I love your art! And your OC's are all so nice and well designed! (I especially love Jocia, her design and personality I just adore!)

I saw the post you reblogged about how intimidating you are, and thought it would be a nice opportunity to finally say hello!

For me personally, I would say 🐱 for moderately intimidating, but that's moreso due to myself and the anxiety I have towards approaching/interacting with others first (as I don't want to bother anyone!)

The second highest result on how to draw Yuu Shi on that poll i made way back- (the one where glomas won) was a merform!!! Which!!! I still really want to do! BUT ALSO. Luxe Couture. Coping about the outfits which- weren't my cup of tea i spose by designing my own n looking up gucci references

ALSO i do wanna make cards for my other twst characters too at some point!!! But I'll probably make a separate poll for those

Just stopping by to say how beautiful your art is! I absolutely love them, especially the twst ones, and Yuu Shi is sooo cool!!

Any tips for beginning artists??

HMMM. It's been awhile since I started my art journey, but if I had to look back on it- i'd say I mainly wish I went into it with a more positive mind set.

Drawing is for YOU! Drawing is for fun, whatever medium you want to use. It's very important to allow yourself to simply let the flow of creativity take you. Improvement will come naturally!

Art can take a LOT of time, which is why it is so important to have that "fuck it, we ball" mentality with it sometimes. I had a REALLY bad habit of often getting discouraged by internet numbers or comparing my rate of progress to other artists. It is different for everyone! So my main piece of advice is simply to have fun with it.

If you're looking for more technical advice, there are a TON of guides out there made by other artists containing anatomy tips, coloring/blending guides, color theory, and more!!! Searching around and finding which ones feel the most natural for you is very important. I've personally found it useful to gradually incorporate different methods into my own style, perhaps from different games/shows/media, and seeing what feels the best for me to do.

As someone who started off self taught then gradually went into art classes, youtube guides and classes in particular will be your besty.

Also picrew is an amazing resource if you plan on getting into character design!!! It helps get a good image of the character and make many different ideas before you decide to sit down and draw them yourself.
