Goddess of the Sun, Queen of the Stars

Goddess Of The Sun, Queen Of The Stars

On a night shooting stars cross over Konohagakure the life of 12-year-old Hinata changes forever. A white wolf named Shiranui searched for her to end the reign of the “Planet Eaters” as she calls the enemy. The young Hyuuga awakens power beyond her imagination. But will it be enough to end the millennia-old conflict?

Goddess Of The Sun, Queen Of The Stars

Chapter 1: Hinata and Shiranui

A beautiful sunny day dawned over Kohanagakura.

Civilians and shinobi alike went about their daily lives.

Nothing was out of place.

Absolutely nothing.

Well, almost.

One Hinata Hyuga stood before the gates of the Ninja Academy, sweating bullets and wishing she could return home.

She was not ready to face the world after…yesterday night.

“Hey Hinata-Chan.”, the source of her state whispered.

If anybody looked, they would note the new silver brooch in the shape of a wolf on Hinata's jacket and would probably think themselves crazy hearing it talk!

But it did!

Or, Hinata should say, her!

“All will be okay.”, reassured her the brooch. “I’m with you and you will grow into your goddesshood.”

“I…I still think you chose the wrong person…Shiranui-Sama.”, she whispered back.

“Again drop the Sama and I didn’t choose you…You were born for this!”

Hinata could only let out a sign.

Her brooch, who was in reality an anthropomorphic wolf from another planet, which alone was crazy alone, didn’t let up that she was apparently a goddess.

Or a goddess to be.

Born to end the reign of the Planet Eaters.

She had a rather freakish awakening after the shooting star had knocked her out.

With a groan, Hinata sat up on her bed.

She dreamed that a shooting star had knocked her out cold.

How silly.

A star couldn't do this.

Strange was the bump she had on her head.

Did she fall?

“Ah, you are awake little goddess!”, greeted her an unknown female voice cheerful.

Before her floated, FLOATED, a little anthropomorphic wolf.

Her fur was white like snow and her eyes the colour of gold. A little red bandana with a yellow star she wore on her neck, and also some gold, orange, and red bracelets.

Before the Hyuga Heiress could scream for help, the she-wolf put one of her paws over her mouth.

“Please don’t scream, little goddess! I mean no harm. Please trust me!”

“Hinata-Chan you are going to be late for your class if you stand around here.”, reminds her Shiranui.

Not really having a choice the young girl walked to her classroom.

Huddled up in her seat, she prayed like any day that no one would take note of her.

Being invisible was her greatest strength and comfort.

She hates being in the spotlight.

Yet it seemed she soon would be if what Shiranui said was true.

After Hinata had calmed down, the wolf introduced herself as Shiranui.

Shiranui from the race of the Hoshi-Kamis coming from the planet Hoshihime.

Here now in the 5 Shinobi Nations for her. Hinata!

“I have long searched for you little goddess.”, told her Shiranui. “In many worlds. Till the shining light in your heart lead me to you. The brightest light in existence. The incarnation of the Sun.”

She had wanted to ask what Shiranui meant by that, yet her stutter made the words come out all garbled and messy.

Thankfully Shiranui understood her and explained her mission, which sounded more like a fairytale.

“I’m one of many Searchers. Our holy duty is to find young godlings and help them grow into their godhood. Yet one day one of our Searchers uplifted a godling unlike any other. Ōtsutsuki was his name. A parasite he became. Evil Incarnated. He started a family, so powerful and obsessed with power that they destroyed entire planets just to eat one God Fruit. This special fruit full of Chakra turns you as the name says into a god. The more you eat, the more powerful you are. For millenniums we Hoshi-Kami tried to stop the Ōtsutsuki, the Planet Eater as we call them, but no god or goddess we found was powerful enough. Till now! I know you are the one we have prayed for so long. The godling who will save us all. The Goddess of the Sun, Queen of the Stars.”

The young kunoichi-to-be tried to listen to Iruka-Sensei lesson, but how could she when an alien wolf told her she was to be a goddess and kill a whole family of evil gods?!

She couldn’t even win against Hanabi in a spar!

It was ridiculous.

Nonetheless, Shiranui was stubborn.

She really believed that Hinata would be the Messiah who saved them all.

Even trying to understand Shiranui's reasons didn't make it simpler for Hinata.

Her light, her Chakra apparently, had the markers of a godling.

Now it was only a matter of training and experience till she became a full-fledged goddess.

A load of, pardon her language, bullshit.

Sadly Hinata hadn’t in her heart to scare away Shiranui so she had to go along with her.

For now.

Till Shiranui saw what a failure she was.

Then she would leave her and find the real Messiah.

“All right this wraps up the lesson for today.”, Iruka-Sensei's voice ripped through her thoughts. “Now we will go outside to train with our Shuriken and then have matches. Sounds good?”

Most of her classmates were happy.

Hinata saw how Naruto, her beloved, pumped himself up muttering something like this time I will get the teme.

Oh, Naruto and his rivalry with Sasuke.

She admired how Naruto could try and try again till he would succeed.

“Well that is an interesting one.”, whispered Shiranui to her.

Carefully looking around that no one saw her talking to the brooch she followed after her classmates and Iruka-Sensei.

“Naruto-Kun is amazing. He would make a better savoir of the world, Shiranui-Sama erm San.”

“Oh believe me Hinata-Chan our little foxy there IS something special, but not the special like you.”

The she-wolf was quiet for a few seconds.

“You know what, he would make a good ally. You should talk to him.”

The young girl turned red like a tomato and babbled something like talking to Naruto-Kun?!

“Aww, does my little godling have a crush…well your babies would surely be extremely overpowered. They would bench press a Planet Eater.”

That was too much for Hinata. With an ack, she fainted.

“Hinata-Chan? Ups, didn’t mean to make her faint.”, mumbled Shiranui to herself.

Hinata was floating down what seemed an endless dark tunnel.

Nothing matters anymore.

Nor time.

Nor place.

Nor herself.

Just the silence of this place.

Slowly she opened her eyes and looked around.

She was floating towards something it seemed.

It was….a picture.

Two young males and two young females in white robes stood around with each other, talking.

The males were both brunettes, one had a long spiky hairstyle, and the other had short hair and a headband.

The two females were black-haired, one wore her hair in an elaborate braid, and the other wore it long and free.

Suddenly the picture started to move and Hinata heard voices.

“Listen to yourself Indra!”, shouted the woman with the braid, pointing at the long spiky-haired brunette. “Obedience through power…that’s not what uncle, your father wants!”

“The world is a messy place, without a hard hand that leads the people, chaos will reign, Yumigami!”, the male, Indra, shouted back.

“Now, now, let's stay all calm.”, pleaded the other male. “We are a family, we shouldn’t argue like that with each other.

Indra and Yumigami told him together to shut up.

“Erm, Ashura is right.”, said the still-nameless female, playing with her fingers. “We only see each other once or twice a year, we should enjoy our time together.”

“You have a good heart, Imoto-Chan, but Amaterasu I will not stand by and let Indra manoeuvre our world into a dictatorship!”

“Last time I checked you lived with Uncle Hamura on the moon. The matters of Earth or none of your business!”

Hinata watched how Ashura and Amaterasu tried to stop the argument between Indra and Yumigami, but it didn’t work.

They only got angrier.

Slowly their faces and voices faded, like the darkness around Hinata…

A bit confused Hinata blinked up the white ceiling. She felt she was laying on something.

Something uncomfortable and familiar.

She signed and asked into the room: “How long this time?”

“About 15 to 20 minutes Hinata-San.”, informed the academy nurse Rinka.

The Hyuuga Heiress knew the friendly nurse well, thanks to her fainting spells, so she could speak normally without stutter to her.

Also, Rinka was so gentle and kind, she made it easy to talk to her.

Showing her caring nature Rinka gave her a glass of water without asking.

Thankful Hinata gulped down the fresh water. She was really thirsty.

“I would say you are okay again.”, told her Rinka. “But stay for another 5 minutes, then you can join up with your class again.”

Hinata gave a tiny nod and tried to relax on the sick bed.

What a weird dream she had.

She wondered if it meant something.

As Hinata made her way back to her classroom since Iruka-Sensei had told Nurse Rinka he didn’t want to risk her fainting during a match and getting really hurt, so Hinata should stay in the classroom and work on some assignments, Shiranui was telling her how sorry she was for teasing her.

The wolf didn’t think she would take it so badly, yet Hinata didn’t blame her.

It’s not like they have known each other for a long time.

“Anyway, I have a question.”, said Shiranui to her. “While you were knocked out, I noted how your Chakra was streaming like a raging river through your body. Did you dream something strange?”

It’s not like Hinaata wanted to hide her weird dream, so she told Shiranui.

The Hoshi-Kami hummed thoughtfully: “Hmm, I would say you saw one of your ancestor's memories, but who of the four it was I can’t tell. But this proves your godhood, Hinata-Chan. I told you after my Love Pat you would start to change and look! You have visions of the past!”

At the word, Love Pat Hinata shudder.

She wouldn’t call the punch to her heart from Shiranui yesterday night a love pat.

It was like a Gentle Fist, even if she didn’t start to cough up blood like normally one would.

No, Shiranui Love Pat with Chakra was the key to unlocking her godhood.

Some godling could awake their powers alone with training, others needed a push and since the wolf was sick of hearing Hinata tell her that she wasn’t the goddess she searched for, Shiranui had decided to give her the Love Pat to accelerate the whole metamorphosis

The Hyuuga Heiress only know one thing.

Whether godhood or not…her life would surely get more complicated from now on.

Goddess Of The Sun, Queen Of The Stars

The name Yumigami comes also from the game Okami, please play it, it’s good for your soul :D

Anomaly

Anomaly; noun: something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.

While her older brother Zack rises in the ranks of SOLDIER, Dalia Fair is one of the biggest Idol’s Midgar has ever seen! All seems well for the siblings, till the Whispers appear and try to kill Dalia. Now brother and sister must unrevail ShinRa’s dark secrets and why Dalia is an anomaly in the eyes of the spectral beings.

Or:

Zack has a younger sister whom the Whispers want to get rid of because they must protect the sacred canon.

Spoiler Alert: Dalia won't let herself get killed or erased by the spooky grim reapers wannabe!

Also, canon who, it's her show now!

Anomaly

Chapter One: Idol-Sama

Zack knew what he was doing was wrong.

Departing without notifying his parents, solely to pursue his aspirations of becoming a hero, was unwise.

However, he couldn't remain in Gongaga; only by joining ShinRa Corp's SOLDIER program in Midgard would he realize his dream.

The raven-haired youth sighed deeply and placed a hand over his mouth as he attempted to slip out undetected.

The prospect of being caught by either parent or worse yet, HIS sister - who despite being two years younger possessed an impressive swing - loomed ominously.

He had dedicated himself to teaching her how to fight so that she wouldn't be relegated to the role of damsel-in-distress; contrary to popular belief, Zack knew that she wasn't fragile like a flower – far from it!

When Dalia was born, she fell gravely ill. The esteemed physician, Old Doc Brown, even feared for her survival. However, he sensed within his sister a tenacious spirit and remained by her side for three days straight, holding her tiny hand and urging her to fight on. Despite the despair in their parents' eyes, Zack refused to give up hope on Dalia's recovery. His unwavering faith was vindicated as she gradually regained strength.

Zack beamed with pride at his little sister's resilience - an indomitable force of nature despite their parents' overprotectiveness.

Therefore, it came as no surprise when he found her waiting for him in front of their home - blue eyes fixed squarely upon him and hands firmly planted on hips - sporting a fierce scowl that only added to her already formidable presence.

"And where do you think are going?", she inquired.

Until his death, he vehemently denied his whining.

 "Dali, Lia, my precious songbird-"

"Flattery will not get you anywhere, Zack-Nii!"

"Imoto, please understand. I must go! I cannot become a hero here!"

Dalia scrunched up her adorable nose and let out a huff of frustration.

"You do not seem like much of a hero to me if you run away from home in the middle of the night without so much as a goodbye or letter left for me!"

Now he truly whined; the sight of disappointment on his sister's face was unbearable.

 "I’m sorry, Imoto-Chan," Zack began.

"Just stop right there, Zachery," his sister interrupted sharply.

Oh no, he realized with a sinking feeling as she used his full name - this was serious. It seemed that things were not looking good for Zack.

As Dalia made her proclamation, "You have two options before I start screaming for Ma and Pa! Option one: turn around and get inside; never try to leave me again. Option two: leave a goodbye letter and we will go."

The older boy couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"We?!" He almost shouted but caught himself in time; there was no need to wake up the whole neighbourhood or alert their parents.

His little sister nodded vigorously, causing her spiky locks to bounce - another shared trait between them - while pointing at a bag by her feet. "If you go, I go! We are a team Nii-Chan! I won't be separated from you. You are the only person who treats me like an equal rather than some sick child."

"You're not sick; you're strong and clever- how did you manage to escape before me?" Zack complimented her with a grin.

Dalia grinned back mischievously.  "I had an excellent teacher who sometimes makes questionable decisions."

Zack knew he deserved that jab at his character- it wasn't easy being the older sibling responsible for taking care of someone younger than him all the time after all...

"Shall we proceed now?" inquired the little girl, extending her hand to him.

"And what about the letter for Ma and Pa?" he wondered aloud.

The mischievous grin on her face returned as she replied, "I have already left one."

He snorted in amusement at his own naivety and took her hand as they embarked on their journey together.

"So I intend to join ShinRa and become a SOLDIER. What are your plans for Midgar, Dali?"

She squeezed his hand tightly before whispering conspiratorially, "I aim to become the biggest Idol that Midgar has ever seen!"

"Idol-Sama, Idol-Sama! Rosethorne? For goodness sake, Dalia, wake up!"

With a hefty yawn, Dalia Fair arises from the couch in her backstage room and stretches herself. She had dozed off - how peculiar that she dreamt about the time she ran away with Zack.

"Rosethorne!", the voice called out her stage name.

Dalia rubbed her drowsy eyes.

It seemed to be Amelia, her manager's voice.

Oh yes, it was Amelia!

"Hey Amelia, what is happening?"

The brown-haired woman facepalmed at Dalia while grumbling something about why she was stuck with such an unruly child - hey!

"You have a photo shoot in 30 minutes, Dalia. Get ready quickly," Amelia said with a stern expression.

Dalia groaned and checked her PHS for any messages or notifications.

Thus far, solely her cherished sibling had sent her a message.

A meme featuring a chocobo that elicited an amused snort from her.

Zack unfailingly knew how to lift her spirits.

The idol resolved to dispatch a brief message to her brother.

Songbird: Hey Nii-Chan, isn't Mister Angeal giving you a run for your money? You'll never advance beyond Second-Class SOLDIER if you're preoccupied with memes!

The response arrived promptly.

Puppydog: I'm on break! Kunsel says hi. Don't you have something to do, Imoto-Chan?

Blast it all!

Dalia hastily freshened up and donned the attire hanging on the door before adorning herself with makeup and affixing her crimson wig.

She couldn't help but ponder what mischief Zack was getting into at ShinRa today; it was nothing short of miraculous that he'd achieved even Third-Class SOLDIER status thanks to his mentor Angeal Hewley despite having caused significant damage during his acclimation period.

"Dalia, we must go now!" Amelia hollered from outside the door, rudely interrupting Dalia's thoughts.

With that said, Dalia retrieved her purse and accompanied Amelia out of the room in readiness for another day masquerading as Rosethorne - an idol worshipped by legions yet known by few except for Zack himself.

It suited Dalia just fine since she could lead a normal life as a sister to a SOLDIER without having crazed devotees swarming about while also experiencing life as an idol with fame and love from her fans.

As they stepped out of the building, Dalia couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over her.

Another successful photoshoot was completed without any hiccups.

She glanced at Amelia who was checking her PHS, probably making sure everything was in order for their next appointment.

Dalia's mind drifted back to Zack and she wondered what he was up to now. She quickly pulled out her PHS and sent him a message.

Songbird: Hey Nii-Chan, how's your day going so far? Any interesting missions?

She waited for a response but none came. She shrugged it off and slipped her phone back into her purse. He would message her when he had time or he would tell her when they were both home.

As they made their way to the car, Dalia thought about how lucky she was to have a sibling like Zack. Despite his antics and carefree attitude, he always managed to make her laugh and forget about any troubles she had.

The car ride was quiet as both Dalia and Amelia were lost in their own thoughts. Dalia couldn't wait to get home and take off the wig that was starting to itch her scalp.

As they arrived at their destination, Dalia took a deep breath before stepping out of the car. Another day as Rosethorne awaited her, but for now, she just wanted to relax and be herself with Zack by her side.

Amelia playfully inquired of Dalia if she was prepared to showcase her latest single.

Dalia responded with a smile, affirming that she had been eagerly awaiting this moment.

She went on to explain that the song held a special place in her heart and she couldn't wait to share it with everyone.

Observing Dalia's excitement, Amelia nodded in agreement - clearly just as thrilled for the performance.

As the lights dimmed and the crowd cheered, Dalia transformed into Rosethorne - embodying her Idol-Persona.

The red-haired vixen donned a short black sparkle dress adorned with a single red rose, knee-high white socks and black high heels featuring small roses.

Gloved hands grasped the microphone before taking a deep breath and beginning to sing.

The melody flowed effortlessly from her lips as she poured her heart into each word; it became increasingly evident that this was more than just a performance - it was an emotional journey that resonated with every member of the audience.

By the time Rosethorne finished singing, every member of the audience was standing on their feet applauding wildly.

It was clear that Rosethorne's music had touched them deeply leaving them inspired and uplifted.

As Rosethorne stood there beaming from ear to ear, she felt grateful for sharing her music with such enthusiastic fans.

In response to the enthusiastic demands of the audience for more music, Rosethorne graciously delivered some of her classic Number One hits.

The crowd was elated and joined in with her, their voices melding together in a beautiful harmony. The atmosphere was electric as the entire room filled with joy and the sound of music. Rosethorne's energy and passion were absolutely infectious, leaving all members of the audience craving more of her amazing tracks.

As she wrapped up her final song, there was a collective sigh from everyone present that it had come to an end.

However, Rosethorne had made an unforgettable impression on each person who was lucky enough to witness her performance that night.

Expressing her gratitude, Rosethorne exclaimed into the microphone and humbly bowed down. Applause reverberated throughout the room accompanied by joyous cheers and exclamations of adoration.

Smiling radiantly, she blew kisses to her devoted fans before announcing a special opportunity for one lucky audience member to meet with her for five minutes.

With bated breath, the crowd anticipated as she paused momentarily before calling out in suspenseful triumph: “The spotlight is on seat number 77!”

The occupant occupying seat 77 exhibited extreme shock, as evidenced by their reaction.

Rosethrone observed that the youthful gentleman with spiky blond locks and piercing azure eyes turned pallid like a sheet of paper.

Despite his condition, she couldn't help but notice how strikingly handsome he appeared; if she had to guess, he was her agemate.

So 14?

It seemed apparent that he wished to be anywhere else but here.

This piqued Rosethrone's interest; such a response was novel to her experience as normally her admirers would jump for joy or even faint (one time someone foamed out of their mouth), however, this particular reaction was quite intriguing indeed.

She walked towards him, her heels clicking against the polished floor.

As she approached, he looked up at her with a mixture of fear and awe in his eyes.

Rosethrone smiled warmly at him, trying to put him at ease.

"Don't worry," she said softly. "I won't bite."

The audience chuckled at her joke, but the young man didn't seem to find it funny.

"Come on," she said, holding out her hand. "Let's go backstage and chat for a bit."

He hesitated for a moment before taking her hand and standing up from his seat.

Together, they walked towards the back of the room as the crowd cheered them on.

Once they were alone in the green room, Rosethrone offered him a bottle of water and sat down next to him on the couch.

"So," she began, "what's your name?"

He told her his name was Cloud.

Cloud Strife.

Who named their son Cloud, she wanted to ask, but had a feeling he was asked that a lot and it would annoy him.

All in all, he really seemed to not want to be here.

Rosethrone cleared her throat, attempting to alleviate the tension in the air. "So, Cloud," she inquired, "what brings you here today?"

Cloud shifted uncomfortably on the couch before responding. "I... I obtained tickets from one of my comrades...he couldn't attend and no one else had time or said their girlfriend wouldn't allow them to go to the concert of the Beautiful Rose of Midgar, their words not mine," he whispered softly.

"Comrades, are you affiliated with ShinRa?", she asked with interest.

 "Yes Ma'am erm Idol-Sama?"

"We are the same age; Rosethrone is fine."

"Erm, right, okay. Yes I'm a part of ShinRa. I aspire to become a SOLDIER!"

Wow! What an unexpected surprise it was that a SOLDIER candidate would be her guest.

Did he know Zack?

Unfortunately, she could not ask him since no one could know who Rosethorne truly was.

Rosethrone listened attentively as Cloud shared his aspirations for becoming a SOLDIER and described his training process. Despite his initial reluctance to be there, she sensed determination in his voice. As they conversed further, she became increasingly impressed by this young man's character.

Then Cloud realized how much he had been talking about himself and turned adorably red-faced. "I apologize for prattling on about my SOLDIER training without letting you speak at all," he whined slightly.

The young Idol waved it away."No problem at all! You didn't want to waste the ticket and just went ahead with attending anyway", she said."Well, I hope you're satisfied with your prize."

Cloud shook his head vigorously."No, no! It's just...it's all so overwhelming," he admitted."I'm not good with people."

Rosethrone smiled kindly at him."I understand exactly how you feel", she told him."Sometimes, it can be tough believing that all of this is real."

Cloud looked incredulous when hearing this statement. He asked hesitatingly, "You feel like that too?"

Rosethrone nodded affirmatively once more."Of course!" she exclaimed; "Don't get me wrong- I adore what I do, and am grateful for each fan, but sometimes, it can simply be too much."

They both sat silently for some time until Rosethorne spoke again: "Do you have any questions for me?"

The young men hesitated momentarily before nodding slowly ."Um, yes actually...How did music come into your life?”

Rosenthorn grinned broadly as she began recounting her origin story.

She explained how singing and performing were always passions but never thought it possible career-wise until Amelia, her manager heard her singing on the streets, was charmed by her voice, and took her under contract immediately after discovering her talent.

After a while, Rosethrone realized that their five minutes were up. She stood up from the couch and offered her hand to Cloud, who took it hesitantly. "It was really nice meeting you, Cloud," she said with a smile. "I hope you achieve your dreams."

Cloud nodded gratefully before turning to leave.

As he walked away, Rosethrone couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for him.

She had met many fans over the years, but there was something special about this one.

Perhaps it was his determination or the fact that he didn't fawn over her like so many others did.

Whatever it was, Rosethrone knew that she would never forget meeting Cloud Strife.

And who knows? Maybe one day she would see him again - perhaps even in the newspaper as a full-fledged member of SOLDIER.

Finally, Dalia was home!

With a groan she took off her shoes and jacket, walking into the living room like a zombie.

Zack was already there, playing on his Gamestation.

“Hey Imoto-Chan, rough day?”, he asked grinning.

She just hit him over the head with a pillow from the couch.

“Hey, for what was that for?!”

“Zachery, I had a photo shoot, a concert, then two interviews, one for the television and one for the newspaper, while wearing high heels, I’m this close to murdering someone.”

Wisely her brother shut up and just kept on playing.

“What’s for dinner?”, she wondered, as she made her way into their kitchen, specifically looking for food.

There was a pizza carton.

“Again, pizza, Zack? I wanted Sushi.”

“How can you like the uncooked fish is beyond me.”

“How you can be a fit SOLDIER Third with the much pizza you eat is beyond ME!”

Groaning, Dalia opened the pizza carton and started eating, not bothering to heat it up.

Zack shrugged, "I didn't feel like cooking tonight."

"Well, I'm too tired to argue," Dalia said between bites.

As she ate, she thought about her upcoming schedule and sighed.

"I have another concert tomorrow night and a photo shoot early in the morning," she said to Zack who was still playing his game.

"Sounds like another busy day," he replied without looking away from the screen.

Dalia finished her pizza and went to take a shower, hoping it would help her relax after the long day she had just had.

After her shower, Dalia sat down at her desk to go over her schedule for the next few days.

She had a rehearsal with her band in the afternoon, followed by an interview with a music magazine.

Then, she had to attend a charity event in the evening.

The following day was even busier, with a radio interview early in the morning and a music video shoot later in the day.

Dalia felt overwhelmed just thinking about it all.

She knew she needed to stay focused and organized if she wanted to succeed in the music industry, but sometimes it felt like too much. She took a deep breath and reminded herself why she loved what she did - the rush of performing live, the connection with her fans, and the thrill of creating something new.

With renewed determination, Dalia got to work on preparing for her busy schedule ahead.

She made lists of everything she needed to do and packed her bags for each event.

As she drifted off to sleep that night, she felt ready to take on whatever challenges came her way - one concert, photo shoot, or interview at a time.

The young woman didn’t expect to face some kind of freakish grim reaper wannabe that night!

Obaa-Chan VS Uselessness

Obaa-Chan VS Uselessness

Sakura Haruno is and was a character who divided the Naruto Fandom. The most common argument against her was that she was useless. Now what one shall do if you are reborn as her? Our elderly MC for sure will do anything, do not be her!

Or:

An 85-year-old granny and Naruto Fan gets reborn into the Shinobi world as Sakura Haruno. Rejected canon and modeled herself after Mitsuri Kanroji from Demon Slayer.

Obaa-Chan VS Uselessness

Chapter 3: Work it

After finishing our lunch at Ichiraku Ramen, Naruto and I headed to the library to do some research. I needed to learn Kenjutsu and then how I could use Breathing Styles.

I highly doubt that something like Breathing Styles exists here.

Naruto the manga was way older than Demon Slayer and was already completed when Demon Slayer started.

Naruto, on the other hand, had no idea what he should do concretely and would follow my lead.

I decided Naruto needed to improve his chakra control. Secretly I would try to find something about the Kagebushin memory transfer, if I told him straight up, even Naruto would wonder from where I knew it.

As we were searching for books, I noticed a familiar figure sitting in the corner of the library.

It was Shikamaru, one of my old classmates who was known for his intelligence and laziness.

And also was the son of the Jonin Commander of Konoha...mmh maybe...?

I walked over to him and greeted him warmly. "Hey Shikamaru, what are you doing here?"

He looked up at me and gave me a lazy smile. "Just killing time, Sakura. What brings you here?"

"I'm doing some research with Naruto," I replied. "What about you?"

"Nothing much," he shrugged. "Just reading up on some strategies for shogi."

“Say maybe you can help us with something.”

“Mmh, sure?”

“Your dad is the Jonin Commander, right?”

He gave me a short nod.

“I heard from my parents that Kagebushin No Justu has some special abilities.”, I lied smoothly. “Sadly they couldn’t remember what, maybe you know...?”

“I just know that you can inherit the memories of the Kagebushin once it was dispelled. Does this help?”

“A lot, thank you!”

I nodded goodbye and went back to Naruto and our search for books.

After finding a few that could help us with our training, Naruto and I left the library and headed to a free training ground.

“Okay, Naruto, I learned something interesting about Kagebushin. Can you make a clone?”

“Sure, Sakura, what did you learn?”, he asked excitedly.

I gave him a secretive smile.

“It’s better when I show you.”

So Naruto got ahead and made his clone.

Or clones should I say?

Not one, like I requested, but three.

“Hehe, ups.”

The blond grinned sheepishly, rubbing his neck.

“Indeed, we need to work on your chakra control...okay you clone come with me.”

Clone One, as I decided to call him, followed me a bit away from Naruto and Clone Two and Three.

Then I whispered something in Clone One's ear which would greatly offend him.

Before he could lecture me, I hit him with a kunai dispelling him.

At the exact same moment, Naruto and his other clones got the memory and started shouting.

“How could I member of my team say something so horrible!”

“Sakura you eat with me two times at Ichiraku, how can you say Ramen is the worst!”

“It’s the food of the gods, Dattabayo!”

Smiling I wander over to the offended blonds telling them: “Now how do you know what I said to the other clone?”

All three of them blinked in confusion.

Okay, I need to spell it out.

“When a clone dispels, you inherit his memories, that’s means Naruto that you can learn faster and better than anyone.”

It took them three seconds before they started celebrating and shouting they would become Hokage soon.

“Alright, alright calm down. Now Naruto make as many clothes as you can and we will work on Chakra control today!”

Happily, he followed my request and the training ground was filled with at least over 100 maybe 200 clones.

I divided them into two groups.

One group would do the leaf exercise we had learned at the academy the others and the original would learn with me tree climbing.

Like in canon, I got tree climbing down in one go, which made all the Naruto’s pout, but I reassured him it was thanks to my small reserve that I had such huge control over my chakra.

While he needed to improve his chakra control, I needed bigger revers or when I tried the Kagebushin it would kill me.

So it meant walking down the tree up and down, till I hadn’t any chakra left.

We spent the rest of the afternoon training together.

It was nice having someone to train with who didn't judge me for being weaker physically than them.

As the sun began to set, we made our way back into the village.

I was nearing chakra exhausting, while Naruto, after slowly dispelling his clones, could also do the tree climbing.

We both celebrated.

Tomorrow after our first mission, we agreed to train more and I promised him, we would try water walking.

But for now, I was just happy that I had found a friend in Naruto and had started building a strong foundation for our team's success.

We waved goodbye to each other and walked to our respective homes.

It was night and I was standing in my room. I had an old training sword out of wood from Kizashi in my hand.

Turn out he had tried his hand at swordmanship when he was young but it hadn’t been for him.

Thankful he didn’t throw out the wooden sword.

Till I got a real Katana this was all I could practice with.

Careful I let the Chakra flow all over my body, especially in my lungs.

I could feel how they expanded more and got stronger.

I was going the right way it seemed.

Then I took a deep breath and began to move the wooden sword in fluid motions.

I would try Breathing Styles when I was out in a training field and not at home where I could break stuff.

The sound of it cutting through the air filled the room. I focused on my technique, making sure each movement was precise and intentional. As I continued to practice, my mind drifted to the day when I would finally hold a real Katana in my hands.

But for now, this training sword would have to do. I knew that mastering the basics with this simple tool was crucial before moving on to something more advanced. With each swing, I could feel myself getting stronger and more confident.

Hours passed by as I trained, lost in my own world of focus and determination. When I finally put down the wooden sword, sweat dripping down my face, I knew that I had made progress.

And tomorrow, I will pick it up again and continue on this path towards becoming a true swordsman.

I woke up early the next morning, eager to continue my training. I grabbed the wooden sword and headed outside to the training field. The air was cool and crisp, perfect for a morning practice session.

As I began my warm-up exercises, I couldn't help but think about how we would start the stupid D-Rank missions today.

Chores not more was that!

I still wonder what they were good for, there had to be a reason behind it. Besides keeping the Genin in a safe place, where they could use their skills without killing themselves or others.

I focused on my breathing as I started my practice routine, moving through each technique with precision and grace. The sound of the sword cutting through the air was like music to my ears, each strike bringing me one step closer to mastering this ancient art form.

Then it was time to meet up with Kakashi-Sensei, Sasuke and Naruto to get our Mission aka. A chore for the day from the Hokage.

The disappointment of Naruto and Sasuke as we got the mission was funny. They really thought we would be protecting a princess or assassinating a corrupted Daiymo.

As we arrived at the client's house, I could see that they were grateful for our help and eager to explain the task at hand. It was a simple job - guarding their shop while they went out of town for the day - but it still required focus and attention to detail.

We took turns patrolling the perimeter, keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity or potential threats. And even though nothing eventful happened during our shift, I felt proud knowing that we had done our part to protect the village and its citizens.

As we returned to the Hokage's office to report on our mission, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment wash over me. Maybe D-Rank missions weren't so bad after all - they were just another opportunity for us to prove ourselves as capable ninjas and valuable members of the community.

Or maybe it was just funny seeing Naruto and even Sasuke, albeit quietly complain about their first mission.

Kakashi-Sensei gave us an eye smile. “I’m proud my cute little Genin. We will meet tomorrow at the same time and get our next mission.”

And with that, he shushed away.

Sasuke walked home, not wanting to spend time with us.

I really need to come up with something so we can bond and make Sasuke stronger too.

I don’t want him to go to Orochimaru, just no, if we can avoid this a lot of later headaches get stopped.

Like yesterday Naruto and I had lunch, this time I dragged him to a Dango-Shop, too much ramen wasn’t good and then we trained together again.

Water walking was on the program and I was glad I told Naruto to take his swimwear with him, even with his clones he landed often enough in the water.

I was wearing a bathing suit too and, yeah, amazing chakra control, but the water was something different.

I needed more time to get it down.

At the end of the day, we were wet as freshly washed clothes, but water walking was down on our list too.

Amazing how Naruto excels with the right guidance.

I pat myself mentally on the shoulder.

And for a few weeks, this was my life.

My daily routine had become quite predictable - morning training with my wooden sword, followed by a D-Rank mission with Team 7, lunch with Naruto, and then more training in the afternoon.

However, I knew that I needed to mix things up if I wanted to keep improving.

I decided that I needed to bond more with Sasuke and find a way to make him stronger as well.

Maybe we could train together on our own time or find a common interest outside of missions.

As for Naruto, he was progressing rapidly under my guidance and we were now working on our fighting skills.

But first, it was time for my morning training session. I grabbed my wooden sword and headed outside to the training field. The cool morning air felt refreshing as I began my warm-up exercises before moving on to my techniques.

Later that day, we received another simple D-Rank mission - babysitting.

It wasn't the most exciting task but it gave us an opportunity to work together as a team.

Also, it was funny how the little girl was full fangirl for poor Sasuke.

I tried my best not to laugh at his misfortune, while Naruto openly laughed.

He stopped when little Kari-Chan kicked him in the balls.

Autsch.

After completing the mission, I decided to take Sasuke and Naruto out for some onigiri at a local shop.

It was important for us to bond as teammates and friends outside of missions.

I bet the Uchiha only came along because it was one of his favourite foods, besides tomatoes.

It was good that I still remember these little things from the Databooks.

I won’t lie it was awkward for all three of us.

Naruto and I already were the bested of friends, he even started to call me Nee-Chan, while Sasuke couldn’t connect with either of us.

He just ate his onigiri and then left.

In the following days, Naruto and I continued our training in fighting skills.

Naruto's progress was impressive but Sasuke still seemed distant from us.

I knew that we needed to find a way to connect with him on a deeper level if we wanted him to stay loyal to Konoha.

Overall, my life had become centered around training and missions but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Every day brought new challenges and opportunities for growth as a ninja.

It was so much different than my life before. I loved my life and my kids and grandchildren, yet having a second chance to live in such a fantastic world was something else.

Then came the day, I tried the Breathing Style.

My target was a simple wooden pole.

Trembling I hold my wooden sword in my hands.

This is it.

I let the chakra flow, take a deep breath and rush up to the pole.

“Total concretion! Love Breathing!”, I shouted getting closer and closer to my target. “First Form: Shivers of First Love!”

Two things happened.

With the help of chakra, the attack worked exactly like Mitsuri’s one in Demon Slayer, the single slash that winds through the target, hitting multiple areas with one slice.

The wooden pole was now a lot of little sticks.

And the second thing that happened...the technique was too much for my practice sword.

It turned into campfire sticks.

Damn it!

Well, at least I had the proof that Breathing Styles worked!

I just need a Katana now.

A Katana, which is really pricy.

I sign and check my hand for splitters.

Where should I get a Katana?

I decided to ask around for a good place to purchase a Katana.

I asked some of the older ninjas in the village and they recommended a blacksmith who had been making swords for generations.

I made my way to the blacksmith's shop and was greeted by an elderly man who introduced himself as Tetsuo.

He showed me some of his finest work and I was amazed by the craftsmanship.

I explained that I needed a Katana for training purposes and he nodded understandingly.

He showed me a few options that were within my budget and I finally settled on one that felt right in my hands.

It was beautifully crafted with intricate designs etched into the blade.

As I left the shop, I couldn't help but feel proud of my new acquisition.

It was a symbol of my dedication to becoming a true swordsman and it would serve as a reminder of all the hard work and training that lay ahead.

The next day, I met up with Naruto and Sasuke at our usual spot before heading out on our mission. As we walked towards our destination, Sasuke noticed my new Katana and raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Where did you get that?" he asked curiously.

"I went to see Tetsuo, the blacksmith," I replied proudly. "He's been making swords for generations."

Sasuke nodded approvingly, seemingly impressed by my choice of weapon.

For once, there seemed to be some common ground between us.

As we completed our mission for the day, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this newfound sense of camaraderie between us.

We still had a long way to go before we could truly call ourselves a team, but this was definitely progress in the right direction.

Nothing Is True

… Everything is permitted.

What is real?

What is not?

Is she just turning crazy or are other powers at work?

One thing is clear Kohana Haruno will get to the bottom of this and maybe change the whole Ninja-World at the same time.

S.I. Third Shinobi World War

Nothing Is True

Please read and review!

Happy reading!

Chapter 4: Sakuya

Ever since Sakuya woke up in the Shinobi World, she loathed her fragile body and yearned for her original strong and agile one. She had earned that body after years of hard work as a skilled assassin.

However, she was now stuck with this weak body due to the Piece of Eden prototype created by the Isu Hermes, which had transported her soul to this body that lived in a fictional world.

Well in her world the Five Shinobi Nations were fictional. Part of the Naruto Manga Series she had read in her free time.

As one of the last Auditore descendants from Claudia Auditore, Ezio Auditore's sister, Sakuya couldn't help but blame William Miles for this situation. Even though he was the Mentor, she felt like she should have refused the mission that led to her being sent to this foreign world.

Although she had lived as Haruno Sakuya, a shrine maiden for years, she longed for her old self.

Despite many attempts to strengthen herself and improve her Chakra control, it seemed like an impossible task.

Sakuya refused to accept that this was her fate and resolved to find a way to regain her former strength and agility. She spent countless hours training every day, pushing herself beyond limits until there was progress - stronger muscles, faster reflexes, and better Chakra control.

There were moments when doubt crept into her mind and made her want to give up.

However, Sakuya remembered all the people who depended on Carina Auditore's assassin skills and couldn't let them down. With determination and hard work, Sakuya honed her skills until they were sharper than ever before.

One day while standing atop a mountain overlooking the the shrine, Sakuya realized that although her body may have changed drastically, nothing could break her spirit. She accepted that she would never be the same person again but knew that didn't mean she couldn't be just as deadly in this new world.

With newfound purpose driving her forward through any challenge that came along the way.

***

With a gasp Kohana awakened from her slumber, she searched in the dark for her side table lab, till she found it and turned it on.

She blinked, thanks to the light that illuminated her room, a few times, then gripped after her glasses and put them on.

The young girl didn’t think that after reading Haruno Sakuya's diary, she would live the scenes OUT what the shrine maiden described.

And this was harmless.

Kohana still hadn’t reached the part where Sakuya would meet Senju Harashima and Uchiha Madara.

Well, okay harmless was relative.

A lot didn’t make sense for her.

Mostly that her ancestor was apparently born in another world named Carina Auditore, or her soul, and then her soul got transported here into the Five Shinobi Nations into the body of Haruno Sakuya, which only was possible because it was still her, only in an alternative life.

The green-haired girl had got a headache as she had read this.

She couldn’t even understand how her world could be a manga in another world!

And then a soul from another world slipped into their alternative self?

What?

After that, she had stopped reading.

It was too much.

Kohana sat there, staring at the diary on her side table. The idea of having an alternative self in another world was mind-boggling enough, but to have that self's soul transported into her own body? It was almost too much to comprehend.

And yet, as she looked around her room, everything seemed perfectly normal. The same posters on the walls, the same books on the shelf. It was hard to believe that there could be an entire other world out there, with people and places that she'd never even imagined.

Kohana couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this story than just simple diary entries. She knew that she had to keep reading, even if it didn't make sense at first. After all, who knows what other secrets and mysteries lay hidden within those pages? With a determined look on her face, Kohana picked up the diary and began to read once again. She was ready for whatever new revelations awaited her in the world of Haruno Sakuya.

As she delved deeper into the diary, Kohana couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Sakuya.

Despite being thrust into a completely foreign world with a body that was weak and unfamiliar, Sakuya refused to give up on herself or her abilities. She pushed herself to the limit every day and never lost sight of her goal to regain her former strength and agility. It was inspiring to see someone with such determination and willpower.

Kohana also couldn't help but wonder about the Piece of Eden prototype that had caused all of this.

What kind of technology could transport someone's soul from one body to another, let alone between different worlds? It seemed like something out of science fiction rather than reality.

But as she continued reading, Kohana realized that there were more questions than answers. Who was William Miles, and why did Sakuya blame him for her situation? What was so special about being descended from this Claudia Auditore? And most importantly, how did all of this tie into the Naruto manga series that Sakuya had mentioned?

Kohana knew that she needed more information if she wanted to understand everything fully.

She made a mental note to research the Isu Hermes and Piece of Eden prototype further, as well as any possible connections between the Naruto universe and Sakuya's world.

Perhaps by piecing together these clues, she could uncover the truth behind Sakuya's story and what it meant for her own life.

With renewed curiosity and determination, Kohana turned back to the diary and continued reading until the early hours of the morning.

As she finally drifted off to sleep, she couldn't help but wonder what other secrets lay hidden within those pages waiting to be discovered.

***

Sakuya wanders the streets of Konohagakure in search of Madara.

Stupid, she had been stupid.

Drunk in love and thought loving the Uchiha Clan Head would have been enough to rewrite the whole Naruto story.

She was better than this. In her former life as an assassin, she had learned that some people never changed their minds when it was discussed how to create true peace.

That's why the Assassins and Templars fought against each other for centuries.

An idea didn't die, it took root in another person.

A bitter laugh left her lips.

If they were in her birth place Madara surely would have been a Templar.

It reminds her too much of the story of the French assassin Arno Dorian who had loved the Templar Elise de la Serre.

And how did it end?

In death for Elise and heartbreak for Arno.

No, Sakuya wouldn't let that turn out the same for Madara and herself.

She needed to convince him that Black Zetsu was not his creation but the will of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki and that the black mass was using Madara as a puppet for his own plan to revive "his mother".

The question was how?

Could she use her ruse so that she could see the future and tell him she saw all this?

The problem was Madara didn't believe that she could see the future.

He was right of course, she only knew what happened in this world because it had been a story in her birthplace.

When it diverted she was just as clueless as anybody else.

Sakuya walked through the crowded streets, her mind racing with thoughts and plans. She knew that convincing Madara would be no easy task, but she was determined to try. After all, she had come this far and had worked too hard to give up now.

As she made her way towards the Uchiha District, Sakuya couldn't help but think about how different things were in this world compared to her own.

In her birthplace, the Assassin-Templar conflict was a constant battle for power and control. But here in the Shinobi World, it was a battle between different nations and clans.

Sakuya also couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt for allowing herself to fall in love with Madara. It was foolish of her to think that their love could change everything. But now she knew better - true peace could only be achieved through understanding and compromise.

Finally reaching Madara's chamber, Sakuya took a deep breath before entering. The room was dark and silent except for Madara's heavy breathing as he slept.

Sakuya approached him cautiously, not wanting to startle him awake. She gently touched his shoulder, causing him to stir slightly.

"Madara," she whispered softly. "We need to talk."

Madara opened his eyes slowly and looked at Sakuya with confusion.

"What is it?" he asked groggily.

Sakuya took a deep breath before speaking. "Black Zetsu is not your creation," she said firmly. "It is the will of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, using you as a puppet for its own plan."

The black-haired man sat up quickly, his eyes widening in shock and disbelief.

"How do you know this?" he demanded.

She hesitated for a moment before replying confidently, "I have seen it in my visions of the future."

He looked at her sceptically but seemed intrigued by what she had said.

"Tell me more," he said eagerly.

And so Sakuya began to explain everything she knew about Black Zetsu and Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's plan. As she spoke, Madara listened intently and asked questions when needed.

By the end of their conversation, Madara seemed convinced that what Sakuya had told him was true.

"I never thought I would say this," he said slowly. "But perhaps you are right."

Sakuya smiled inwardly at his words but kept her composure on the outside.

"Thank you for listening," she replied simply before turning to leave.

As she walked away from Madara's chamber, Sakuya couldn't help but feel relieved that their conversation had gone well.

But there was still much work to be done if they were going to stop Black Zetsu's plan once and for all.

With renewed determination burning within her heart, Sakuya continued on her path towards true peace - whatever that may entail...........

............Mito Uzumaki leaned heavily on her after she sealed the Kyuubi into herself, but Sakuya didn't mind that her dear friend needed her help standing.

She needed someone to lean on too.

Here it was the freshly created Valley of the End.

Were Hashirama and Madara fighting over their ideals.

Tears streamed down the shrine maiden/assassin's cheeks.

She thought Madara had understood...had changed his mind...how could canon happen after their talk?

Hashirama looked sadly at her.

"I'm sorry Saku-Chan.", he mubled and dried his own tears with a hand. "I tried to speak to Madara, I tried to convince him not to leave us...he didn't give me any choice."

"Husband, he sent the Kyuubi No Yokai after you, he intended to destroy Konoha, you did right to kill him.", told Mito.

Both Hashirama and Sakuya winced.

"I know you both loved Madara in your own ways, but he was beyond saving because he didn't want to be saved.", continued Mito.

Sakuya nodded silently, her heart heavy with grief and regret. She had hoped that her talk with Madara would have changed things, but it seemed like he was too far gone to be saved.

The fact that he had resorted to such extreme measures as sending the Kyuubi after Hashirama only proved that he was beyond redemption.

As she looked out at the valley where Hashirama and Madara had fought, Sakuya couldn't help but wonder if things could have been different. If only they had found a way to understand each other's perspectives and work towards a common goal. But now it was too late for regrets - all she could do was honour Madara's memory in her own way.

"I will make sure that your sacrifice was not in vain," she whispered softly to herself.

Hashirama placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, his eyes filled with compassion.

"We will always remember him," he said solemnly. "And we will continue to strive for peace in his honour."

Sakuya nodded, feeling grateful for the support of her friends during this difficult time. Although she knew that there would be more challenges ahead, she felt stronger knowing that they were by her side.

Together, they stood in silence at the Valley of the End, honouring the legacy of those who had fought for their beliefs and paving the way for a brighter future.

***

This time when Kohana woke up it was with tears in her eyes.

She had felt the heartbreak of Sakuya like it was her own.

It sadden her that her ancestor had to go through this.

How devastating that Sakuya couldn't have changed destiny's course, but maybe Kohana could do it.

Her vision had shown anybody much older than they were now...she had more time.

Kohana wouldn't waste it.

Protecting Rin.

Helping Obito to stay on the right path.

Taking care of Madara Uchiha...she didn't know why but she knew he was still alive...searching for someone who would complete his Eye of the Moon Plan.

The one being Obito.

Madara wouldn't get him in his grappy hands!

Then she needed to destroy this Black Zetsu and this strange Statue who ate Tailed Beasts for breakfast.

The goal was clear...become the greatest Ninja that she could.

She would need to be extremely powerful if she wanted to succeed.

Kohana wiped away her tears and sat up in bed, feeling a newfound determination burning within her. She would train every day, push herself beyond her limits, and never give up on her goals.

As she got out of bed and began her morning routine, the green-haired girl couldn't help but feel excited for what lay ahead. She knew that there would be challenges and obstacles along the way, but with hard work and determination, she was ready to face them head-on.

The future may be uncertain, but she was ready to shape it into something better - not just for herself, but for all those who came before her and those who would come after.

And that was when she felt a burning in her eyes.

Pained she closed and rubbed them softly.

What was that now?

As the pain stopped, she opened her eyes and had to gasp for air.

All was black around her, her things like her bed, in white colours.

She looked more around and noted how Sakuya's diary shimmered in gold.

Like it was something important.

What was this all?

"Eagle-Vision...", came out the words, before she even thought of them. "This is Eagle-Vision!"

It was a strange sensation, but one that she knew deep down could be incredibly useful in her training as a ninja. She looked around her room again, noting how different everything looked through the lens of Eagle Vision.

The diary on her side table seemed to glow with otherworldly energy, and even the posters on her walls had a faint aura surrounding them.

She closed her eyes and concentrated, trying to focus on the world around her through this new perspective.

As she did so, she could feel her senses sharpening and becoming more attuned to the environment.

She opened her eyes again and felt a surge of excitement - this was going to be a game-changer in her journey towards becoming the greatest ninja she could be.

With newfound determination and confidence, Kohana began to plan out her training regimen for the coming weeks and months.

She knew that there would be many challenges ahead, but with Eagle Vision at her disposal, there was nothing that she couldn't overcome.

And who knows - maybe someday she would even be able to use this newfound ability to uncover more secrets about Sakuya's story and the mysteries that lay hidden within its pages.

For now, though, Kohana was content knowing that she had taken another step forward on her path towards greatness.

Chapter 4: Searching for answers

The Fair Siblings walked in silence for a while, lost in their own thoughts. As they made their way back to their apartment, Dalia couldn't help but think about Cloud and the strange events that had brought them together. She wondered if they would ever find out the truth behind the Whispers and what destiny had in store for them.

Zack seemed to sense her unease and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"We'll figure this out," he said reassuringly. "We always do."

Dalia nodded, feeling grateful for her brother's support. She knew that they were in this together and that no matter what happened, they would face it as a team.

As they reached their apartment complex, Dalia felt a sense of relief wash over her.

They were home, safe from the dangers of the outside world - at least for now. She looked up at Zack and smiled gratefully.

"Thanks for having my back."

"Always," he replied before ruffling her hair playfully. "Now let's get some rest and we'll start working on our plan tomorrow."

She nodded eagerly, feeling more hopeful than she had before.

With Zack by her side and a plan in place, she knew that they could overcome any obstacle - even destiny itself.

***

Meanwhile on the SOLDIER floor of the ShinRa building one Angeal Hewley rubbed tired his eyes.

He was still in his office, researching on his computer.

What Zack and little Dalia told him, worried him endlessly, even if he didn’t show the kids when they had visited him.

Dalia being hunted down by the Whispers, the legendary beings who protected faith's course and eliminated any obstacle which diverged it, scarred him.

He was scared for little Dalia. She still was only 14, barely had left her childhood behind, and wasn't a fighter.

Angeal knew his protege Zack would do anything to protect his sister, but he couldn’t be around her anytime.

What if the Whispers attacked her while she was performing as the Idol Rosethrone and Zack was with him away on a mission?

No, he didn’t want to think about that. The thought alone was chilling.

So after work, he stayed in his office and searched the Database of ShinRa for anything about the Whispers.

There wasn’t much which he didn’t know and the rest was classified.

What should he do?

Angeal leaned back in his chair and let out a deep sigh.

He had to do something to help her.

Anything.

Not only for her but also for Zack.

The SOLDIER First Rang didn’t want to imagine how his protege would react if something happened to his sister.

Suddenly, an idea struck him.

He quickly typed a message on his computer and sent it to his childhood friend Genesis Rhapsodos.

Genesis was known for his extensive knowledge of ancient legends and myths, and Angeal hoped that he could shed some light on the Whispers.

As he waited for a reply, Angeal couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He had always been one to follow orders and stay within the confines of ShinRa's rules, yet this situation was different.

He knew that if he didn't act soon, Dalia could be in grave danger.

Just then, his computer beeped with an incoming message from Genesis.

I’m on my way, old friend.

Huh, Genesis is still in the building too?

Angeal thought he already had gone home.

His office door opened and not only Genesis but also Sephiroth walked in.

“That’s a surprise.”, said Angeal, looking at his two friends. “I thought only you would come Genesis.”

“Sephiroth read rudely over my shoulder, when I got your message.”, explained the red-haired SOLDIER First with a huff.

The black-haired haired fought off a grin as he saw how Sephiroth rolled his eyes.

“I didn’t think helping our friend was something classified.”, rebuked the Silver General dry as the dessert.

“Pride is lost, Wings stripped away, the end is nigh.”, counter Genesis with a Loveless quote.

“Alright, alright you two, calm down.”, told them Angeal. “I assume you both being here means you know something about the Whispers?”

He looked at his two friends, hoping they had some information that could help Dalia. Genesis took a seat on the couch while Sephiroth leaned against the wall, arms crossed.

"We know a little," Genesis began, "The Whispers are ancient beings that have existed since the beginning of time. They protect the course of destiny and eliminate anything that threatens it."

Sephiroth nodded in agreement. "They have been known to intervene in major events throughout history, ensuring that things go according to plan."

Angeal listened intently, feeling a sense of dread wash over him.

"But why are they after Dalia? What does she have to do with destiny?" he asked.

The Crimson Commander shrugged. "That's unclear, but it's possible that her role as Rosethrone has something to do with it. The Whispers may see her as an obstacle or a threat to their plans."

Angeal sighed heavily, feeling more worried than ever before. "So what can we do?"

Sephiroth spoke up this time. "We need more information about their motives and their methods of operation. We also need to find out if there's any way to stop them."

Angeal nodded slowly, feeling a glimmer of hope at Sephiroth's words. With his two closest friends by his side and a plan forming in his mind, he knew they could protect Dalia from whatever fate had in store.

“Well we could start here.”, said Angeal feeling a bit unwell. This was directly going against ShinRa's orders. It didn’t make him feel good. “There is some classified information ShinRa has on the Whispers, but I don’t have the clearing for them. Maybe one of you...?”

Both his friends walked over, to read what was written on his computer.

Suddenly Sephiroth growled: “That Security Seal...that’s the one from the Science Department.”

He didn’t need to say more.

Genesis and Angeal made a face.

So Hojo had some information on the Whispers.

Of course, it would be the obsessed scientist who would have the answer for them.

Angeal's stomach churned at the thought of involving Hojo in this. He knew firsthand how twisted and dangerous the man could be. But if it meant protecting Dalia, he was willing to take the risk.

"Can we trust him?", Angeal asked, his voice laced with concern.

Genesis scoffed. "Of course not, but desperate times call for desperate measures."

Sephiroth nodded in agreement before turning to Angeal. "We'll go see him tomorrow and see what he knows."

Angeal nodded reluctantly, knowing that they didn't have much time to waste.

The Whispers were closing in on Dalia and they needed all the information they could get to protect her.

With a heavy heart, Angeal closed his computer and stood up from his desk.

They had a long day ahead of them tomorrow, but for now, he just wanted to go home and rest - if he could sleep at all with the weight of their mission bearing down on him.

Once upon a time, she didn’t mind showing her face but after all things that happened...

She was thankful for the long black coat with the hood Elmyra had made for her.

The hood over her head gave her a sense of security, something she hadn’t experienced anymore since Zack...since Zack's disappearance.

Dalia walked the street of the Slums of Sector 5 in the direction of a special church.

Aerith forgot time again.

She would collect her sister-in-law and then they could go home to Elmyra.

Suddenly she felt a chill down her spine.

She knew what this meant.

Dramatically Dalia reached for her bow and an arrow.

A Whisper was before her, she shot at the apparition with precision and it vanished.

“Better luck next time, asshole.”, she spat.

Was it sad that she learned to live with the Whispers who followed her every step?

She couldn't help but feel a sense of anger and frustration towards these beings that seemed to be constantly after her.

It was exhausting to always be on guard and ready to fight at any moment.

As she approached the church, she saw Aerith waiting for her outside.

The two sisters-in-law embraced each other tightly, grateful for each other's company in this dangerous world.

"I'm sorry I'm late," Aerith said apologetically. "I lost track of time again."

Dalia smiled, feeling a sense of calm wash over her in Aerith's presence.

"It's okay," she reassured her sister-in-law. "I just had a run-in with a Whisper on my way here."

Aerith's face fell with worry. "Are you okay?"

Dalia nodded, patting the bow and quivering on her back for emphasis. "I'm fine, thanks to the arrows you blessed.”

The brunette woman nodded in agreement before both women jumped into the air.

Something had crashed through the roof of the church!

“Aerith, stay behind me!”, commande Dalia, getting bow and arrow ready.

Together they walked into the church, ready for anything.

Well almost.

The black-haired woman didn’t expect to see HIM in Aerith's flower field!

“CLOUD!”, shouted Dalia and raced over to him.

“You know him?!”, wonder Aerith, still not coming near.

Dalia kneeled over the knocked-out blond man and cried openly.

Five years...

Five years it had been since she last saw him!

When he got with Zack to this mission neither of them returned from.

And now he was here!

She gently caressed his cheek, her tears falling on his face.

“Is this the Cloud you talked about, Lia?”, wondered Aerith, walking up to them. “The one who was your love and was with Zack on this damned mission he is still missing from?”

Not sure she could talk, Dalia nodded at her sister-in-law.

A gasp left Aerith's mouth.

“Do you think...”

“That he must know where Zack is? I bet! They both have to explain some things.”

It’s then that Dalia noted how the man under her hands started to wake up.

“Cloud.”, she whispered softly.

His eyes opened slowly and the black-haired woman had nearly a heart attack.

Mako eyes!

But Cloud wasn’t a SOLDIER!

Come to think of it, why was he dressed as one?

Cloud was now fully awake.

What Dalia saw in his eyes scared her.

No recognition whatsoever.

How was that possible?

“Cloud?”

“Who are you?”, he said, which broke Dalia's heart in a million pieces. “How do you know my name?”

Confused Dalia sat up on her bed and rubbed her face.

There were tears flowing down her cheeks.

What a strange dream she had!

Who was this Aerith?

Since when was Dalia good at archery?

Why did Cloud not recognize her?

Why did her brain make her dream such nonsense?

Argh, it was frustrating!

Dalia shook her head, trying to clear the remnants of the dream from her mind.

It had felt so real, but she knew it was all just a figment of her imagination. She glanced at the clock on her nightstand and groaned - it was still early in the morning. She tried to go back to sleep, but her mind kept wandering back to the dream.

She couldn't help but wonder what it all meant.

Was it some sort of sign or premonition?

Or was it just her mind playing tricks on her?

Dalia sighed heavily, feeling more confused than ever before.

As she lay there in bed, lost in thought, she heard a knock on her door.

"Dalia? Are you awake?"

It was Zack's voice.

She quickly wiped away her tears and called out, "Yeah, I'm up."

Her brother walked into the room and sat down on the edge of her bed.

"You okay?" he asked, concern etched on his face.

The younger Fair nodded slowly. "Yeah, just had a weird dream."

"Want to talk about it?"

She hesitated for a moment before deciding to tell him about the dream.

As she spoke, Zack listened intently and when she finished he looked thoughtful.

"Hmm," he said after a moment's pause. "Maybe it means something."

Dalia rolled her eyes playfully. "Or maybe it's just my brain being weird."

Zack chuckled softly before standing up from the bed. "Well, either way, we've got work to do today."

The girl nodded eagerly, grateful for the distraction from her strange dream.

Angeal, Genesis and Sephiroth stand before the door of the science department.

You could clearly see in their faces that neither wanted to go in and talk with Hojo about the Whispers.

“My friend, do you fly away now?”, asked Genesis.

“No, someone has to go to Hojo. Zack is my pupil, Dalia his sister, I should enter.”, said Angeal.

That’s when Sephiroth raised a hand.

“I should talk to the man.”, he reminded his friends. “I know him better than you both, I will detect if he is lying or hiding something from me.”

“Sephiroth I can’t possibly ask you to do this.”

“What are friends for?”

The silver-haired man gave Angeal a tiny smile, which warmed his heart.

He was glad to have such a good friend in Sephiroth.

“What are going to tell the slimeball.”, asked Genesis in curiosity.

Sephiroth nearly spat: “I will tell him I had encounters with the Whispers, I won’t tell him anything about the Fair siblings, they don’t need to attract Hojo's interest. Hojo will surely tell me something since his most precious specimen is in danger.”

Both Angeal and Genesis looked worried for their friend, even if Genesis would deny it.

“I hate it when you talk like that about yourself.”, signed Angeal.

The Silver General just waved a hand and entered the room, while Angeal and Genesis waited for him.

As Sephiroth entered the room, he couldn't help but feel a sense of disgust wash over him. The smell of chemicals and decay filled his nostrils, making him want to gag.

He saw Hojo sitting at his desk, surrounded by vials and test tubes. The man looked up as Sephiroth approached him, a smug grin on his face.

"Well, well, if it isn't my favourite experiment," Hojo said in a sickeningly sweet voice. "What brings you here today?"

Sephiroth fought to keep his composure as he spoke. "I've had some encounters with the Whispers recently and I was wondering if you knew anything about them."

Hojo's expression turned serious at the mention of the Whispers.

"What do you know about them?" he asked sharply.

The silver-haired man narrowed his eyes, sensing that the creepy scientist knew more than he was letting on.

"Not much," he replied calmly. "But I thought you might have some information that could be useful."

Hojo hesitated for a moment before reaching for a file on his desk. He handed it to Sephiroth with a warning look in his eye.

"This is classified information," he said sternly. "You better not let anyone else see it."

The SOLDIER First nodded curtly before turning to leave the room.

As he walked out, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something off about Hojo's behaviour and that never was something good.
