In the heart of my hearts, I don't know if that was the implication or if I'm reading too much into it, but the fact that Jiang Tian woke up as soon as Sheng Wang went to his bunk, it feels like he was awake through it all. Maybe not waiting for the kiss, but at the very least anticipating the wait. I don't know if that was the reality but it makes me lose my mind.

The On1y One Episode 11

I don't remember if I had reblogged it or not, I don't even remember exactly what the post was saying but I saw a post where someone was talking about how even if The On1y One doesn't end with a resolution and ends while being angsty they would still be happy because they appreciate the story as a whole. And that is exactly where I am. It is a beautiful story. It was done very well in my opinion. The directing, acting, writing. Everything. Even if they didn't resolve everything they explored everything and made it meaningful and that is important to me. It means so much to me that I was able to experience it the way I did.

The way I was simultaneously, too prepared but not at all prepared for what all the episode gave me. It was at the same time too much and not enough and I'm absolutely loosing my mind. I cannot wait for tomorrow.

I could write an entire dissertation on this scene alone.

The BL that wasn't a BL gave me the love story that was better than a love story.

Don't get me wrong, I have a million things to say about Jane and Ryan, but at the end of the day Ryan didn't need to be swept off his feet. He needed to feel pride in what he is capable of, feel confidence in his efforts and not be swayed by failures. He needed to depend on others and feel safe to take risks. He needed to be curious about the world and brave enough to go find out what is possible.

Jane certainly helped Ryan build all of that, but so did Tae and Pah and BaMhee and especially Pie. Even Baimon and Jo and my baddie in the art department. OK, maybe not him. But everything else was part of the environment and experiences that helped Ryan learn to love creating and commit himself to a future of his own choosing. As they say, soulmates aren't born, they're forged. He going to go far with all that love in his life.

And it's a love story worth telling.
