BECAUSE. right no. he starts off his sentence with 'i-' before dwalin cuts him off. not only that, bilbo appeared to be (quite possibly) the only one to at least ease thorin's dragon sickness symptoms; perhaps if their privacy hadn't been interrupted, bilbo would actually manage to free thorin from it either partially or completely.
