More Headcanons About Cordelia (Why does she seem to be single?)
I have a series of headcanons that I’m not really sure how to explain or where they came from, but here they are:
When Cordelia was a teenager, she was that girl who had many admirers and frequently changed boyfriends. She loved romantic gestures and details, the gifts, the flirting, but beyond the fun of being complimented and courted, Cordelia never felt what her friends told her she should feel.
Cordelia loved many people, but she never had that kind of love that a girl and a boy were supposed to have. Not even with another girl, which she tried in an attempt to see if that was her problem.
As time went on, Cordelia felt a growing concern about not being able to settle down and start a family. Because she wanted a family, but she refused to force herself to "love" someone just to have one. However, she was getting older, and the "right person" (as she had been told many times before) simply didn’t seem to come.
Because no matter how good the candidates were or how much she cared for them, her kind of love could never respond in the way they expected her to.
Once, while talking with Tilly, she confessed her dilemma. The young duchess told her to throw society’s expectations to the wind and live her life being herself, without fear of simply doing what felt authentic to her.
With that, Cordelia decided that it was okay not to have a partner and that she could start her family without needing one. It was as if a great burden had been lifted from her shoulders.
One day, she arrived at her parents' house suddenly announcing her pregnancy. A letter was sent to Cedric the same day to notify him of the news.
Her parents asked Cordelia about the sudden event and, most importantly, who the father or her partner was. Cordelia replied, as she had done many times before when various friends asked, that it wasn’t important, and although it was uncomfortable dealing with some opinions and rumors at first, she was thoroughly enjoying her motherhood.
So, yes, I’m basically saying that I have a somewhat elaborate headcanon where Cordelia is aromantic.
Cedlock as uncles, Headcanon
(This post is entirely a rambling of mine about my little imaginary Cedric and Greykock being a couple, so if you don't care about the ship, skip the post.)
Alright, I have a series of headcanons about the family dynamic of Calista, Cordelia, and Cedric if Cedric and Greylock were a couple (meaning both would be Calista's uncles). What do you call that? Ship-headcanon? Even though the ship isn’t, unfortunately, real?
For this, imagine that at some point after the end of the series, Greylock and Cedric meet again, resolve their issues (and all that complicated matter with the Order of the Wand and Rudistan), and become a couple.
Greylock eventually moves in with Cedric in Enchancia because, well, he wants to be with him. They become a little family along with their nieces: Calista and Sofia (Sofia declared herself as their adoptive niece and didn’t take no for an answer).
When Calista is visiting the castle, Greylock and Cedric play with her, and, secretly from Cedric, Greylock teaches Calista some spells for pranks.
Quickly, Calista develops a taste for pranks like her uncle (harmless ones, of course), which gets on Cedric’s nerves.
When Calista enters her teenage years, she starts to have a slight conflict with her personal style because she finds that, unlike what Cordelia would prefer, she doesn’t really like the dresses and elaborate headpieces she is expected to wear.
Cordelia doesn’t insist on changing her mind because she understands, somewhat reluctantly, that Calista doesn’t share her love for fashion. However, she notices that Calista feels a bit insecure about the matter, so she asks her uncles to talk to her.
Cedric tells Calista that it’s okay if she wants to wear something simpler along with her wizard robe. Greylock, supporting Cedric, advises Calista to wear whatever makes her feel comfortable and like herself, without worrying if it might be a bit unconventional. (Greylock uses himself as an example, who, now free from King Magnus’s control, has started dressing even more, in Cedric’s opinion, extravagantly).
Calista feels better and starts exploring what makes her feel comfortable until she develops her own style, which is a curious mix of her uncles’ and mother’s styles: a red wizard robe, a shirt and bow tie with a sort of vest over it, along with a simple skirt with a belt at the waist like Cordelia's. Her hair is half-styled and messy like Greylock’s, and she wears large star-shaped earrings like her mother. Additionally, Calista loves to wear the hat that Merlin gave her.
Omg, this is so beautifulllllll

I love everything you all said; it seems very true. I also wonder if, since Amber physically resembles Lorelei so much, Cedric clashes particularly with her because of the reminder she brings and how different she is from the way her mother treated him.
I’m not sure how to put it.
I've always believed that for Cedric, it must be a bit sad that, considering this headcanon where Lorelei and Cedric were friends, the twins, the only thing left of Lorelei in the world, reject him. Especially Amber, who is the most like her.
However, thinking a bit about the series, it doesn’t seem like James has anything against Cedric.
Roland ended up imposing his opinion of Cedric on his children, completely erasing any small bond Cedric might have shared with Lorelei through her children.
So, you can't tell me Roland didn't blame Cedric for being unable to save his first wife when she had complications from giving birth to the twins (he probably tried a potion or spell, but it was likely too late). I imagine that must have caused an even greater rift between them.
And it's also a big reason Cedric hates being compared to his own father, who saved Roland's dad's life nine-and-a-half times. In 'Cedric's Apprentice', he says to Sofia bitterly "I've never saved anyone's life, not even once! Not even half!" And then in 'Mystic Meadows', Cedric had to listen while Goodwyn bragged to Sofia about how many times he saved her grandfather, which likely triggered Cedric about how he failed to save the former queen.
I can see Cedric feeling genuinely guilty he couldn't save the first queen, and not just because he's so desperate for recognition and to be seen as useful- but also because of the part of him that still saw Roland as his friend and cared about him.
I know it's a Disney Jr. show, but it would have been really interesting to have that explored more. Oddly enough, I haven't seen it addressed much in the fandom, including fics.
In fact, I can see the twins' birthday an incredibly sad day for Cedric, and very bittersweet for Roland.
@bettathanyou @majoresca
Alright, I've been thinking about this scene because it gives me a confusing and funny feeling.
I don't have much to say, I just find it amusing how Roland makes that gesture and Cedric comes running like an abandoned puppy.
I don't know, it's just... Wtf Roland hahaha.

At the same time, I also feel like it's soooo degrading. I don't know, maybe it's just my impression.
Thoughts?
New name for Cedric and Sofia's friendship
Hello to all Sofia the First fans and fans of Cedric and Sofia's friendship. As many of you may know, with the upcoming anti-C*dfia week organized by @anticedfiaweek , some discussions have started about whether we should come up with a new name to refer to Sofia and Cedric's friendship to avoid:
1. The association with C*dfia.
2. Confusion with tags.
Like @sweetmariihs2 said (here) better.
I know some names are already being discussed in other posts, but it would be nice if we could really organize ourselves and brainstorm to find that new name.
After discussing it with @majoresca, we concluded that it should be something meaningful, interesting and that represents both characters, as well as something short, so it can be easily used in tags.
This post is dedicated to starting a thread with suggestions for the new name so that we can choose one as a fandom later on. Feel free to reblog this post with your idea.
Than you!
Sofia the First Alternate Universe
Hi everyone! A few days ago I was thinking about an AU where the dynamics of Sofia and Cedric's friendship changes a bit. I have finally decided to share it, what better time than this week that celebrates their friendship.
Royal Pariahs
"Bad" Sofia and "Good" Cedric
In this alternate universe, when Sofia arrives at the palace, she starts having behavioral issues due to her inability to fit into royal life and the constant rejection from Amber and other royals. In contrast, Cedric, although still the same grumpy character with a past marked by the incident and lifelong bullying, has found a way to cope in this universe. As a result, he has given up on the idea of taking over the kingdom.
Since Cedric doesn’t attempt to steal the amulet, the events of "Once Upon a Princess" don't unfold as they should. Because no one at the party freezes, Sofia never connects with Amber, who continues to torment her, resentful that the castle staff seems to prefer Sofia.
This rejection fuels Sofia's resentment towards her new family; she refuses to call Amber "sister" and rejects referring to Roland as "dad." The only member of the royal family with whom she has a decent relationship is James, who has tried to support her in adapting to Royal Prep.
Despite everything, Sofia remains a sweet and kind person to everyone who isn’t royalty—a group she has come to despise due to the endless rules and expectations they imposed on her.
The Amulet of Avalor hasn’t been able to help her in this universe because, as a result of her bad behavior, it frequently punished her and eventually, she decided to take it off. After all, Sofia sees no problem in breaking the promise she made to King Roland, who has done little to stop Amber's teasing.
After all the teasing she has received since arriving, Sofia refuses to adhere to the protocols and rules as a form of rebellion to show her discontent. She refuses to wear her tiara or any other kind of jewelry, deliberately messes up her hair, and doesn’t care about maintaining her dress. She believes this is a way to annoy King Roland and Amber, breaking with the perfection that she believes is expected of her.
The friendship of Sofia and Cedric
Sofia is still interested in magic, which leads her to meet Cedric and become his apprentice, as in the original storyline. However, this Sofia soon realizes how King Roland and others treat Cedric. Since she is also rejected by the Royals, she identifies with him.
Cedric, on the other hand, sees part of his own story reflected in the young princess, leading him to care for her and try to advise her so she doesn’t end up like him.
Their friendship works somewhat in reverse.

1. Sofia tries to steer Cedric toward villainy:
After a year in the palace with no improvement in her situation, Sofia is determined to ruin the King and Amber. After learning a bit about Cedric’s past through Baileywick, she comes up with the idea that they could both seek revenge.
Sofia wants revenge for how Amber and other Royals have treated her because of her commoner origins and believes Cedric should do the same for the years of mockery and humiliation he has endured.
However, Cedric isn’t interested, having left villainy behind after a failed attempt in his youth. Though Sofia constantly tempts him with childish ideas to annoy the King, Cedric realizes this wouldn’t get them anywhere, especially Sofia.
2. Cedric tries to help Sofia with her family situation:
Cedric enjoys helping Sofia annoy Amber and other princesses at Royal Prep with spells and poorly enchanted objects, thinking it helps her cope with her tough life. However, one night he overhears a conversation between Queen Miranda and Sofia he realizes that these "revenge" schemes are only hurting Sofia more than anyone else.
Cedric reflects on where this path is leading her, imagining a future where Sofia is rejected and excluded like him. Determined to prevent that outcome, Cedric starts helping Sofia adapt to palace life as best he can.
With Baileywick’s help, Cedric teaches Sofia some of the etiquette she had previously refused to learn, while Sofia helps him overcome his fear of performing spells in front of others. This process is healing for both of them; they support each other in improving their relationships with others in the palace.
Together, they face setbacks and celebrate small victories, working side by side to change their lives. Essentially, they both try to improve their lives together.
And that's basically it. I just wanted an excuse for Sofia to act a little more like a mischievous child and Cedric as a concerned adult. Although Cedric joins in on her antics sometimes.
In the same way, I have written a little fic where Cedric teaches the Sofia of this universe to dance:
That's all! Have a nice AntiC*dfia week everyone!
A very strange dream I had about Cedlock
(yes, just as you read)
This, as always, is a rambling of mine telling the dream I had of a very strange fic I dreamed I wrote. If you're not interested in Cedlock, you probably won't be interested in this, so keep scrolling. Thanks!
So lately, I've been working as much as I can on some WIPs I had pending (though I keep creating new ones instead of finishing the old ones, lol), and I've been especially focused on finishing my Cedlock fic that I mentioned the other day.
I think maybe I've been thinking about it too much because yesterday, somehow, I dreamed about it.
But it was a really strange dream, to be honest. I wasn't writing my Cedlock fic where Greylock tries to ask Cedric out, but rather something weird that I found amusing.
Did I just get a fic idea revealed to me in a dream?
In my dream, I was editing a WIP I had in my folder that was about Cedric being engaged to King Magnus. Stay with me, I know how it sounds, lol.
Yes, it was pretty strange. According to what I was reading in my Word document, King Roland had arranged Cedric's engagement to Magnus as part of some treaty or agreement (my dream didn’t make much sense, and the words looked weird).
Something happened in the middle that I don’t remember reading, and then there was a part about how Cedric was (Obliged) moving to Rudistan’s castle, where he met Greylock, who was more than angry about the situation.
I mean, I think he was angry because Cedric had married Magnus and not him, ahahaha.
Anyway, then something else happened that I don’t remember, but it was something like Magnus mocking Greylock and basically rubbing the marriage in his face.
And then, well, I wish I could remember how it ended. But I do remember that in my dream, I was like: This is the best thing I've ever written.
And then I woke up and just laughed at that idea.
Dreams are weird.
The ruby tiara
Hello! I made a very short fic about a headcanon I have where Sofia, after the end of the series, frequently wears the tiara Cedric gave her.
Although I'm technically not following the theme of AntiCedfia Week, it was written with their friendship in mind.

From Spanish to English: Translating fics
I love Spanish, I love my native language. It's simply magnificent.
I also like English; it's an interesting language, and I like that it has many words for expressions where in Spanish you would have to use more than two words. However, it also frustrates me a bit, especially when I translate my fics.
Obviously, I write in Spanish and think about how it will sound in Spanish, so when I translate, some words lose their strength when replaced with their English versions. I suppose it's also my lack of English vocabulary; I won't deny that.
But there are some things that are simply limitations of the language. For example, "Usted."
I love the use of "Usted" in Spanish. It's a way of showing respect that doesn't exist in English, at least not in the same way and with the same intention.
And I really like it when I write conversations between Sofia and other characters, like Cedric, because even though (at least in my country) children are not usually addressed with "Usted," Cedric and other adults use it with her out of respect for her title (princess, royalty).
So, when Cedric doesn't use that tone with Sofia in my stories, it feels like there's a level of closeness and friendship just in the way they can talk to each other. And that's something that gets lost in English. I don't know, I just really like the use of "Usted," and it makes me sad that it gets lost.
I don't know if you're familiar with Lydia the Bard. She's a YouTube singer who's popular for making songs about princesses as if they were villains or something drove them to villainy.
And she just posted this to announce her next video.

I'm excited to think it might be about Sofia. I mean, the tiara looks similar, doesn't it? Well, that's it. Just wanted to share it.
So, do you remember that dream I had about Cedric marrying Magnus? @mushroomsie224 said it was material for a crackfic, so here I am.
Instead of writing the fanfiction I promised (I’m still working on it), I ended up writing this other short story.
I hope it entertains you, I definitely had fun tormenting Greylock. He’s lucky I decided not to be too cruel.
A while ago, I mentioned that I have a bit of a crack headcanon that Greylock would sing heartbreak songs. For some reason, now every time I hear those kinds of songs, I think of that.
And here I am.
But of course, I grew up listening to these classics of my culture and I can only think about it, so that's why the song. All of you are going to appreciate Amanda Miguel and you'll like her 🫵🏼
This comes not only from that headcanon but also from something I wrote (here).
I drew all of this during class and it's funny to think that I don't have any notes because of this but it's worth it, lol.
It's amazing what a silly dream can do, anyway, I'm just happy you enjoyed and had fun reading it
This is definitely making me think more about those two lol

You all, imagine young Cedric singing "Waiting on a miracle" of Encanto. Yes, that's all, thank you very much for your attention.
Why did you start watching STF again? Because I have this weird theory that most of us watched some of Cedric's edits and ended up here.
Discussion, I think
Do you think Cedric cries easily? I've been thinking about this lately.
Because we've seen Cedric be dramatic throughout the series, and he's certainly emotional, but we haven't seen him cry. (Which I understand, and it's a good thing because honestly, I wouldn’t have liked seeing him cry.)

But I wonder. My personal idea and headcanon is that he does cry, but only when he's alone. I feel like he would be the type who doesn't let anyone else see him cry.
And somehow I also came to think that if that is the case, it was probably because since he was a child he did not want to let other children see they made him cry with what they did to him.

What do you think?

Requested sketch of a lovely Sophia The First OC; Seraphine!
I hope you like it!
I hate to point this out but some of ya’ll are sleeping on Sofia the First lore and it shows
We need more Cedric content so here ya go! It's not finished but I like it.
