I love her writing so much

sighs heavily. this is so self-indulgent. but i’m offering to y’all. marcanne fluff? marcanne fluff.

“your fingers are so small,” anne breathes.

marcy glances up with a sleepy little hum, watching the shadows dance across anne’s face. she has one of marcy’s hands in both of her own, toying with her fingers. they’re all tangled up together - laying in bed after a long day of work for the both of them, waiting for sasha to get home - and this is always marcy’s favorite part of the day. she wouldn’t trade her anne cuddles for the world.

“they’re not that small,” she argues, mostly so she can see the way anne’s eyes grow fond. “they’re normal sized fingers! about average for a woman my age, you know.”

“teeny,” anne teases, and she brings marcy’s hand to her lips, trailing little kisses against the pads of marcy’s fingers. “so small. absolutely tiny. tiny fingers for a tiny girlfriend.”

“anne,” marcy whines petulantly, though she can’t help but giggle incessantly as anne keeps kissing her hands. her lips tickle, but they’re warm, so warm, and the mixed sensations has marcy snorting with laughter, her cheeks flushed a pleasant red.

“awe, is marbles mad at me?” anne coos, and she has a shit-eating grin on her face, even as she finally releases marcy’s hand. her gaze fixates on marcy’s face, and she leans inwards, her breath warm. “i thought you liked my kisses.”

marcy doesn’t have a proper answer, so she just tugs anne downwards, drawing her into a slow, lingering kiss, one that warms her from the inside out, leaving her nerves tingling and stomach fluttering. olms above, she’ll never grow tired of kissing anne.

when anne pulls away to breathe, she stays close, their noses all but pressed together. “hey there gorgeous,” anne breathes, eyes all alight with mischief and an overwhelming fondness. marcy’s heart threatens to burst. some days, she still can’t quite believe that she’s allowed to have this; she’ll never deserve anne. but that all melts away in the heat of the moment, with anne right there so close to her, and marcy’s own love and adoration for her threatening to burst out of her chest.

“hey,” she whispers back, stifling another giggle. “has anyone told you lately that you have a cute face?”

anne huffs. “i see what you’re doing, marbles. it’s not gonna work.”

“uh huh.” marcy grins, and she leans up to press her own series of little kisses against anne’s cheeks, her jaw, her nose. anywhere she could reach. “but you do. the cutest face. a pretty face for a pretty girlfriend.”

“stop using my words against me, you sap.” anne complains, but it’s half-hearted at best, and now she’s the one giggling as marcy wraps arms around her neck, holds her close and steady so she can attack her with affection.

“i love you,” marcy murmurs, finally pulling away from anne’s face to look her in the eyes again. there’s a question at the tip of her tongue, but she never has to ask it anymore; at this point, anne already knows, and the answer can be found in the way her eyes sparkle, the gentle smile, the way she curls arms to support marcy as well and tug her ever-closer.

anne doesn’t say it back, not immediately. instead, she eagerly pulls marcy to her, kissing her with a hunger that will never fully be satiated. marcy melts into it, allows anne to manhandle her into a more comfy position for them both. legs tangled together, bodies pressed flush against the other… it’s intimate in a way that marcy’s never known before this. she never wants anything else.

“i love you too,” anne finally says, delayed, quietly against the shape of marcy’s lips. she’s warm, so warm, and cozy, and marcy can’t help but smile and kiss her again, and again, and again.
