Do You Have A Favorite Poem Or Any Piece Of Poetry You Like?
Do you have a favorite poem or any piece of poetry you like?
Hi!
Yes, well for now this is my current favourite poem/rhyme:

I have a deadly nightshade
So twisted does it grow
With berries black as midnight
And skull as white as snow.
The vicar's cocky young son
Came to drink my tea
He touched me without asking
Now he's buried 'neath the tree.
-This is "Girls Skipping Rhyme" from Chokely in Wynterset
Thank you so much for asking!!

Bananas and peaches and cherries and whatever. I swear, just use the goddamn words for whatever you're referring to with that! It just feels weird.
does anyone else ever wish that people wouldnt use food as analogy for sex as much? bc as a sex repulsed asexual, its starts to give me connotations that put me off eating sometimes asdfssdfs
Ok I don't have crystals but maybe rocks will do
hi! do you have any advice for spells n things i can do to improve focus & luck going into finals? anything specifically studying-related? โค๏ธ
Absolutely! It's a blend of practical and magical stuff, like most of my advice for these situations.
First, the practicals. Have a particular flavor of gum or mint or hard candy to keep you company when you're studying. Have it again on test day - the flavor and scent will help with recollection. If you're not partial to these things or if they're not allowed in the testing room, use a drop or two of a particular scent for the same effect.
(Note: Though it might seem tempting, do not use essential oils directly on the skin for this purpose. Use a perfume or body spray instead, or apply the scent to a garment or accessory that you can have with you on exam day. Something subtle that will jog your memory but won't bother your neighbors or give anyone a headache, for courtesy's sake.)
Try not to have too many distractions or interruptions during study time and don't leave things to the last minute (this is a hard one, I know). If you can't absorb information strictly through reading, try to find an audio or video resource to supplement. Come up with your own mnemonic devices for difficult formulas or points that you know will be on the exam. If you can find any of the relevant facts set to music, try and memorize the song. That always helped me a lot since tunes tend to stick in my memory.
Get plenty of rest the night before so that you don't wake up groggy. If you take medication, make sure you take it on time. Hydrate well, but not so much that you have to go to the bathroom urgently. If you drink coffee or tea in the morning, beware of a caffeine crash halfway through the test and try to time things accordingly. If the examiner will let you have a drink in the testing room, use a clear container so you can't be accused of cheating. Eat a light breakfast with protein in it before the exam so that you have calories to work with but you don't get that full/sleepy feeling. And then take yourself to brunch once the testing is done.
On the magical side, you can set a favorite crystal or stone on your desk while you're studying, then keep it in your pocket during the test. I don't know if instructors these days allow fidgets, but a few people I knew in college used to have worry stones that they would have in hand while they studied and then would bring on exam days. The tactile sensation of the stone was another recall device.
A charm of rosemary and peppermint can help. Put some in a sachet bag and keep it on your desk while studying, then tuck it into your pocket before the exam. Some witches I know use rose quartz or sodalite for this purpose as well, either on their own or with the herbs in the charm bag. If you have another kind of lucky charm, you can use that too.
Let me leave you with a bit of advice as well - the best kind of luck comes from foresight and planning. By all means, hedge your bets with magic if you like, but make sure you're wagering on solid preparation first and foremost.
Hope this helps and good luck on your finals!

Simple Paper Clip Focus Spell
A very simple paper clip charm for focus and concentration. Great for low-key witchcraft and dorm witchcraft!

You Will Need:
๐ A Paper Clip ๐ A place you can concentrate and work
Steps:
๐ Once you are in a place you feel comfortable to work, hold your paper clip of choice cupped in your hands.
๐ Image your energy charging the paper clip with your intent: to be able to better concentrate. If you have issues envisioning this, you may instead chantย โI will be able to focusโ over and over again.
๐ Once you feel satisfied carry it on your person. You may also choose to make makes sure you donโt lose it by tying a brown or blue string to it.
๐ Regularly cleanse it in the moonlight each night, and around every week or two re-charge it with your intent.
Note: to give it a little boost, choose a blue or brown colored paper clip for those colors represent focus and concentration. You may also paint your paper clip this color if you wish.
