling rivalry transcends lifetimes…my poor Hinata-Chan…
The Hyuuga and the wolf in brooch form had a sweatdrop running down.
After Iruka-Sensei called for the other teams, Shiranui took only note that Team 8 would be the Inuzuka boy, the Aburame and the Haruno-Fangirl and Team 10 Yamanaka, Nara and Akimichi, it was time for lunch.
Thoughtful Hinata ate the Bento she had prepared for herself. She had wanted to ask Naruto and Sasuke out to eat with her.
It would be good to bond with them, but she had chickened out.
For all the power she was wielding now…she still was shy and timid.
Also, her wolf friend wanted to talk with her.
So she sat down alone on a secluded bench and waited for Shiranui to speak.
“What do you know about the Sage of Six Path, Hinata-Chan?”, was she asked.
Okay, she didn’t expect that.
“Not much.”, she admitted. “Only that legends say he was the one who first unlocked Chakra and he taught it to the rest of the world.”
“Remember when last week I returned for the weekend to my home planet?”
“Yes, you didn’t want to tell me why.”
“I needed some information on this world, just in case you would be placed in a team with Naruto and Sasuke.”
The Hyuuga stopped mind-chow. Confused she looked down at her brooch.
“What? Why Shiranui-San?”
“Both are reincarnations. Important ones. Let me tell you the story of the Sage of the Six Paths.”
And she listened.
