After this morning you had no clue what to think. You thought Klaus was a gentleman but for some reason his way of coming onto you was extremely forward. Had you known Klaus was the kind to say something like that to your face...
You sorta jumped when the break room door opened. You weren't scared that Klaus would do anything. Whatever that was, Klaus wasn't predatory about it... at least, the look on his face seemed confused as yours. But the person making all the noise was just K.K. coming in to check up on you.
"Oh sweetie, what happened? Klaus told me his side." K.K. sat on the other side of the table, "What did he say to make you hide out in here?"
While K.K. only really knew to fingerspell, she could understand ASL well enough "WANT YOU SIT MY FACE"
K.K. covered her mouth with both hands to keep herself from howling. Klaus would absolutely never say that directly. She did blame herself a little, having encouraged Klaus to admit his feelings to you. She really should have helped more with the ASL research.
In an attempt to calm herself down, K.K. slapped the table slowly. You could only sit there and wait for an answer. She looked like she was about to burst from laughing. Was this normal for Klaus? Or were you just missing something important?
"Oh I'm gonna go kill Zapp."
You couldn't have had a more surprised look on your face if you had a cartoon ! over your head.
"Klaus mentioned Zapp helping him." K.K. was smiling, but now it was a bit more sinister, "And poor Klausie has been busy with paperwork, so it was much easier for Zapp to feed him the wrong information."
The perfect "O" you made was adorable to K.K.
"Klaus was trying to say he wanted to spend more time with you." K.K. got up, "I'll let him explain why."
The breakroom door slammed open from K.K. moving fast, though she winked before closing the door. This was confusing and kind of sweet. You were relieved it was merely a misunderstanding, and Zapp's fault more than Klaus's.
Though by the time you stepped into the main office, finally with your nerves under control, you were greeted by the sight of K.K. chasing Zapp around with an old newspaper.
Klaus was very shy in approaching you directly, his face almost the same shade as his hair. You had your reservations, but...
"SORRY WAS NOT MEANING THAT."
"WHY LIKE THAT" You tilted your head, "ABLE SPEAK CAN ASK AWAY DIFFERENT PLACE"
Klaus had to resort to fingerspelling to keep signing with you. He wanted to keep the conversation as private as possible, knowing that Steven wouldn't peek. That Zapp and K.K. were currently busy behaving like cats and dogs, as well as no one else was as well versed in any form of ASL.
"WANTED TO SURPRISE YOU WITH PROPER SIGN LANGUAGE." Klaus tried his best to move quickly, his large hands worked against him though, "THOUGHT IT WOULD MEAN MORE"
You covered your mouth, the weakest of snickers under your breath. That was precious, too precious. Though you had to wonder why he'd want to spend more time with you specifically. It wasn't like you were more than the newest member. Even Leo and Zed hadn't gone through a training phase under Klaus after all.
"PROPER ASL NOT THING" You swayed your head back and forth, "NOT WAY YOU THINK"
Klaus sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck, "WHAT YOU MEAN"
"FINGERSPELL SAME ASL WORK SAME"
"STILL WANTED TO TRY" Klaus glanced at you, glad that things had smoothed over so quickly, "THOUGHT WOULD BE GOOD SURPRISE FOR YOU. SEEING SOMEONE ELSE"
Klaus stopped awkwardly, he wasn't sure he wanted to fully reveal his hand just yet. Admitting outright how he felt right after such an egregious mistake on his part. Next time he won't trust Zapp so readily until he had a chance to double-check what he was really saying.

It hadn't been too late when Steven called you to inform you that Klaus was in the hospital. But it felt like days had passed before you were allowed in to see him. Mostly due to how he rarely ever visited the hospital for himself. Gilbert was a capable medical advisor, so he was legally allowed to administer blood transfusions.
Why those were needed for Klaus's job was beyond you. And seeing him bound in so many hard casts was just hard to look at. One arm slung up at an angle, and the same side leg propped up in a similar sling. It took all your willpower to not turn to Steven.
Though the dark-haired man could feel the heat of your worry from across the room. He knew that you were moments from snapping and demanding answers, and he was likely going to be the primary target. Given that he was the only person around at the time of Klaus's injury. Thank goodness it was so close to the hospital to begin with.
"He should be waking up any minute now." The small form of Dr. Estevez wheeled a large cart in, full of small instruments you could only guess at half their functions, "After a check-up, I'll determine if he needs more morphine to dull the pain or if he needs to kept awake to avoid slipping into a comma."
A tense silence followed.
"Not that it would be extremely serious." She look right at you, the aura you gave off was best described as hellfire, "Little more than the standard procedure for minor concussions. Mr. Reinherz here is far more durable than most humans, so there's little reason to worry about any serious health ramifications."
You tried to relax, letting out a deep sigh as you sat on the side bench. Trying your hardest not to get in the way or let your nerves show too much. Of course you were worried, you had never seen Klaus this badly injured. And even with the "encouraging" words from the little doctor, you felt like everyone was being just a tad too nonchalant about Klaus being in casts.
"Listen [Name]," Steven sat next to you, a comforting arm around your shoulders, "Klaus has made it through worse than this before and been just fine. I know how harrowing it is to see him in this state, but just know he'd do what he did in a heartbeat, if he had to."
"But why?" Your voice was just on the edge of cracking, "Why do things have to be this way?"
Steven let out a soft, yet deep groan, "Because, Klaus would do anything to protect you. And while our job is protecting the world, Klaus always tends to think about the people closest to him. Those most important in his life. According to him, thinking that way makes it easier to do the right thing."
You turned away from Steven. It made sense, you heard Klaus talk this way yourself. But you didn't like this truth, you wanted Klaus to be safe. Not end up in the hospital or wrapped in bandages all the time.
"Even if the right thing to do is give his life." Steven continued, "He would do that without hesitation. As long as he knew you would be safe, and happy."
"And if I'm not happy?" You lowered your voice to avoid crying, "If that's the one thing that would make me suffer above all else?"
"Trust me. Klaus thinks about that too. And he tries to take all the precautions he possibly can to avoid it." Steven let his arm fall away from you, knowing the gesture wasn't helping, "But if push came to shove and he had no other choice... Then he wouldn't hesitate."
"I know. And that's the worst part about it." You took a few deep breaths to steady yourself, "Because then something like this happens and it throws that fact right in my face. I just... I'd like a bit of a breather between reminders of what city we live in."
"Yeah, me too."
Steven looked over at the slightly stirring form of Klaus. This was just something that Klaus would have to deal with on his own. Because Steven had plans to deliver the news of Klaus's health and leave you with him for the night. There would be plenty of time for everyone else to check in on him later, but tonight should be just you two.
Once the room was clear, Klaus finally looked right at you. As usual, you didn't have the faintest idea what he was thinking. You just knew that he should stay awake for a little while longer so Dr. Estevez could complete another check-up in three or four hours.
"You're beautiful."
You stopped, blinking. Klaus's voice wasn't exactly steady right now, nor did it seem like he was fully awake. Dr. Estevez did mention something about using a little more morphine than usual due to just how large Klaus was compared to the average human, even for his height. So maybe this was a side effect? Him seeming to be drunk...
"There isn't a medium, nor artist that could truly capture the radiance of your beauty." His smile was lopsided, almost like a mischievous snicker... but this was genuine, "Whom do I have the pleasure of being in the presence of? An angel?"
Oh M goodness. Was this Klaus attempting to flirt? You couldn't help the bright red color jumping across your face. Holy...
"I'm [Name]." You settled into a chair next to his bed, "Your lover..."
"Oh my." Klaus flushed a little, "Truly I am a lucky man, someone as lovely as you by my side."
Oh good grief... Was he going to be like this all night? You weren't sure you could handle this. It was bad enough when he was aware of his compliments.
A couple deep breaths to steady your nerves, "You are being awfully bold for someone so reserved. Flirting with me when you think I'm a stranger..."
Klaus tilted his head a little, "You? A stranger? Of course not Liebling. I could never forget being with someone so amazing. You never fail to bring a smile to my face, though I rarely show it. Even the mere thought of coming home to you every evening is more than enough to lift my spirits."
Hold up, did he just? You were... He... Oh dear lord, you were just going to have to sit through these weird moments of clarity and complete ignorance weren't you. How much morphine did Dr. Estevez pump into this giant Care Bear?
"Frankly, love, I don't know where I'd be..." He slurred something, you couldn't even make out the syllables, "Though you are the loveliest person I've ever met. It truly is an honor to chat with you."
You had no words. You could only sit there and let him mumble himself in circles. You didn't know what to say, he wouldn't remember any of this anyways. This would be a long night...
Right when you thought things were winding down, as you had gotten up to get Klaus a glass of water...
"Du hast eine tollen arsch."
It was all you could do to not drop or crush the water cup. You weren't entirely sure what Klaus just said, but the time you'd spent with him gave you just enough context clues to know he was being far bolder in flirting with you. Maybe it was just because he was speaking German though. For all you knew he could have just said 'I want Bundt cake'.
Though when you stepped closer, he got bolder. Reaching around with his one good arm and firmly grasping your rear.
"So sehr angenehm zu berühren."
Your whole face was burning up. This was not like Klaus at all, not one bit. How long was this supposed to last again? Was it too late to tag Steven in on this? Cause you had a strong feeling that Klaus wouldn't be flirting with his second-in-command the way he was clearly flirting with you.
Or maybe he was loopy enough to flirt with anyone. Not like you would know.
But the way Klaus was behaving right now, his hand not leaving its spot against your bum, you were starting to feel a little light-headed. It was hardly appropriate for him to be doing this, Klaus would never. Especially not in public!
And yet here he was, all drugged up, murmuring to you in German, and coping a feel. It was all a little too much. And you were embarrassed on both your behalves.
If Klaus didn't remember doing this, then you would never tell him. The shock of acting like this in public would kill the poor man, even if he was out of it.
And it was all you could do to break away from him. Squeaking about needing to sit down so you could gather your thoughts. This would be a long night indeed.

One year, at least once, you wanted to test your limits and stay awake through the first half of your hibernation. Despite Klaus's fervent protests and insistence that you should be asleep, maybe even wandering around in a zombie-ish state. You were determined to see this through.
It was the first time you'd ever gotten a chance to even think about celebrating Christmas or New Year's. But mostly you were excited to celebrate Klaus's birthday. It felt only fair to make the attempt.
After weeks of just barely avoiding the call of your instincts, several cups of coffee, and very loud alarms set just after Klaus's own alarms to avoid waking him up, you realized just how badly you were affected by staying up like this.
Slumped over against walls, hardly able to keep your eyes open even when you stood in the perfectly shaded spots. No amount of cold or caffeine seemed to be able to keep you feeling alert for very long. You had lost entire hours of the day just from sitting down on the office couch.
And the fact that Klaus wouldn't wake you if he didn't have to.
It was the same few excuses and while you couldn't blame him for being worried... You did get tired of hearing 'You looked so peaceful' and 'I didn't notice you had dozed off'. Thankfully, Steven and K.K. didn't have such reservations. They were still deeply concerned, but as long as this was what you wanted, they would help you as much as they could.
K.K. resorted to jumping you every so often, squeezing your sides just a little so you would wake up. Steven however kept very subtly freezing certain, random, spots across your back. He didn't feel comfortable overstepping and going for truly delicate areas, but the sudden chill often caught your attention for a few seconds.
Klaus was not happy about any of this. He wrestled with himself over just turning off your alarms, or toting you to a nice quiet area, or even celebrating his birthday earlier than Christmas so you would go into hibernation.
Unfortunately for him, Dr. Estevez herself said there wasn't any kind of serious health ramifications to doing this. Only the possibility of becoming extremely groggy and irritable. The perma-tired look on your face was symptom ne, but you didn't have much of a temper to begin with. And even with the constant poking and prodding of the others, you never once snapped.
Though it was a miracle you made it to Klaus's slightly early birthday. Everyone compromised on this, even though you wouldn't be able to be there the day of. Klaus's worry was just too much, he couldn't keep going to the hospital because he was worried about you.
Looking around to see where you wandered off to, Klaus stopped when he noticed your silhouette out on the balcony. It wasn't like you to just leave social gatherings like this...
"Liebling?" Klaus was slow to approach, uncertain what was going through your mind, "Is everything okay?"
You looked back over your shoulder, exhaustion plain as day across your face, "Yeah... I was just... thinking."
The soft contact as Klaus rubbed your back, stepping up to the railing to offer some form of comfort, or at least his company.
"Is my stubbornness this past month just been selfishness?"
"Of course not..."
"You went to the hospital seven times because I wouldn't stay in bed." Klaus stopped for a moment, taken back by the sudden outburst, "I... I should have..."
"Shhh, it's okay Shatzi." He nuzzled against your shoulder, trying to think of some way he could make this sound better than it did in his head, "I... I know my reaction wasn't healthy, but I am glad I got to celebrate this year with you. It isn't your fault, I was the one being too stubborn for his own good."
You stood there, knowing there wasn't an easy answer to who got more of the blame. If there was even an argument given how little your reasons for blaming yourselves lined up. It sounded like the simplest cause-effect on paper, but hearing how Klaus felt about the situation, that complicated things.
"[Name], Liebling." Klaus tilted your chin so you'd look him in the eyes, "It was my fault for ending up in the hospital. I knew what worrying would do to my stomach. And I should have listened to Dr. Estevez, trusted her and you in this endeavor. You were merely trying to be a part of the holidays that you never experienced before. And I should have done more to prepare myself mentally against my own knee-jerk reactions to protect."
"I still should have just gone through my hibernation phase." You couldn't stop the tears falling from your eyes. Whether you were tired or just emotional didn't seem to matter, "None of this would have happened if I hadn't tried staying awake in the first place."
A small silence followed as Klaus carefully swiped his thumbs under your eyes, "I'm very glad you did so anyway mein Shatzi. It means the world to me that you would go through this for my sake."
Klaus knew that after tonight, you would go into hibernation. But that didn't mean he wouldn't make every second count until then. The combination of raw emotion, pure exhaustion, and the slightly romantic atmosphere lead him to leaning in. Pressing the softest of kisses to your lips, hoping he could better explain himself this way.
Polar opposites [Zapp x Reader]
![Polar Opposites [Zapp X Reader]](https://64.media.tumblr.com/95e8301ba0394e8b7d1d510af0829c56/4d0dd29f3160ed5b-8c/s500x750/edeaedb6ad0edcb1d71f1c6d17c4fa2effe83acb.gif)
This wasn't normal, it wasn't natural! He knew he could do better than that stuck-up, pristine, everything-in-its-place a$$hole!
Zapp was stuck, laying in bed and wondering why the ever-loving f&%k he was thinking about them when he should be out drinking and partying. The new intel core operative was just a little b*tch!
And no amount of tight pants was going to change his mind.
~~~~~
Unfortunately, you didn't have a beef with Zapp, not yet anyways. You were doing your best to get along with everyone you could considering you would be a temp in the office. Being reliable and tidy was just second nature for you. Honestly, you were hoping to become a more permanent member of the team. Though you didn't have much fighting experience.
A full-time record keeper position would suit you just fine.
But, for whatever reason, Zapp was skirting you today. Whenever you got even remotely close to where he was, he would jump up and act like he needed to be somewhere else. It was getting on everyone's nerves, and hurt you a little just thinking about it.
"Trust me," Chain said, "This is a blessing in disguise. The last thing you want is that Monkey Brained idiot flirting with you."
"It isn't about flirting." You sighed, "It seems like all I have to do is look in his general direction and he's bolting to the next room. And I know it isn't my body spray, no one else is bothered by it. They've even commented on how Zapp tends to wear it himself so..."
"You are still lucky that he's like this." Leo piped up from the other end of the couch, "Given his pension for bullying the living daylights out of anything that moves."
The little Sonic Speed Monkey on the table in front of you made a noise as if he were agreeing, as well as nodding. You couldn't help but feel like it was impossible to explain why this hurt so much. Popular opinion around the office said Zapp was public enemy number one.
But you thought he was kinda cute.
There was no getting out of it this time sadly. Zapp was assigned to be your bodyguard during a mission, and he wasn't able to weasel his way out of this one. This was the seedy part of town, and you needed someone who both knew the place, and could fight properly in tight corners.
God Zapp was gonna regret this.
"Just stay outta my way when sh^t hits the fan, alright Noodle?"
Zapp was being more pushy and rude than normal, in all honesty, you didn't know what to think. You just shrugged and decided not to let it bother you. Certainly made Zapp less cute.
Sneaking around in the alley with someone this close should have been more thrilling, but with Zapp constantly bickering at something or other... You just had to hold out until you could hear what was going on inside this building. It wasn't long before you realized you had circled the entire outside of the building and still not found a decent entry spot. And with Zapp grumbling in your ear, it wasn't going to be a fun day.
"Will you shut up?" You hissed, "I can't f*&king concentrate with the endless hopeless commentary from the peanut gallery."
Zapp blinked, straightening up and holding both hands up in surrender on instinct. But he shut up. You stared up the side of the building, unaware of how Zapp was looking at you.
Had he been wrong this whole time? Or was this just stress-talking? He was known to be grating to most people, and he had been wrong about things before. It was all too likely he just didn't-
"In!"
Being suddenly shoved into an even tighter corner by you only strengthened his suspicions about just being wrong. Then the footsteps hit his ears. About as hard as your heartbeat actually. That level of rapid thumping was pumping Zapp's ego. If you were that scared, then if he did something to protect you...
Things could go very differently then he even thought was possible.
"Don't-"
Zapp was yanked even further into the dark corner before he could even take half a step.
"Are you insane?" You whispered, "They have guns! You'll be down before you can even draw a drop of blood for your own sword. Just lay low for a sec."
"Just gimme a sec to prep and..."
"Look, just because you don't like me doesn't mean you get to walk all over me dumb*ss." You half glared at him, "Just hold on 'cause they'll round the corner in a few seconds. And then we can sneak into that low window right there."
Zapp blinked down at you, "What gave the idea that I don't like you?"
"You avoid me, you keep calling me Noodle, you have been grumbling ever since we left today, and you refuse to give me the time of day to just listen to the simplest of requests like stay put for a minute so we can do our f&^king job."
Looking away and rubbing the back of his neck proved more difficult than he expected, but of course you'd be right.
"Okay, okay. So I haven't been the nicest." He admitted, "But to be fair, I thought you were just another stick in the mud."
"Because I want to do a good job and maybe not be stuck as a temp?"
Your voice was starting to raise, but Zapp covered your mouth. He knew you were right, but the footsteps had stopped at an odd time. While the grumbling was inaudible, there was a chance that those apes could hear you.
"Okay, so I made a bad judgment call." Zapp breathed in your ear, "It happens, I just. I'm kinda used to being the office punching bag, so another suit-wearing snob was the last thing I wanted to see. Once this is over with, why don't I make sh^t up to you with drinks? Deal?"
You pulled away, almost hitting your head against the wall, "Alright, deal. Now help me up into that window so I can plant a bug in the empty room."
"And remind me," Zapp was easily able to lift you by the leg, "What good does leaving it in an empty room do?"
"It'll seek the target like a living bug." You just needed to drop a small bug and crawl out the window, "And stick to him like a bad fart."
"Nice."
"Check this out Pube head." Zapp snickered, "No way they see this coming."
Trying to relax while in the office was honestly kind of tedious, given how you typically looked bored and distant. It only meant Zapp would try annoying you, as if you didn't have enough reasons to not heal him.
It genuinely felt like almost everyone here went out of their way to get injured so badly. That was quite possibly the main reason you were hired to begin with. Being a well-renown healer with several different techniques up your sleeves, and tucked into your apron, making you one of the most guarded members on the battlefield.
Which suited you just fine, fighting wasn't really your thing. And without a voice, you couldn't warn anyone of anything. But at least you could hang back to offer support.
Though with a small wad of paper flying at you, it wasn't very fun for you. Especially given how signing out anything took too long for anyone to understand, or pay attention to you. Except for Klaus, he and K.K. were always good about sitting still long enough to listen to you.
You leaned back just enough to make it seem like Zapp missed his shot. It was satisfying to hear him ranting about his poor aim. At least he blamed himself and not noticing how you moved at all.
Klaus spotted it though, he wouldn't say anything. To him, it was rather impressive that you just sort of... knew everything going on around yourself. No matter how little you acted, you always just seemed to know and understand exactly what others needed.
It was difficult admitting to himself that such adoration had transformed into a much deeper respect, and later loving crush towards you. But Klaus would get there... eventually.
If only every time he had a chance to speak to you in private wasn't one where he needed your assistance.
Most everyone else was quite used to your low grumbling. Not quite words, but rather something you managed to do with a complex system of grunts and nostril flares. Something Klaus himself had never experienced first-hand. No matter how bruised he got.
Being stopped as soon as he made it into the office however...
Klaus was not ready to deal with you snapping at him to sit down.
"I'm perfectly fine [Name]. I promise." He raised both hands in surrender, "It's merely a small series of nics from my razor."
That wasn't fooling you in the slightest. You could see the large scrapes across his forearms. Snapping at the couch once again while looking the tall, red-haired man in the eye. Klaus knew exactly what you wanted and why.
And he was trying to stall as much as he possibly could.
"[Name], I assure you--"
Fine! if Klaus wanted to be stubborn, you could just heal him while standing. Having taken him by surprise with a cold poultice made of rosemary and agave cactus. Both plants with restorative properties, ones you could amplify with your abilities.
Klaus couldn't help but be mesmerized by the soft, warm glow around your hands. It didn't register as a color, at least not one on the visible light spectrum. But the light still bounced off your eyes just right in Klaus's opinion.
Though he would die before he told you that.
After a few moments of holding still, "Ah, thank you [Name]. That feels much better. Though you needn't spend all your energy on myself. I'm certain Zapp will find a way to be injured by the time he enters the office."
You blinked slowly at Klaus. It wasn't something you'd tell him directly, but Zapp coming in injured was his own fault. And you weren't responsible for his every little boo-boo. But that didn't stop you from telling Klaus "off" about not going to the couch.
No, you made that frustration very clear by motioning to him, then the clock, then the couch. It didn't help that Klaus was also highly perceptive and knew exactly what you meant.
"Next time go to the couch."
Day 29 [Klaus/ Leo/ Zapp]
Prompt: "Please, don't look at me..."
Klaus
Klaus stood up, a slight growl escaping past his lips. This job would never get easier, he knew that all too well. It was merely a fact at this point. Though his thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a loud noise.
"This is where we let go! Hands up--"
Turning toward the familiar sound, Klaus's heart plummeted as his eyes fell on you. Standing just outside the alley where he had just proven how utterly brutal he could truly be. The look of abject terror on your face cut Klaus like a knife.
"Liebling." Klaus's voice and mannerisms had softened to an extreme degree as he took a few tentative steps forward, "I can explain. This is merely part of my work..."
"This is part of your work?!"
You were torn between wanting to run and knowing Klaus wouldn't hurt you, or would he?
"But... but you... You wouldn't hurt... I mean, sure you're... But! I... I guess I just..."
Klaus gingerly placed a hand on your shoulder. Hearing your confusion and doubt, seeing that look on your face, it was too much. You looked like you were trying to convince yourself that Klaus was harmless... and you were failing.
"Please Liebling," Klaus whispered as he raised a hand to cover your eyes, "Please don't look at me like that."
.
Leo
This feeling was too much for Leo, sure he worried a lot. But this time you had been actively pushing him away without any reason. You were ghosting him and he wasn't going to take this lying down.
Standing outside your door, Leo couldn't help but wonder what kind of excuse you would give him. He wasn't the cynical type, but a certain someone had gotten into his ear with social horror stories. The number of times this kind of behavior led to abrupt change in relationship status was unreal.
"[Name]! C'mon! Open up!" Leo couldn't help but click his tongue impatiently, "It's me! You know, the guy you've been dating? The one you're currently avoiding for no reason? Can't you at least give me an explanation?"
For as slowly as the door opened, Leo's jaw dropped long before your eye peered out. A crimson tendril had eased out the door as it opened, and there was no mistaking that kind of aura. Not when Leo's very job was to seek out aura like this.
"You're... you're a..."
"Vampire" "Blood Breed."
You stopped, blinking at what Leo just called you. Whatever it meant, it couldn't be good, not when it sounded so... professional. The look on his face, somewhere between worry and fear, it made you feel guilty and ashamed. And you couldn't be sure why, it had just been instinct to avoid and look away.
"Please," You muttered, trying o close the door, "Please don't look at me."
"[Name]." Leo wedged his foot in the door, "I can explain some of this. I can help you, I'll try everything I can to do so. But please, please. Don't push me away again. I want to help."
.
Zapp
A loud groaning startled you awake, despite the restless movement of your partner. The tanned, silvery white-haired man beside you twisted this way and that as if he were a cat, all the while moaning like a ghost. All his shifting and noise was quite the ruckus first thing in the morning, though it wasn't the first time you'd dealt with him like this.
"The f&^k time is it?" Zapp had wiggled his way over you, attempting to bury his face in your chest, "Why the ever-loving-f&^k is the light so god damned bright?"
"C'mon, the sun is shining and its a beautiful day." You teased, "Time to wake up and smell the coffee."
"Hardee har har." Zapp's voice was muffled, refusing to lift his head, "Next time, I pick the joint. That place had sh*t booze."
"Oh? Big bad Zapp can't handle a little party?"
"Like hell I can't!"
You snickered in his face before he could settle back down.
"What?" He shot, "Lookin' so smug over there."
"Nothing." You smirked, "Just thinking about how cute you are with your hair all messed up like that."
"I am NOT cute!" he huffed, "And don't look at me like that."
Despite being the reason you were chuckling, Zapp still thought the sound was highly attractive. Spurred on more since he was currently face down against your chest, and he wasn't wasting time having a little fun with his postion.
