Team Trials- Chapter 5: Twilight
Warnings: Gore, Main character ALMOST dies, torture
I am so sorry Twi đđđ Please forgive me! Anyways... here you go!
Sky woke up with hazy eyes and a strange numbness throughout his body. He vaguely recognized it as a result of blood loss, but that was low on his list of priorities. He was laying on his stomach, his arm bent at a funny angle because it was chained to the wall. He glanced up from the blood that had pooled around his head.
âTwi!â he called, with no response. Sky could only tell where Twilight was through talk. Sky shuddered at the thought that they were interrogating Twilight again. They were not afraid to draw blood. They cut Skyâs brow and gave him no means to wipe the blood. The sleeve of his left arm was soaked, and he was being blinded by his own blood. That was a warning.
They broke Twilightâs nose. During interrogation whoever was questioning them cut their backs each time they refused to answer his questions.
Where are the others? How many are there?
After giving Sky countless cuts, they threw him back in the cell. Despite his lack of sight, his head lifted sharply at the sound of the door opening. He heard a crunching, crumpling sound, which he recognized as Twilightâs limp body, and the sound of metal clicking. They had cuffed Twi while he was unconscious.Â
Concerned, Sky asked, âTwi?â
The only reply he received was the soft sound of whimpering and the occasional rattle of Twiâs chain because of a spasm.
Sky could only make out what Twilight was saying because he was familiar with Twiâs story.â
âMidna⌠donât go! Help me one more timeâŚâ
Sky was heartbroken to hear his brother so desperate, but there was nothing he could do.Â
Sky got up and leaned against the wall. He curled up and wiped his forehead and eyes on his trousers.
Through cloudy red eyes he saw Twilight convulsing. Twilight was laying face down⌠in his own blood. Unlike Sky, his nose was broken, so there was nothing to stop him from inhaling the blood.
Sky reached out to Twilight. His fingers were so close⌠just a little fartherâŚ
He couldnât. He watched as Twilightâs movements became more abrupt.
Sky stared at his shackled right hand. With all of his remaining strength he yanked his right hand out of the chains, breaking his thumb. He rushed over to Twi, sitting him up and leaning him forward.
Before the blood ran back in his eyes, he could see his brother breathing firmly.Â
The blood only made the memories more vivid.
He was holding Twi as heavy footsteps approached. He braced himself for the severe punishment he was bound to face, but he would cling to his brother until then.
MY BLORBO!!! Can't wait to see where this is going! I love the style too!

Chapter One: Meetings and Stories
The Hero of the Wild had heard and seen many unbelievable things. He heard that he was over a hundred years old. Heâd been told that he had been an actual knight once. He found the latter of which somehow less likely. Heâd seen a ghost of a king that had once led the land he was apparently trying to save. Hyrule, it was called. Heâd even seen four of the most ridiculously large machines in the world, one of which could fly.Â
Thus, when he met eight other versions of himself, he was not particularly surprised. Sure, he was startled when they started showing up. He didnât understand why they were there, or how they were there. But eventually, he got tired of trying to guess the answers to these questions, so he gave up and simply accepted the ordeal.
He didnât know much about their history. In fact, he didnât know much about them at all. All he knew was that something bad was coming, and they were going to have to rely on each other a lot more than they probably would have preferred. He was declared the chef, and he accepted the duty with an open heart. Cooking brought him joy that he just couldnât find anywhere else. Well, he could find it in one other place. The wild. Whenever he was there, he felt at peace, as if the world wasnât on his shoulders⌠as if the fate of Hyrule wasnât all his fault.Â
The Hero of the Wild, or âChampionâ, which is what he had been dubbed by the others, was startled out of his reverie by a gentle touch. He looked back to see the Hero of the Sky, creatively nicknamed âSkyâ, with a concerned expression. Champion flinched.Â
âIâm sorry, but I really donât like to be touched,â he said. Sky looked at him apologetically, and removed his hand.Â
âYou seemed a bit out of it, and I wanted to make sure you were okay. I noticed that you seemed a bit sad and I was wondering if perhaps you were a bit homesick. I know I am. You donât have to say if you donât want to of courseââ
âI wish it was as simple as that. You see, this is my home.â He gestured to Hyrule Castle, with its Malice and Guardians.Â
âYou come from here? What happened?!â exclaimed Sky, mortified that such a thing could ever happen to Hyrule.
Champion sighed heavily. âI wish I could tell you based on fact, on what I know. But all I know about it is snippets of information I got from strangers and a few people who I met. It first appeared ten thousand years ago. The Hero and Princess from that time were able to successfully seal away the monster that caused all this, Calamity Ganon. The monster came back and attacked Hyrule. This was one hundred years ago. The knight with the sword that seals the darkness and the princess were caught unprepared. The princess had yet to unlock her sealing power, her power of light. So, when Calamity Ganon struck, it was absolutely disastrous. The Hero fell, and the entirety of Hyrule was put to ruin. The princess managed to unlock her sealing power, and is still holding Calamity Ganon at bay, waiting for the Hero to save her and Hyrule from their plight.â
Sky stared at him. âSo, what happened to the Hero a hundred years ago? Is he dead for good?â
Champion let out a bitter chuckle, then remained silent. Sky decided that it might be better to ask later, so he went to converse with the others.Â
Later that night, after dinner had been partaken, the Hero of Winds (AKA Sailor) requested sharing history.Â
âWe are probably going to be stuck with each other for a while, so we might as well get to know each other a little better,â he reasoned.
He was the only one to tell the entirety of his story, and even he kept some of his weapons and powers secret.Â
Four, called Smith, told his tale with the Minish next. He only withheld a limited amount of information, but enough that he could still have his fair share of surprises.
Legend, nicknamed Collector and Veteran, recalled maybe half of his adventures. Some things were better left unsaid, at least in his opinion, and if he were to describe every random item he possessed, he figured theyâd all be skeletons before he finished.Â
Hyrule, who became Traveller, didnât really have that much to hide. That didnât stop him from holding some information hostage. This wasnât the time to spill his tirade of knowledge upon them. He also didnât describe the truth of what his Hyrule was like, for fear of frightening the others.
Sky only told the basics. He didnât want to have to explain how his love for Zelda was what drove him on his journey. He couldnât describe how it was his fault for their forced existence, all their pain, all their sufferingâŚ
Captain, previously the Hero of Warriors, was bribed by Veteran into telling his story. He told the basics. He was forced to meet Ganondorf in full-out war, not being sneaky.Â
Rancher, (missing his old title âthe Hero of Twilightâ), barely told them anything. He gave a basic run through of what heâd been through. He left out the fact that he could simply deny who he was, with one touch of a stone.
Champion looked at the fire and said, âI dunno.â Nobody bought it and thought he was stalling. When he didnât offer anything they turned their burning curiosity on the Hero of Time, called Old Man lovingly by the others.
He smiled. âNow wouldnât you just love to know. Let an old man keep his secrets. Maybe Iâll tell you later on.â
Sailor was skeptical. âMaybe?â he asked, cocking his head. Time laughed, but he refused to tell his own story. On that note, they decided to call it a night.Â
Sky was having a nightmare. Not just any old bad dream, mind you. It was the nightmare, the one that tormented him without cease, the one that never left his mind and never would. The one of Demise cursing him and his descendants, laughing and jeering after being stabbed through the chest by the blade of evilâs bane. And as he faded, dissolving into disgusting ash, those last, haunting words echoedâŚ
âAn incarnation of my hatred shall ever follow your kind, dooming them to wander a blood-soaked sea of darkness for all time!â
Sky sat up, drenched in cold sweat. He took several deep breaths, trying to soothe the nerves that were almost frayed beyond repair. How could he even possibly consider being with these men? He had forced them into this position. Their fates were all his fault.Â
Sky gave up on trying to sleep that night. He knew he was going to see that again, and he didnât want to start acting weird around the others. He looked around to make sure everyone was still asleep.Â
âYou donât have to act strange about it,â gently whispered a voice behind him. Sky whirled to see Champion sitting cross-legged on the ground next to the unlit fire. âWe all have nightmares. Weâve all done bad things. And, weâve all let somebody down. You donât have to feel singled out.â
Sky regarded him. âSo I take it you also had a nightmare?â
Champion gave a little smile. âI like to do things at night. I really donât sleep that much.â Sky couldnât imagine doing anything but sleeping at night.Â
âWhat do you like to do at night so much that you prioritize it over sleep?!â Sky whisper-exclaimed. There was a hint of indignation in his voice.
âSome research. There are these strange images on the Sheikah Slate, and each night I go to investigate the environment of one of these pictures. They hold incredible value to me.â
âHmmmmâŚâ Sky became lost in thought. Research over rest?! He thought incredulously. Has he lost his mind?
In fact, he actually voiced it. âHave you lost your mind?â he asked, just to make sure.
âIn a way, I suppose.â With that, Champion walked into the night. Sky was left to ponder the meaning of his words. Eventually, he drifted back to sleep.Â
Champion still hadnât returned by the time Sky woke up. At this point, Old Man called in a meeting and sent Rancher to find him.Â
Maybe fifteen minutes after Rancher left the group, a battle horn resounded from behind the heroes. They were being ambushed, and now there were only seven of them.

Team Trials- Chapter 4: Four
Chapter 4 HAD to be Four. Here you go đ
Warnings: Suggestion of injury, injury, blood
They had been ambushed by monsters. AGAIN. Four was defending the camp when he heard shouting behind him.
âWe need to send more to the field! We canât have everyone here tending to him.â
âWe need as many hands as possible. This isnât a minor injury.â
âAsk for help- you know you canât hold them off!â
âWhat is happening? Who is injured? Are they going to die? Please tell me they wonât die!â
âLet the others work this out. Protect the camp!â
âWhy isnât anyone out here with me?!â
âEverything will work out. Hylia is with us and against the enemy!â
âShut up!â Four muttered to himself, knowing that his emotions would either help or absolutely destroy every chance they had of making it out alive. But then he reconsidered what one of them said⌠âAsk for help- you know you canât hold them off!â
He considered using the true power of the Four Sword. His hand was drawing on the power in his grip. The hilt burned his hand.
âWhy not?â he asked, grabbing again. He would defend the camp, even if that required them.
He divided into four. Red was trying to encourage the group, going along with the situation. At least he wasnât a problem.
Vio, naturally, was wreaking havoc on the vitality of the group. He was anxious about whoever was injured, and could not focus on the moment.
Blue was calling furiously for someone at camp to help. He hacked through three to four enemies at a time, completely disregarding defending himself and thus getting little cuts and bruises everywhere.
Green was trying to calm everyone down, but his need for peace and unity did not make him the strongest fighter. He didnât get hit, but he didnât fight particularly effectively either.Â
Someone from camp shouted furiously, then three heroes rushed over. Wars, who was the likely culprit for the yelling, Legend, who looked like he wanted to murder so much more than just the bokoblins responsible for his brotherâs injury, and Sky, who was lacking his sailcloth. To Four that was a potent induction of the severity of the injury.
With the otherâs aid, he could become one person again. He tried, but he forgot how. Vio panicked, Blue was in a rage, and Red got hit by a blow. Green attempted again, and it worked.
The colors combined. Four thought his strategy was flawless, but as soon as he locked back into the battle, he noticed his grip slipping on his sword. There was blood running all the way down his arm from a deep cut in his shoulder. It was agonizing. He plowed through as many enemies as he could, but as he fought he lost more blood. He collapsed after a few minutes of intense fighting. The realization that he had messed up was bitter.
The heroes who had joined him fought furiously. When the numbers of the monsters had decreased enough for the others to deal with, Sky rushed over to Four.Â
Sky slipped his arm under Four. âJust hold still, okay?â
Four nodded, wincing. Sky pulled a piece of cloth from his pouch and wrapped Fourâs shoulder.Â
âI let my emotions control my actions⌠Iâm sorry! I failedâŚâ Four started, his regrets pouring out of his mouth.
âItâs hard with so much stress, I know. Calm down, youâre going to be fine!â
âBut on my journey-â
Sky clasped his hands in his own. âYouâre going to be fine.â Four nodded, somehow much calmer. Sky lifted him up and carried him back to camp. After Sky laid Four down and gave him a potion, Sky made his way to the outskirts of the camp and into the woods.
He chose to leave Sky alone until he came back.
But he didnât come back.
Four searched the camp for Sky, but he couldnât find him. He dashed to the others to tell them, but they were already gathered, grim-faced and gaunt.
âTwilightâs gone missing.â
âHe wonât be hard to find,â Legend snarled angrily. âJust follow the blood trail.â

Chapter 3 Headcannon Reveal!!!!! Sorry for the wait!
Chapter 3: Sky
Sky was trying to hide the pain behind a kind smile and a warm hug. He hadnât told the Chain about the curse, much less how it affected him. When Time was suffering, Sky discovered his power. He was happy to use it, but it was agonizing.Â
Ever since Sky had met the chain, he always felt their pain and tried to sympathize. He felt guilty for the positions they were all in, given that it was his soul that they shared. His curse, not theirs, yet it was still placed on them⌠and they didnât knowâŚ
That was Skyâs burden. Things were always wearing down on the Chain, and Sky couldnât stand to see it happen.Â
Time was keeled over, tending to the wounds of Wind, and Sky had to help. He slayed as many monsters as he could before running to their aid. Something in his mind warned him not to touch Time, who was panting, tense, and not tending to Wind, but he ignored it.Â
He reached for Timeâs shoulder, his mind screaming in protest, but he still didnât listen. He would help his brother at ANY cost.
As soon as he made contact, Time began acting normally again, and Skyâs mind was flooded with memories that were not his own- They were Timeâs.
Sky recalled the events of the past few days with a blurry mind, carrying the weight of two heroes other than his own. Their memories became his own, seeing that they weighed on his spirit as intensely as his did.
Sky did not regret his decision to repeat the process with Wild. Wild was always suffering, always in pain. In that regard he was unlike the other heroes, who had learned to cope a little better than he did. Wildâs wounds were too fresh and too severe to simply hide behind a joke, try though he may.
Sky understood why he was the way he was. He glanced across the camp to see Legend examining him closely. Legend knew he was up to something. Sky half hoped he wouldnât find out, knowing that the veteran hero wouldnât approve. Legend always looked after Sky, no matter how much he would deny it, and always had Skyâs back when Sky inevitably messed up.Â
Because contact was what triggered the memories to be put on Sky, he would have to avoid touching the others like he was accustomed to. And it pained him. He was not about to give up on his new personal mission because of that, though. Should it become necessary, he would help each member of the Chain. And when the time was right, he might have to share his secret with them. That was an assumed risk. He sighed, briefly being able to put his new pains aside.Â
As he gradually relaxed against the tree marking the far edge of the camp, he heard a battle cry and a screech of monsters. A monster ran straight past him and towards Twilight.
